So one last question regarding phones. Would an "I" phone, which I purchased from Verizon in the USA be compatible with Colombia networks. I had heard that USA phones were not compatible with the phone system in Colombia, hence I have two phones and extra Verizon SIM cards with me as you previously suggested. Again my apologies for not being technically savvy on all this, but I recall a while back another poster explained that the system or network in Colombia was not compatible with the USA system, or perhaps that has changed?
If you have iPhone 6 or later, it should be multi band and work with all 4 G LTE carriers if it is unlocked. As stated by other posters, CDMA (Verizon, Sprint) vs GSM (AT&T, T-mobile, rest of the world) was a compatibility issue only for 2 G /3 G. After the world moved to 4 G LTE, theoretically all carriers use the same standard, but each carrier still use a different frequency. Some phone manufacturers didn't include multi band 4 G in their phones to keep the cost down, especially the earlier models. Newer phones are usually multi band (iPhones, Google Pixel, etc.) but the really cheap models could still be single band.

One day in Medellin and I was ready to leave.
I was there 1 week and was ready to go. Save your 3 week trips for Brazil. Much more to do there. Medellin is pretty boring to be honest and the strip club scene and bars has declined a lot.
I wish more guys felt like him and the guy to whom he replied! More chicas for me!
But I don't find Medellin to be boring. Beyond the chicas, which you could easily see morning, noon and night, there are things to do. Restaurants, bars, clubs, parapent, ATV tours, Castillo, zoo, Jardin, museum with the Boteros. Hell, I love just going to one of the malls and picking up chicas. To each his own! Let's spread the word that Medellin sucks.
If the phone is unlocked it will work with a sim card from anywhere. It doesn't matter that the phone is from the USA Or the sim card is from elsewhere, all that matters is that the phone is unlocked.
I was just looking for a cheap phone for Colombia using this info:
"Will my US cell phone work in Colombia?
If your unlocked cell phone has GSM 850 and 1900 bands it should work in Colombia. A CDMA phone will not work in Colombia. In the US, both Verizon and Sprint use CDMA. An unlocked GGSM quad band phone is a good choice for Colombia and other countries."

If you can do 3 a day then your motivation to run around from casa to casa and use SA are higher and you will probably have more fun. My testosterone level is 200 now. I had it checked. My penis is literally dying. LOL.

It's the most convenient way for me. There are very inexpensive dual SIM phones from Xiaomi and Blu you can buy unlocked on line or at the Opera mall in Centro.
For awhile I used a dual SIM Huawei I bought in Colombia. It was comparable to the Samsung Galaxy I had broken. My T-Mobile SIM in one slot and a Claro SIM in the other let me use Claro for high speed data and T-Mobile for calls to and from the US. WhatsApp worked regardless of which SIM was active.
It wasn't the cheapest, but about 1 third the price of a comparable Samsung or iPhone. I felt it was an acceptable compromise.
I am very confident the iPhone will work. I think you will enjoy the convenience.

La Isla
Hi,
I'm heading back down to Medellin in a couple weeks and was wondering if strip clubs like La Isla or Fase Dos are still open? I've not heard much talk of them recently but keen to go if they are back open as I liked the selection pre covid times.
Also when looking for FB girls how do you even begin searching for them? I'm at a loss but would like to see if there is something that takes my fancy.
I'm hoping that I can use Tinder mainly or worst case maybe even join up to SA, I'm going to try and avoid the street walkers.
Its dated info but, I went to La Isla with some buddies back in August it was a Friday or Saturday night and we maybe went too early but it filled up with guys and ladies and was a great time. I didn't plan and bring enough cash.
My 2nd trip to Medellin will be March 9-18 at Hotel M, willing to meet up with any like minded guys.

Hotel brisas de jardin
Who was the middle aged gringo trying to grab the ass of my chica as we were going up the stairs of hotel brisas just now around 5:30?

I took this new girlfriend chica of mine to centro comercial la central to go see a movie (uncharted fuera del mapa) in Spanish and to eat KFC. I had a great fucking time and spent only like 20 usd on everything. One day is not enough I need one lifetime here LOL.

Unlocked phone
That is not correct. Any SIM card will work in any network unlocked phone. The phone has to be compatible with the Colombia networks. Among the few exceptions are older 3 G phones that will provide limited coverage and no coverage at all within a few months.
All I know is my phone is completely unlocked and works with any sim card I put in it. I picked it up in Tijuana at an elektra for like $400 usd it's a huawei P30 it came networked unlocked right out the box. It came with a unefon (AT&T) sim card I immediately put a telcel simcard in and it worked fine, I put a claro sim card in it in bogot and it works fine, I put GCI sim card in it when I'm working in Alaska and it works fine. I get 4 G data, phonecalls, txt, everything works 100% and registering it in Colombia with my passport was a breeze too.

Yes, that's how it's done.
Any update on this? I want to try out the swinger club, but I want to hear if anyone has any experience with it before I go.
Do you have a girl in Medellin who is willing to go to a swingers club with you and participate freely? If not, chances are you will be wasting your time.
Some Colombian swing clubs set up special nights for single men. Some clubs don't setup special events, but allow single men in on certain nights. The busiest nights are usually for couples only. Single women are always allowed.
If there's a special event for single men it might be worth going, although the ratio of women to men is unlikely to be in your favor. If there isn't some special event, you'll likely find a lot of men, a few women and not many who are attractive.
You can probably find a girl who will go, but most aren't going to participate. Which leaves you paying a girl so you can pay to get in and watch from the sidelines.
Swinging can be a lot of fun with the right partner, but it's not likely to be a good time with just a random girl.
