Hi all. I'll be arriving in Manila late on a Friday night...probably around 11pm. How late does the action go in this town (first time in PI)? Where's the best place to go at that time of the night? I'll be staying in Makati. I'm guessing either P. Burgos or the EDSA complex, but thought I would get some recommendations.
The bars on P. Burgos will be more expensive than the bars at the EDSA International Complex. So, if you want to start off slow and not spend too much on the first night then, check out EDSA first.
note: i have regularly had therapeutic massages for well over 25 years and truly know what a good massage is.
i was in makati for 4 days last week and stayed at the city garden makati hotel. the first day i arrived i decided to try the hotel massage and am so glad i did. keep in mind i had just traveled 26 hours, was jet laggin' and exhausted.
i asked the front desk manager who the best massage therapist in their spa and he quickly said josie. so, i called the spa and requested her asap. she arrived 20 minutes later, was in her mid 30's, attractive but gave off the "therapeutic only" vibe.
josie's massage was an 11 on a scale of 1 - 10. no joke. she was an artist. she had a sixth sense about what she was doing and it was a magical massage. if she was in my home town area, i would be seeing her once a month. honestly, i can't say enough good about her work.
so, if you're in makati and are looking for a no sextra's massage, be smart and set it up with josie. it will be 600 peso's very, very well spent.
No direct bus to Angeles from airport, exit arrivals and turn right past all the mafia taxis, walk around the bend and cross over to other side, any bus from here will take you to Victory liner terminal in Pasay 25 piso, taxi from upstairs departures, to Pasay 120piso, catch Victory liner bus here to Dau, if you say Angeles they pretend not to understand, say you don't want insurance when you buy your ticket, its a scam to get a further 20 piso and the insurance is worthless, on arrival in Dau you can if you prefer, take trike to Fields Ave, no more than 70piso, or 20 minutes walk, or take jeepney from McArthur highway to SM clark 8piso, if you need any more information pm me, I shall try to help, I have done this trip many times, I hope to be in AC July 4-5.
Or go to Swagman Hotel or Southern Cross Hotel and catch their service to Angeles. The tourist bus.
Southern Cross leaves once at about 3 30 pm
And Swagman leaves 11 30 3 pm? And 8 pm or 8 30 pm.
You take taxi to them and then catch the bus. They are in ermita by the us embassy
Or they will pick you up and meet you at the airport but the cost for that is 500 or 700? Unless you book a room with them?
And the price to Angeles is 500 or 600 from their hotels in Manila.
This may come as a surprise to some but most people in the Filipino community do not appreciate what we do as it relates to mongering activity when we are in their country. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true!
And Filipinos don't monger? LOL. Go see all the sleazy bars and KTV's near domestic airport if in doubt. Theres as much action and prostitution going on there as ever there was in LAC. Ah but they are locals so it doesn't matanother site right.
He did close LAC in 2002, but Lim lost the court case. LAC owners has sued him again:D Maybe LAC is coming back:)...
...
One week prior to the bar’s closure, authorities rounded up over 200 persons, mostly women and including minors, after the International Justice Mission (IJM) wrote Lim complaining about the bar which it claimed was engaged in prostitution.
Great news that LA Café owner is filing suit. I would support him financially if I could. We all should, though I doubt he needs much help from this perspective but still I'd like to do my bit.
"International Justice Mission" are a bunch of religious fanatics who like to impose their narrow world views in the world, including Cambodia and other countries. They engage in sexual abuses by interfering with the right of people to have innocent fun.
Thanks gogobarlover and Robbaf for the late night recommendations...I'll likely give EDSA a shot.
One more quick question. Is there a decent Electronics store near the Greenbelt area (where I will be staying)? I'll need to pickup a cheap cell phone, sim card + minutes, and probably a USB wifi adapter (someone recommended Smart Bro?).

Landmark is just Next to glorietta, which is next to green belt. Just a short walk under the covered walkways from green belt.
Yes and Lim probably thinks he brought it out of LAC:D
Robb
And lim also got some brownie points for publicly declaring that he will not bail his son out, though he somehow was released due to some technicality ...
God only knows.
It is a good move on the LAC owners to remind the world of the hundreds of staff who are jobless.
I whole heartedly support them.

Gosh, they can't be screwed by their own people right? LOL
Well, none of the girls you see in Philippines are forced into the trade, they test the waters with locals before upgrading to foreign trade.
And I have met enough girls who were asking for just 500 peso - once i got used to them, because they admit that's the price locals pay for sex.
And, if you been with some natives in QC and Tondo, there are enough cheap casas catering to the native tribes - maybe 100 times that you count in AC and other foreigner bars.

FreebieFan....You are 100% The only problem Filipino's have is they can't spend money like we can and offer the girl any future.

It is very close to Greenbelt, right behind Glorietta Mall. In the center court they have 6 or 7 cell phone booths. Compare and save.

Any ideas where I can meet office girls (secretaries etc.) socially?
Where do these girls like to hang out in the evenings?
After reading the thread, came to g-point as the LAcafe alternative. Pretty much empty except for one other non-local. Drink prices are nice but no women except for staff. Unfortunate that my first report is such a negative one.
Sign up to a site like DIA because alot of the regular girls u can find on there.
