Based on the actual experience of my friend who was caught in a raid, it is not just one cop it is about 4 or 5 and includes a lady cop too as part of the team, first thing is they ask you to switch off your phones (or they may collect them) there is no talking to the cops at this time if you try to make a deal you will possible face a charge of bribery too and this is much worse and I seriously don't recommend it, once in the station you are put into a holding area or a room, they will let you sweat it out, I would not bother talking about human rights at this time or demanding a phone call as it is pointless the only bargaining point would be to somehow win the sympathy of one of the cops, but the best bet is if you can somehow get a message to a lawyer who can come right away, they will be in the best position to negotiate a deal. But on a lighter note what is discussed is a worst case, in everything there is an element of risk, (even crossing the road) but it is best to be prepared, always avoid peak times the cops like to haul a big catch, Fridays and pay days are more risky.
If possible always try to inform a friend that you can trust who will call you in an hours time and confirm you are ok and if not inform your lawyer.

Also it is probably safer to use free lancers and a discrete hotel, the problem with Spa's is that it is a grey area, no one really knows what is going on inside, so even if it is a legitimate one and the cops raid it and say it is a brothel it becomes a problem, actually the funny thing is it is probably safer to go to a brothel because these guys pay the cops a huge amount and legitatemate Spa's don't

The most troublesome scenario is if it is a "chinthanaya" and "urumaya" type of holier than thou cop who shows that he is incorruptible at law enforcement during the daytime while sodomising his mistress discretely in the nighttime. That kind of cop will drag you to the cop station, and then your best bet is to phone a contact high up in the police like a SSP etc, who can put in a discrete word for you to get you out, which usually works but make sure you do it before they write anything in the books. If you don't have a contact then it's bad luck and you had best call your lawyer and hope you can get out ASAP.

Heres what happened.

1. Was getting a massage and a pitakotte MP, when all of a sudden a girl rushes in and tells the massuese that a raid is occuring, I quickly managed to get into my trousers, then the bloody police came in, conducted a search of the premises, put the girls into one room, got hold of the mamasan and gave her a thundering slap and another man was identified and slapped as well. There was a cop who was the overall in charge and there was one guy who was with us who then switched to the police group (he was wearing plain clothes). Then the two proprietors and the girls were loaded into two unmarked pajero jeeps which were tinted as hell. While we were leaving I noticed that the remaning cops were going through the books etc, making notes and another unmarked dark pajero came. This was very unrattelling. The second time unfortunately I was the only monger at the place getting a massage (again this happened before the HJ), and all of a sudden there was a huge racket and the door burst open and cops came in, luckily I was in my pants. The cops did not appear to be as well informed as the previous cops about who the owners were and some were suspicious of me as well. Luckily I managed to show my job card, which is a job the cops respect, and the head cop (hugely fat and definitely corupt fellow with a fat seiko watch) told me that he is letting me go because of my job, and never to visit these seedy places. Walked out of the place and was embarassed as people had gathered to watch the action, immediately vanished from the place.

On both occasions there was a female police officer, and there was a cop who appeared to be overall in charge. Its this guy whom you must have a talk to and see. I was not advocating bribery but just be aware of the possibility, because most of the cops use this opportunity to get some free cash. Never openly try to bribe a cop, just drop a neutral hint and see. Also have patience, sometimes they rag you and then let you go.

The sole reason behind the seen was they were operating without a license all these days which was not communicated even to the most senior lady " K".. The Arota at Bambalapitiya -Duplication road was raided due to the sole reason being operating without a license and the girls were remanded for 14 days. Arota is run by the elder sister of the owner of Aorta. After the raid of Arota... Aorta also was closed till the license being obtained. This is the real truth behind the scene. Not that bullshit story of No Water.. But I do not know how safe these places re as Chinthanaya is working out rapidly. As another monger stated its best to take a freelencer to a genuine hotel and enjoy all the extras and a massage as well. Anyhow it seems the posh places like Spa Home chain is safe.. Anyhow any one knows whether the SunRi Om is operating..?

BTW Nirovin was also raided few weeks back but no harm to the customers. They were released at the same time.

If the MP's are willing to implement what I suggested taking into consideration what JayDee has mentioned as well, all what the MP's need to do apart from what I suggested is to get the Girl on duty to tell the client to switch off the phone till the session is ended. For example if my phone is off for a extended period of time, my partner gets suspicious and it leads to problems afterwards. So its better to have the phone on and answer and tell a lie rather than putting it off. Also a businessman might not want his phone off for one hour. As he may loose vital calls. But as you suggested some form of preventing communication is the answer.

If she is in a private hospital, it is unlikely that she was arrested. If she was arrested, the only hospital she can escape to are government ones according to the law. But if she was not arrested and she was fearing imminent arrest, then she can check into a private hospital, but the consultant in charge must be willing to accomodate her. Most consultants are reluctant to "grant sactuary" for villians as it involves additional legal problems as well. Lalith Uncle was a influential person who had the doctor at national hospital in his pocket, thats why he was able to get away with it for so long. But not many consultants are willing to risk their neck for a prostitute of a mamasan.

Dear friends,

Mongering in this country is very difficult, but we must try to be absolutely objective, and not get emotional. The "Taliban" at the moment is attacking alcohol (although alcohol sales are holding up), smoking, and local sex websites, but NOT at the moment focusing on massage parlours. That may come in the near future, but I don't think it has happened yet. The raids that have happened up to now are due to the normal Police skulduggery, i.e due to not getting sufficient payoffs.

The relatively safe MP's at present are those which stay on the "good side" of the Police. It may be difficult for us to judge an individual MP from this point of view, but if you get to know one or two reliable girls they will tell you how the Police "liaison" is going.

It is quite possible that some MP owners have good political connections, and that is the best guarantee of safety. On the other hand, any place with a connection to an opposition politician will be a disaster. I have heard a rumour that "Rosie" was associated with a place. I don't know whether this is true or not, but better to avoid it.
