Post COVID American s are number 47 in amount of Tourists. Maskeless Farangs are more likely from Europe.

Number 1 country sending tourists might be Indians. Number 2 Myanmar. Number 3 Malaysia. Or some kind of wackyness.

Really does make sense avg spend per tourist is way down.

Bit early, so decided I'd walk up the soi a bit, then walk back. As I was walking, a door pops open. Mid-afternoon, there were 2 ladies in FULL evening dresses, 1 with a DEEP V neck and some VERY NICE cleavage showing. Went inside, besides the 2, there were 3 others sitting in a row of chairs along the window, looking out the drawn curtain for likely [I]candidates[/I]. I checked the prices, decent, same as other places. I picked one of the attractive "Jills-in-the-Box", and up we went along a STEEP and NARROW staircase. Small room, but clean, a/c worked, small shower stall in the room. She (as usual) left to grab her kit. As I somewhat remember, we showered together, she starting a BBBJ in the shower. Then to the bed where I received a very decent massage from strong hands. Then, flipped over on back and we got down to the nitty-gritty. Very enjoyable, enjoyable enough, in the ensuing years, I'd visit once a trip and take the same girl. This is probably not representative of the percentage of these nationalities visiting Bangkok and Pattaya as I doubt many of the tourists from the neighboring countries go there but rather just cross the border for business purposes, especially Malaysia.

Used to be one of my go to places pre-covid. Had a regular who I barebacked. Returned this September and had a great session with a young, pretty girl before leaving for Pattaya Price is a couple of hundred baht more than the ones across on Soi 24/1.

I've read about Patpong dying. Not my favorite place by far EXCEPT for 1) SOL, 2) The World, 3) Foodland restaurant. I figure Foodland is still there, but curious as to status of SOL and The World (the bar on the upper level near SOL).

In search of something new (well, new to me), I went up to The World. Only a couple of providers, but one was fun. Besides, when I walked in, the lights were dimmed (NOT just to improve the ambiance), a large floor fan was turned on directly on me, and hey, a cold 100 baht Singha, a head bobbing up and down between my legs, and 60's-70's hard rock turned on for tunes, worked for me, several times.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the status of these places are. Will be back next month, so it will be practical advice.

That branch of Foodland continues to be the least busy of the ones that I'm familiar with. Business at the one on Soi 5 has actually picked up a lot in recent months, although the little restaurant they have in there, "tok lae dee", is not nearly as crowded as it was pre-Covid. SOL is also still there as is the The World although YMMV at both since Patpong is very quiet these days. Business has picked up faster at Soi Cowboy and Nana.

One of the mystery s of BKK right up there with Thaniya Road, how do those Karaoke places pay Rent.

Asok, Sukhumvit, and Ratchada branches do Brisk Business. Patpong never do I see many customers at Dinner.
