Bit the moment she shows interest in me, he's all over her, cockblocking me telling her about my relationship sitiuation. Did I forget to mention she was SMOKING HOT! Even when her friends show up, the damage is done, and after scooping digits from one, and trying to get her out of the club, the friend stops her and tells her what kyopo has said.

First of all, I am pissed at my buddy, who knows damn better. Secondly, I am tired of the Korean cockblockers, and worst of all, these insecure kyopo guys who would rather steal my potential prize than see a fellow Korean (girl) with a white guy. I have had enough of the double standard bullshit (and I have experienced this enough times to see a consistent pattern).

I desperately don't want to become bigoted, but this is getting over the top!

I'm planning a short visit to Seoul some time at the end of the year on my way for a vacation in Vietnam and I'm just curious what are the chances for a Vietnamese American at these rld's? Though I'm Vietnamese I look very East Asian and the last time I was in Seoul I was mainly mistaken as Korean or Japanese even by other Japanese tourists. Should I pretend to be a gyopo that doesn't know Korean?

But that is the whole point: they DON'T vouch for you. I get more action by myself or with a non-Korean buddy than I ever did with a Korean "wingman". They are all about the sabotage while working the girls for themselves.

Just to confirm some previous reports. The Itaewon juicy bars is an expensive sport. You need to be ready to spend a good amount of money just for drinks and the rest depends on the girl. I've had an offer in one bar for 120K short time but I declined because I didn't like the girl. In all others there was no offer. I've had a nice time with a girl in Lotus BUT be aware the place is a rip off and they charge more drinks than actually the girl has consumed.

From my experience it is only the Lotus that tries to charge more drinks. In all other bars they are decent but Lotus is really a rip off.

I don't want to duplicate what has been amply recorded here, but I just want to report that a mid-40's, bald, pudgy, white and freckled North American with only two Korean phrases can find what he is looking for in Seoul!

I visited Yongsan RLD, Miari RLD and 588 RLD over the past two days (right around lunch time) to check things out. In each location, only about 25% of the windows were occupied. As previously reported in the Forum, the A-Row girls had a distant, glazed-over look to them as I passed by, but perked to life when even the oldest, shriveled, curmudgeon Korean laborer or tinted-window car got within 15 meters. But, since I expected it, I didn't take offense; I just laughed to myself and enjoyed the view. Some were smokin' hot and others were far too impressed with themselves for me to consider them attractive.

B-row ladies at both Yongsan and 588 were more than willing to call me over (Appa....Appa...!), but I didn't see anyone in whom I was interested. One or two were probably possibilities after a sufficient quantity of soju, but not quite what I was looking for--I'm trying to be VERY polite.

I didn't last long at Miari, because I decided to visit the room of the first mamasan that grabbed me; I was not disappointed. There were three girls in the room for me to choose from. But I soooo totally know what you're talking about. If you go to the clubs in Gangnam-gu, especially in Apgujeong or Gangnam-yeok, a lot of those people are kyopos who seriously think they're the shit. Honestly, the more you talk to them, the more you realize just how pathetic they are. They think they're so cool because they're partying in a different country and when the go back to America or Canada, they can brag about how much partying they did.

Well - just did reconnaissance in Miari but the "door's are open" so to speak.

The earlier in the evening and the week the better my luck has been as well. I think if you are reasonably dressed, it's say 6pm on a Monday, Tuesday etc., the "A" row girls can be friendlier. In fact I walk around for kicks on the hill more than partake at this point. Just better and easier in the RLD's mentioned. RLD rates can be had for 60W in many cases.

Another stop is Yeongdeungpo station area. If you veer left as you leave the big department store attached to the subway station you'll find a series of small alleyways that lead to a bowery type zone. Not for the faint of heart or to everyone's liking for sure. Across the major intersection from the department store (again head in a leftward direction is another small RLD. Yeongdeungpo is poor and rough - there is some street walker action up the road (yet again, go left on the main drag. In the afternoon at least the women are usually much older and in pretty bad shape. There is a sprinkling of SW activity on the edges of the RLD area as well.

I'm curious what other SW action is in Seoul that people could post about? Any areas worth checking out? I vaguely recall a post from way back that mentioned a SW area supposedly run by gangs (maybe I'm mis-remembering it) but I can't find the post again.

I've wandered around some streets where there are the no-tell hotels with the "privacy" flaps covering a view of parked cars there. Seems like an obvious area for SW's but I've never seen one.
