And I explain to them there is no reason to stress out over or let something that you can not control bother you. I tried monogamy, 3 wives, 3 divorces, along with several long term monogamous (supposedly) relationships. The only relationship which made me content was when we were swingers, but that girlfriend created too much stress.
After trying to find a replacement with all the advantages and none of the stress, I realized the source of the stress. Me. It was all the baggage I grew up with, telling me I needed 1 woman, blah, blah, blah.
When I was reminiscing about the best ones, I realized I didn't want them as they are now. I wanted them as they were then, in their 20's looking their best. I don't want to grow old with someone and do the happily ever after crap. Instead, I want to enjoy my moments and know that somewhere, some girls are remembering me fondly.
I finally understood that several years ago when the daughter of my first wife and the girlfriend who came after, both contacted me. The ex-wife had died and apparently had spent most of her life regretting the breakup. The girlfriend, now a grandmother, called me one of the great loves of her life. I'd rarely thought about either woman in decades.
Now, I have a few women who I'm comfortable with, about 40 years younger than me (60 is just around the corner). I've got another dozen who I can be comfortable with for several hours along with several hundred I can enjoy for long enough. When I'm done with them there's no breakup bullshit. Nobody has to pack up and move, no paperwork, no months of stress, just a simple "chao."

I am back to states now, asking for next time. I went to some strip clubs at centro, but never went to casas at centro. Because the centro street just blow my mind. I was walking toward the centro from the university square area, from the north. And then near the centro, I see something like homeless people living near bus station, camps, drugheads around the bus hub. The noise, the smell, the scene, I can't describe, it is worse than the documentary in Africa, I means, I watch a lot of documentaries I thought I knew the world but hey I did not know enough, and they actually just live on the path where I have to walks thru. And motorcycles were speeding and not following the traffic signal. I was born in a third world country and before I went to centro I thought Medellin ain't that bad but I just blow my mind. And then I walked to the business area it was alright, not too bad. Acceptable, however I noticed people can instantly distinguish me as foreigner. I was wearing plain white T-shirt, khaki pants, no backpack, with a cap, mask. I thought nobody will notice me. But the young thugs stood around the corner instantly looked at me. Damn. He looked away when I look back, but he definitely senses my fear.
So, I was kind of afraid accidently walk to chaos area like near the bus hub. So, I didn't go to the casa. Going to casa means I need to walk to the area that I don't know and no guarantee.
Casas at laurels are difficult to find, worldtraveler69's map does not have the accurate address for the Laurels casas. And some of them are temporarily closed. So I walk to the map locations and miss two cases.
So, I think the best place to go to casas got to be at centro.
Also, it is because I calculated my cost. I spent too much time on commutes. Too much money on facebook girls. Casas girls are more economic option for me. So. I decided to plan my next trip as centro trip.
However, I don't want to accidently walk into unsafe blocks. I heard some people mentioned earlier that we don't want to go to vennies area. Shame, because vennies girls are hot. Anyway, I will take those advice but I couldn't find them anymore, I use the research tool and couldn't find those posts anymore.
Can someone outline a relatively safe area at el centro and post it on the photo gallery board? Thanks.

There are small bar / casa type place near the university. For place to stay, you can find the location of [B]New Life[/B] and look for airbnb around the area. Or find [B]Parque del Periodista[/B] and look for airbnb in the direction away from el centro

