On dating websites it's called "baiting." There is a reason they target Western men. Thought you wound know by now. In Thailand, travel outside the tourists areas and see how receptive the Asians are to white Westerners.

ThaiFriendly, most of the girls on there put up to age 50 or higher for their match. So you are telling me because of that statistic, a 50 year old guy non Thai in Thailand must be much more desired, than guy closer to the girl's age in all of Thailand because ThaiFriendly says so. Or how about Russian and Ukrainian dating sites wanting to meet older American men for marriage. So of course, all of Russia and Russian girls must desire older American men rather than their own? No wonder Thais projected 19,000,000 tourists for 2023 down from 40,000,000 plus in 2020. This was before all the upcoming cancelations this past week. Going to a tough long road for moms and pops businesses in Thailand.

The cock button was amusing too.[/QUOTE]If you like to eat around Emquartier there's a good small Japanese restaurant named "Nagoya Champon" down the PhromPong BTS, on the right hand side if you walk towards soi 24/1.

They've got a very good soup with noodles, vegetables and sea food that I never found anywhere else.

And for the buffet near Sukhumvit, there's "Best Beef" near OnNut BTS but it's crowded.

Was considering traveling to Bangkok and noticed that the air travel time will be almost 30 hours. Is it worth it? I know that Colombia is only 7 hrs away from me, but I have heard good things about Bangkok in general. How far do you guys usually travel when visiting Bangkok?

My restaurant selection is easy: recent reviews from Thai folk, ignore the pricing complaining star reductions.

Nearly all of the drivers understand enough English to get to to where a falang wants to go ie Nana, Soi Cowboy, Patpong, Grand Palace, Siam Square, Airports, and the shopping malls. Those are not a problem. For other places you might want to show them the location on your phone. If going somewhere off the falang beaten path have your hotel write the destination on one of their business cards in Thai for the driver.

If it is your first trip definitely stay near Sukhumvit between Soi Nana and Soi 33. Stay near a BTS station and learn to use the BTS. It's easy. Lastly never take a taxi that is parked in front of the hotel. Those guys are ripoffs. Just flag down a moving taxi even if it right in front of the taxis parked at the hotel. I've never used Grab in BKK but reports here are very positive.
