There's a place just off of Pillar on UN up towards the McD. Right on the corner. It's called 'Le Bistro' something or other.

Very old-school place, like out of "The Sandpebbles".

Not a tourist spot.

Never mentioned this place before, 'cause, didn't want punters to ruin it., barfinewise.which is low for Pinoy businessmen.

Read Cunnings report about how Lim is the destroyer. Destroys projects and livelihoods. Therefore who are the people who would vote for him to do this.

Wouldn't be all the Manila people who built and worked in Baywalk thats for sure.

Certainly wouldn't be the LAC staff or those in whatever squatter areas he has destroyed.

Anyways Lim and Atienza have been going at each other for over 30 years. Now the son on Atienza is also in politics, then he and Lims druggie son can go at each other for the next 30 years. Politics as usual.

Meanwhile you know why EDSA bars are there. Because in the late 80's Lim closed down all the bars that were in Ermita. That was such a fun area, and thats why EDSA bars are where they are now, safe in Pasay.

Its obvious the majority of people want/like what he's doing. No matter how much we may not like it. Its obvious the community does. There are very few communities in the world that would want a bar of this type in their communities. So it should not come as no surprise.

Lim is a demagoge, always boasting he built a hospital for the poor and that sort of stuff. "though on crime and soft on the poor" is his motto.

Trust me. When there is a gang fuck up, as I see in Singapore, instead of not interfering, enough of filipinos will jump into the fight, and end up in the jail, whereas a intelligent person would wait and see what is going on before barging in.

Too many times, the emotionally driven filipinos will screw themselves without wondering about the consequences.

Did you ever wonder about the 8 million who voted for Estrada? I rest my case. LOL

After the dissapointment at g-point, headed to Amazonia around 2am. A few locals and maybe a couple of dozen punters and freelancers. Overall, quality was very average at best, maybe a 20% of what LAcafe used to be like.

This assumes that actual votes cast determine who gets "elected" to office. This is the Philippines, and life isn't always what it seems. Between vote buying, dead people voting, "lost votes," and multiple votes by the same people, there's little meaning to the term "popular vote."

I am getting very excited about my first trip to Manila. July 11th to 21st. Thanks to all of you for the advice.

I am still actually confused of a few things. I know I will be staying in Makati at least a few days as far as hotels. I am also thinking of hitting AC for I am hearing a wilder time with prettier girls.

I have met many many woman on DIA but I can not handle all the responses so I narrowed it down to about 25 girls. I have my top 3 that I will be seeing for sure. 1 day and night for each of them. So I will have 7 nights of pretty much freedom.

Still not sure of what to do. I would like to get together with a couple of you guys to hang out and learn the ropes a little.

I know I will be doing some sightseeing, either alone or with a hottie.

I've exchanged a few messages with some of my honey friends from LA, and they're not as alarmed by the closing as one would imagine. They seem to believe that LA will re-open eventually, as it has in the past, after similar temporary crackdowns. The only problem is that no one knows how long it will be before that happens.

Anyone in the field care to comment?

Never figured out the boundaries, except Makati not being part of Manila Mayoral control ..

Each has its own jurisdiction, with a Mayor and City Hall and its own ordinances etc.

Note that Ermita and Malate etc are all part of the City of Manila which is in turn a part of Metro Manila (also known as National Capital Region or NCR)

QC is allowed lots. Thats why so many Health spas, KTV's etc there, whereas in Manila. Well we know the ongoing LAC saga.

Pasay allows the likes of EDSA Entertainment and also allows motels. Makati doesn't allow motels, which is why no Sogo or their ilk are there.

If you drive down Edsa, shortly before Wood street and the Victory Liner bus terminal theres a small white marker.

It signifies the demarcation between Makati and Pasay.,. And immediately after the marker, voila, theres the first motels on Wood Street.
