good luck to 'em finding spouses. it's hard to imagine any well-balanced person wanting to marry into this nonsense. anyone with half a brain can make money without these twits. most of them will end up more-or-less inbreeding, same as their peers the world over, making their next generations even less appealing. leave them to implode. they will, eventually.

The whole notion of IQs is suspect, IMO. The tests to measure IQ are formulated largely in the West and therefore biased. They fail to take into account cultural issues or modes of thinking, which differ quite dramatically between East and West.

I tend to side with Terry on this one. I'm around these people all day, and a lot of them are already inbred twits.

What these HiSo girls may fantasize about and what their families ultimately impose on them are often two completely opposite things.

I had a conversation, today with a group of my female students about this very topic. One of them is desperate for a BF. She is quite stunning: tall, mix of Indian (grandmother's side) and Thai, therefore a little bit dark for Thai tastes (I wouldn't mind havin' a go...nudge nudge, wink, wink).

She fantasizes about dating a well-known Thai music star (who I happen to know). But, her major criteria for the long-term, according to her family's wishes is quite different:

1/ rich
2/ old (30-40)
3/ Thai, or "acceptable" Asian (no Japanese, maybe Korean, definitely HK Chinese)
4/ A Farang might do, in a pinch. But, they would have to be very well connected (i.e. good family) and extremely well-off.

I'm not sure what Thais consider a "good family" in Farang terms. David Beckham, perhaps? :D

In these types of conversations I've had before with HiSo matriarchs and such, I tested the waters of perception by mentioning my own roots: German nobility (my Great Grandfather was a Graf von Whats-it), certainly much higher up the ladder than all these f-ing Thai Mom Ratchawongs and the Mom Luangs. But, interestingly, it doesn't really compute with them. I suppose if one was loaded to the tits with money, it might be a different story.

On the flip side of this, I know a Swedish guy from a HiSo Swedish family who married an upwardly mobile TG, without his family's blessing and who had to subsequently divorce her because she was lower class, than him - all quite silly really. Although, I did enjoy the reverse come-uppance dealt to the girl's decidely pretentious and thus very annoying family.

Just as an aside... she subsequently became my GF for a short-time and was a great shag and had absolutely massive tits (by any standard).

1. what does she consider to be rich? Obvisouly she is looking for someone who makes much more than 40K Baht a month, but how much is rich, realistically.... David Beckham rich, or just well to do -- which means what?

2. Additionally, does she only want to stay in Thailand or would she want to move elsewhere?

3. How old is she? Uni age? Looking for someone as old as 40?

They try to sell dumb articles to men, and the "Bar girl guide" to the girls. You've never seen it because you are not a girl then they will not offer you. They keep it hidden, instead.
