Why waste time trying to convince a disinterested girl to come with you when there are other attractive ones who do. She should be trying to convince YOU to take her. I've been using Schwab at the ATM here and notice fees seem to be 220 baht at the different ATM's I've tried. When we get the ATM rebate from Schwab will it be at the rate for each day I used the ATM or will it be at the rate of the day we get the rebate. IE.
Jan 1 220 baht fee, rate at 34.5 = 6.38.
Jan 2 220 baht fee, rate at 34.1 = 6.45.
Jan 31 I think when we get the rebate lets says rate is 33.3.
Will we get $13.21 back (rate on day of rebate).
Or 6.38+6.45 = $12.83.
Any one else penny pinchers and figured this out? Thanks!

Solution given to me was to pull a bg from Nana have her be my bodyguard. It worked. I vaguely remember recently reading somewhere about some rip-offs having reappeared.
Check out the ROD's Reports of Distinction, [B]Blue Nose[/B] reports on BJ bars. I can personally vouch, Nov 2022, for Meet the World (several FR's written), and, previous years, SOL Star of Light (though Nov 2022 closed, hopefully for renovations, though, for me, one [I]renovation[/I], LONG time ago, when they closed off the bar's curtain cutouts, was a real loss). Can be fun for some, YMMV.

If not, I slip the waitress a 20 with a "this is yours', and ask for a FRESH soda water (nothing more yuch than flat [I]anything[/I]). Keeps the senses and performance working.
Agree with the people watching, for whatever reason, Morning and Night, sitting on the rail. Catch the attention of one of the charcoal grillers, some skewers of pork, some of chicken, with at least one skewer of chilis to make things [I]tasty[/I]. Seems that the later it got, the taster they were. Also enjoy people watching on Tilac's veranda, though perhaps due to historical memory, I still prefer the grilled offerings from Nana.

Yes it was Afterskool a few times, but even better / sleazier was Fannie's right next door. In fact way more than just a BJ was on offer there and I partook many times. I was a regular at Fannie's for many years, never had very hot girls but I always had a blast as anything goes in there. The past 5 years or so (even before covid) it went way downhill, started hiring the dreaded coyotes and was just terrible. I also went a lot to fannie's sister bars Moonshine and Jungle Jim. Toy Bar is the other but was never as permissive as the other 3.
I know I've had my bin padded in some Soi Cowboy bars that I won't mention as it was awhile ago and I don't have firm proof. And yeah the girls want to order a tequila coke which is not a single drink but a shot and a side coke which they sip (or drink fast), so you get double billed. I'd allow it sometimes but tried to keep it in check. The deal was the 2 girls with me and my primary girl would give us cover for activities on the couch. I always just took it as the cost of the fun, as I know it was just part of the game. I know I didn't have to buy all the drinks, but I had fun and was a regular back then.

I liked SOL and that I think was the craziest bar there, I walked in on a lot of guys getting BJs right in the open and even one guy doing the deed with a girl right at the bar. There was a girl named rabbit who was notorious there, but damn I guess that was like 15 years ago. I have a trip next month, can anyone tell me their opinion of how Patpong is now?
As for choosing the girl, sometimes I go after the hottest girl but it rarely works out. If I'm getting a lukewarm vibe or even just some instinctual sense that she's not that interested I pass. I've made some bad choices but for me the key is to trust my instincts while we're hanging out over drinks, before the subject of BF is brought up. I don't bat 1. 000 but I do fairly good taking the ones who are having fun with me and give off a good vibe that they're interested in my company. And yeah it's rarely the hottest girl in the bar unless it's a small place.

It's fun to me to show someone new around, the feeling of awe and wonder from them makes me remember wayyyyy back when Thailand was new to me.
