I was at Hard Rock cafe one night and they offered a special on large bottles of presidente beer. Hard Rock cafe is not a cheap place, but you pay extra for location and the ambiance of the place, with clothes worn by famous musicians (Elton John, Madonna, Lenny Kravitz etc) hanging on the walls. On the weekends, sometimes live music inside.

My prior post where I quoted your prior post, was geared towards ISG member Oldkool, who will be staying at the Jaragua Hotel Casino with a DR chica from Punta Cana.

If I remember correctly, you may be staying at the Jaguar Hotel (Jaragua and Jaguar are two different hotels). The chica friendly Jaguar hotel is located about two blocks behind the Jaragua Hotel and Casino.

Staying at the Jaguar you will be about two blocks from the La Cadena supermarket, go left when you leave Jaguar, then make a left at the next cross street and walk straight and after two blocks will be the La Cadena supermarket. Across the street from the La Cadena supermarket is a small inexpensive place that sells food.

Go left after exiting the Jaguar and two blocks later will be Manolos and you will see the rear entrance for the Jaragua.

Streetwalkers can still be found on Indenpendencia, as well as on El Conde in zona colonial.

To me, any enclosed pay for venue is a casa, I call GBP a casa even though the chicas don't live there. GBP and Palacio de Playboy (zona colonial) have prices starting at 1000 pesos. Club MC and Pink Pony have advertised in the past, prices starting at 1000 pesos.

If you want to see all the SWs, then you will need a car, try to find a taxi driver who will not try to rip you off. There is a Dominican taxi driver named Louis who stands outside Coppa every night, I would suggest you not use him. A one way taxi fare from Jaguar to Avenida Churchill (aka Ave Jimenez Moya) at night after 8pm, should be about 150 pesos. On my past few trips I have seen SWs near Avenida Churchill at its intersection with the Malecon, also on the Malecon near Princess Cabanas.

ISG member Knowledge has also listed other areas where SWs can be found, he posted those locations recently.

All I asked for was a beer, it still took them 40 minutes. 20 minutes till I got a waiter, another 20 to actually get the beer. Moral to story is don't get a Draft beer!

[/QUOTE]Back in November/December of last year the Policia Nacional came down hard and heavy on the SW. One gigantic broom and they swept the SW off the streets in Gazcue. There are reports of SW in different areas but that means driving around town to find these locations. The Gazcue SW were ideal because a monger could walk out of his hotel and in the past would find 50 or so SW within a five minute walk. BlkPanter sorry to report and confirm those days are over with.

You will read a few reports of SW being available but the truth is there are few and far between. You might find a few independents in Jaragua Casino, maybe? One of the larger hangout corners for the SW now sells paintings. The SW used to be on the Malecon but now the only thing you will find on the Malecon are taxi drivers. The late night candy vendor no more has the SW buying candy and gum. He sits alone without a SW in sight.

Knowledge posted a report on the locations where SW are now available, but you will need a car. My thought on picking up a SW is to do it on foot. I used to like walking the streets and check the chica out before closing the deal. Trying to pick up a SW in a car is not the way to do it, at least for me.

The most recent report there are a few, very few SW out but you need to keep a constant look out for them.

After waiting awhile, I got up and went to Segafredo, where they have the Beds (one block east on El Conde from hard rock cafe) , I laid on the beds at Segafredo and drank beer with the chicas. If your chica is not with you when you check into the Jaragua, you MUST give her full name at the time of check-in, otherwise when she arrives, they may not let her into your room. I once gave the names of three different chicas who I knew would be visiting me at the Jaragua and they were allowed to my room, no problem.

Rome the HBO series is available with a Spanish language track.
