Asoke BTS / Sukhumvit MRT
I didn't know it was possible to cross Soi 21 through an underground passage. As far as I know the escalator down just after the exit from Asoke BTS station only leads to the MRT.
But I could be wrong. Where does this underground passage 'surface' on the Soi Cowboy side of Soi 21?
The Asoke BTS station escalator goes down towards the MRT entrance. To get on an MRT train you take the escalator downstairs and turn left to the ticket booth and trains. Walk 10 seconds straight ahead instead of turning left. You'll find escalators that will take you upstairs to soi Asoke aka Soi 21. These escalators will drop you off on soi Asoke next to Citibank (between the Citibank and Soi Cowboy). The Asoke BTS station also has a covered walkway you can use to cross Asoke). Very convenient if you are going to Soi 23 and want to avoid Soi Cowboy.
Best BKK reports I've ever read!
By this point I've been in Bangkok for over 2 weeks, took some time off from the hobbying to recover. There's no way having the wonder pill in my system everyday for 2 weeks plus alcohol plus my old man medications can be healthy. Feeling ok, plenty of good food and a metric ton of tourism out of the way, I bravely plowed on with the sex for hobbying day 12.
Just must say how incredible your reports are. I visited BKK ages ago, and wasn't going back anytime soon, but now I kind of want to. Tons of useful intel; hell, a newbie can build a trip itinerary from these reports. Kudos!
Accommodation. Dynasty Grande Hotel Soi 6
I just saw this one was open again.
Dynasty Grande Hotel on Soi 6.
It used to be my go to place, before covid came and closed it.
Which was when I found and moved to Adelphi Suites.
And its just 2000 baht per night at the moment.
Questions and "questions"
Imagine how many people don't post because they are afraid of being told RTFF.
I'm worried about just the opposite. Now if their post is an FR, an FR doesn't generate RTFF / UTFSE replies. It generates good will as it's a CONTRIBUTION. Likewise, if it's an answer to a question, answers don't generate RTFF / UTFSE replies. It's questions that have ALREADY been answered, especially in the previous (arbitrary number) 10 pages that generate such. Just imagine the page after page of: How do I find 19-21 year olds? How much to pay? Where should I go to see hot ladies?, etc, etc, etc. (The horror, the horror).
Now, if you've bothered to read the last 10 pages, you'll see that when an FR poster mistook Soi 7/1 for Soi Cowboy, several members corrected him (one even gave a specific example of how to get to Soi Cowboy). There was no RTFF / UTFSE replies.
Another asked where Thermae was, BUT he also added some words to show that he'd tried to find the answer. He knew it was near the Ruamchitt Hotel. Didn't see any RTFF / UTFSE replies in the answer; the answer even included a picture of the entrance. So NOT ALL questions receive a RTFF / UTFSE.
Finally, if people are SO sensitive they can't withstand a breath of heat, a bit of criticism, then they should wait as it seems pointless to monger until they grow a pair. Oh, I just wish this thread was a happy place [S]...[/S].
