One thing I've always liked about Thailand is that pharmacies treat you like an adult. For all non-narcotic prescriptions I've needed (few, but some), simply walk into the pharmacy, say what you need, and it's [I]over the counter[/I] simple. No prescription needed. You're an adult, if you want to put something in your body, up to you.
With the Covid antivirals, it's different. You do need a doctor's prescriptions. Tried several pharmacies, all said the same thing.
Now, these days, about the last place I want to go is a hospital. I don't want to infect someone in a weakened state, and I certainly don't want to catch something worse from someone in mine. Decide on Camillian Hospital. It's old, been here forever. Nice thing about old, the FRONT door is clearly visible from the street, no wandering around. Walk through the hospital's parking lot, and off to the side of the entrance, there's a tent. All the signs are in Thai, but I'll take the chance, and sure enough, it's a Covid test and exam station. Nurse speaks English, I tell her I'd like a doctor's prescription for an antiviral. Have to wait a couple of minutes as the one person ahead of me finishes processing, then it's my turn. Sit in a chair for the interview. Documentation collected, answering questions, while my vitals are being taken. No fever, no breathing difficulties, blood pressure fine. All the usual stuff. I show the nurse my vaccine card, and she asks with all the vaccinations (5), how could I catch Covid. I answer that's what [B]I[/B] want to know.
Moved over to the doctor's cubicle. Again more medical questions (usual, meds, allergies, etc.). While we're talking they connect the finger oxygen monitor again and ask me to take some deep breaths. Oxygen saturation good. I'm getting a little worried that I might not be sick enough for antivirals. But the doctor says that, given my age, I automatically qualify. So all the snide comments about blue pill popping old men from you young whippersnappers, just know that we also have priority for antivirals. Nah, nah, na, na, nah.
Hospital will fill the prescription, I just have to wait in the well dispersed waiting area. Out comes the credit card machine for payment, and awhile later, the bag of pills.
The doctor did ask if I had fever meds, cough meds, etc. I did, and it seems that they would just offer over the counter meds for all that, with having you isolate at home. All total, took less than 30 minutes, full damages 4400 baht. Will go back next week for a chest x-ray just to be sure.
My guess is that most every hospital will have a similar set-up.
The reason I post this is two-fold:
1. Covid is still out there, lurking, waiting for YOU.
2. If you're under 50, and have only [I]mild[/I] symptoms, just stay home. But if you're over 50, you should qualify for antivirals.

I like Baccarra because they wear those short skirts without underwear. It's alluring. Suzy Wong had full nudity. Only one girl was decent. At least 1 other club had nudity.
- Crazy Girls seemed to be always packed. I hate sitting check to check with other customers. Observed the following: When it isn't crowded, Baccarra allows you in without making you buy a drink at the outside bar. Then when it gets packed, they made everyone (even the East Asians) buy a drink outside before coming in. I don't like that. If I go into a bar, and it's only check to check sitting, I don't want to go in; I prefer to leave.

Latest research shows if antiviral medications taken there is more likelyhood there will be a relapse. They are not sure why. It is theorized that medications suppress virus and does not eliminate them from your body.
My son is a doctor (he gave me covid when I visited him while back). He works as the head of covid task force in hospital. It happened to president Biden and many other prominent people triggering research.
The doctors say get plenty of rest, lots of fluids and absolutely no pussy. (I just added it LOL) Only get treatment if you have serious complications.

After all the hours that I've spent across the street or sitting in one of the bars and watching what was going on in the street, I could see only two girls that might be doable (and they are not even close to what was available there pre covid). Both of them were staying in front of Hooters, they were not there the same night. Both were dark skinned and tried to put an effort in their make up and clothes. One looked a bit chubby with and ok face but the other one looked like she had a nice body and her face looked ok to me too, both wearing long and dark hairs.
The one that had a nice body even rejected a young Indian dude, don't know what was her reason as I was not close to hear them. I didn't see any of these soi 4 prostitutes being taken by any guy.
The quality went down in the NEP also but I still saw many girls leaving with customers and others coming back to work.

Went to Nana a few times, wanted to give a summary of what's happening.
Nana isn't as crowded as pre-covid, but there was still plenty of people and plenty of girls. A little less girls than before, but still far more than enough, if not far too many for the smaller amount of customers.
Some early impressions: The bar in the middile of Nana plaza was happening early to late and seems to attract more people now. Its fairly decently priced and not a shit show like the bars on Soi blasting music non-stop. Was much more chill and seemed to attract more people, in a good way, and is a good spot before, during, and after visiting a gogo. Plenty of weeds shops in the area charging only a bit more than other tourist areas.
Topless vs. Bikini: All the ground floor gogos are bikini only, and none were particularly interesting. These all seemed to get less clients, as people just went up a floor. The small bottom floor ones would only have a couple customers, seriously. Only a handful of gogos even do topless right now.
The good: Angelwitch, Billboards, Butterflies all did topless. Rainbow 4 (bikini) still has the best overall, but it caters to the asian / japanese audience and a lot of the girls are going for the japanese look still. Rainbow 4 also varied a lot on how many girls were around, sometimes it would feel like there's only a dozen girls, then like 15 minutes later, there's be 40 girls in the club, then disappear again. Angelwitch remains the most fun club, because it plays rock and is chill, the shows get old quick, but good looking ladies as the other good bars. Billboards is just frustrating to be at, as its playing deafening loud dance music, and its crowded enough it can be tough to get a seat, but is second to Rainbow 4 for looks, and easily had the most dancers of any bar. Butterflies feels like its on its last legs, the girls were nothing special you couldn't get at any of the other gogos, but this is a more "strip club" like experience if you don't want the in your face gogo, or if you want lapdances.
The why bother: Spanky's, any of the other Rainbows, any ground floor gogos, Sexy Night, Mandarin, and Geishas. Feel free to pop your head in, but you're simply better off going to other spots or Cowboy.
The bad: All of the gogos in the stairs / corner areas on both sides. Some were advertising drink specials, which turned out to be misleading. Thats how I ended up in a couple, only to be mad that I ended up there. Anyways, none were even worth it, only a few girls anyways, and felt a bit ripped off and taken advantage of, don't spend your time or money. LBs at Straps seemed bored, they seemed to be getting zero customers at any point of all my times there and like 10 of them were standing outside, all the time, non stop, enough for everyone in Nana to notice, not even bothering to try to do the LB thing to grab customers. Maybe they'll change format.
Overall, I say the quality at Nana is in decline as a whole, I'll say more on Cowboy later, but the ladies there were significantly better, which is a bit of a flip. Previously I thought Nana was the winner pre-covid and cowboy was declining, not anymore. Cowboy was the winner.
