When I first got to BKK, waaay pre BTS, it was taxi wild West. Like so many before me, I carried a paper map.

Yes Virginia, paper. And I studied it. And I tried to stay somewhere near a landmark, so you could just say Hua Lamphong, Nana, Wongwang Yai etc. Now you merely say XXXBTS or YYYMRT since absent a car or a bike, 90% of you will stay within a klick or two of a station.

Thai taxi drivers are paid like crap. So, as others have said, you round up. As I hate carrying change, I'm a keep the change type guy. Its a dollar.

For those of you who don't know the road system, may I suggest Google maps? So you will understand where and why your driver is going and hey, you can even help him if you see the red google lines.

For those of you who walk out of say Mixx at 2 am and start freaking out because the taxi mafia is trying to hump you for 300 B for a 50 B trip. Walk around the block. Or pull out a 100 and wave it in front of him. Do it with a smile. Impress your babe.

Most Hotel. Bank Managers are White Skin. He / she probably agrees with Receptionist.

Come on people not all is Rosy or Peaches and Cream in Thailand. It's really a country that will never advance beyond 3rd world status.

It's based on my personal observations and data. You can lookup dating website statistics and you'll find that the majority of Asian women are interested in only white men. Plenty of videos on Youtube cover dating statistics if you would like to educate yourself. The facts are in the stats, not your feelings.

I was staying at the Evergreen in the newer wing and honestly felt as though I was being disrespected whenever I brought a girl upstairs to the room. And besides taking the girls ID which is fine I was also given like a voucher to give them upon the girl departing. It was kind of like a look of disdain when this 60 year plus monger was bringing in these young tarts to bang. No need for any drama when your bringing in a girl one time, just a waste of energy. And the manager by the way was a total ball buster, an older women maybe around 50 and not very friendly, so another reason not to engage. My only regret was that the "beautiful black woman", basically a Morena if you were in a Latin Country disappeared after our romp. I picked her up on Beach Road and never saw her again as for some reason her phone number didn't work and I looked for her each day I was there.

Defintely theres a decent amount of lower income to middle class girls who dream of white guys. The only thing ID say is that's not every girl in asia. For many middle class and high society women culture and language are as important or more important than the colour of your skin and the size of your wallet. Marrying a white farang isn't everything and they know it. And this goes from east Asia and south east Asia and south asia.

I always find it funny when men try to tell girls what they should be attracted too. If Asian girls mostly are attracted to white guys over Asian or black guys they have every right. All we do on this board is rate girls all over the world. She is this or that and nobody bats an eye. As soon as girls do it, guys that aren't white get offended. It's laughable. Most white guys aren't attracted to black women. They are mostly obese and masculine. White women are 10 x more attractive than black women. Latinas are more attractive to me than white women. Am I racist against white women as a white guy. I'm attracted to what I'm attracted too. Asian women are the same way. Asian guys are generally short and most white guys are taller than them. Women like tall guys. We have better personalities than Asian guys who have the worst personalities overall than any race.

Plus uses the same dating website data to apply his assumptions to the entire world. You mean to tell me in China, the majority of Chinese women on want to date White men? But a Brazilian or Colombian guy in Japan gets the cold shoulder. I am almost quite certain most women are drawn to money, stability, and success. But I could be wrong.

When I'm checking out women, I don't ask "how white is she" like a lot of Asians do.[/QUOTE]In many (maybe even most) cultures where most of the population have brown or yellow skin, there is a lot of "status" associated with having a "lighter" skin tone. {I have purposely left folks of African descent out of this discussion because I know nothing about how they view skin color in this type of environment} Many Asian women and many Latinas go nowhere near the sun if possible. When they are outside, they carry an umbrella or wear a large hat to protect themselves from getting a suntan. They never (or rarely ever) sunbathe. Contrast this with the majority of Caucasians who seem to value a suntan.