Greetings! Just finished up my sixth trip to Medellin over the last year and, as others have noted, the mongering hordes have made it not quite what it was a year ago. Taxi drivers (especially near Lleras) are more crooked, chicas are raising prices (slightly), and it's certainly not the buyers market that it was. Still, there's great value to be had. New bars and restaurants are opening, and things look noticeably different than a year ago on my first trip. I mostly sessioned with 2 FB chicas that I've known for the past year, but managed to add 3 new FB chicas this trip. 12 sessions total this trip. My sessions were limited to nighttime only, as I had to work during the day. I'm not a Centro guy.
Location (s): Stayed four nights for the first time at San Peter Apartments in Laureles. If you don't mind some noise, it's an ideal location. Chica friendly. No guest fees. Only limit is based on the number of people booked for the room. Chicas must check in and out with the front desk. I was on the 12th floor in an Airbnb. Wi-Fi was good, but still a decent amount of noise from the bars and clubs around.
Next four nights were at Loma Verde Apartments in Poblado. I like staying there for the pool and the quiet. But, it's 100 mil per chica after the first chica. If you've got one chica coming over a number of nights, it's great. The two who visited me were impressed with the apartment. If you're having multiple chicas over per day, I'd recommend staying elsewhere. Costs will get prohibitive.
Chicas: As I said, my sessions were limited to nighttime. I will say that all chicas had a propensity for tardiness. Even more than usual. As others have commented, if a chica tells you a time, add an hour. I found myself adding 1.5 hours on more than one occasion. I put my initial post up on FB on Sunday and had about 20-25 responses within an hour. A few quoted 300 mil plus taxis. I just wished them luck. I'm not paying those prices. I sessioned with all 3 new FB chicas at San Peter. All were 200 mil, good service, 2 went for BB and the other required a condom. One was a genuine squirter. Multiple hours and pops from each. For newbies, tell them exactly what you want. Whatever it is, the chicas have heard it before. If you don't specify exactly what you want before she arrives, you will likely get up charged. For me it's simple. 2 leches, mamada sin condom, sexo natural, 2 horas. And, as others have said, have some snacks and drinks. Smirnoff Ice (green) tend to be popular. And bring or buy a portable speaker if you can. All of these chicas love their music. Get her to dance a little between sessions.
As for my regulars, went out to some clubs in Poblado (one was a Hookah bar on the other side of Lleras from Gusto's) they wanted to visit with friends. It's always a good time and, like always, we usually take home one of their amigas after the night for a trio. 200-250 k depende.
A few things to note. Prices are going up. You can tell just on restaurant menus where prices have been crossed out. It's still an incredible value compared to the States, just not quite as good as before. I also found myself using Uber more this time. The taxi drivers (especially at night) have gotten atrocious. You get into the cab and the meter is off. I immediately ask cuanto cuesta? He tells me 20 mil for a 5 mil ride. Screw that. I tell him 10 mil (I shouldn't have even offered that) or nada. He lets me out. I take an Uber for 5700. Just my experience, but for anyone coming in for their first time, check the taxi meter when you get in, especially near Lleras.

For beers, their runaway number one favorite is Corona. A surprising number of them prefer it room temperature. They will sometimes take the beer out of the fridge and let it sit for awhile, so you might consider putting half your beers in the fridge and keeping half of them out. Why ask why, jeje? I have walked thru the worst areas of El Centro at all hours sticking out like a sore thumb, dressed in an Adidas track suit and wearing a shoulder bag. Never had a problem. But by just feeling you are out-of-place is enough to make you a target and then you are rightly avoiding the area.
I take out and use my cellular all the time sitting in the middle of Ground Zero. Usually without about 2-3 minutes, I can sense a young fit Colombian male eyeballing from over one of my shoulders who looks like he could run the 100 meter dash in about 11 seconds. In other words no one is going to catch him after a snatch and grab. Then I put away my phone and or move to a new spot. Plus, I have been very lucky and I hope I don't jinx myself by writing this, jaja.
The point is, we call can be overly cautious or not cautious enough but you should not behave in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable because that is the first step of what makes you stand out as a target. Generally, it is a good idea to stay in your comfort range.
Well, yes, that is mostly true. It sounds like the original poster might have found himself in Prado which is a sort of concentrated version of Centro. On the side of the original poster I will say I agree with the motorcycle behavior he described. It's gotten worse the past few years; motorcycles heed stop lights on a part time basis only. It can be confusing and dangerous if you aren't accustomed to it. They just blow through red lights unless their path is blocked.
