Aruba also can be a good stop over. I had to do it once - American Airlines also screwed me - they made me late to flight from Miami to Cura. If you stay there for a night, check out St. Nicolas for bars with girls. I'm also checking into this option Aruba/Cura/Aruba.

...do not EVER connect through SJU!!!! There is only one flight going to CUR in the afternoon, which is at 6 pm. One delay, and you risk arriving at CUR late, when all car rental places are closed. This happened to me. Had to pay for a cab to the hotel, then from hotel to campo, from campo back to hotel, and finally next morning to the airport to get the car!!! To think of what I could have spent that money on...well, you all know on what.

I always try to connect on flight 1879 from MIA. This way I can even take a 4-hour delay and still get to CUR at a reasonable hour.

BTW, the new airport buildingis open, and is not bad at all. Major improvement over the old one.

Just back from a short stay in Curacao.

I always enjoy going to Campo just to chat with the Colombianas running about there.

Just my opinion, but if your into paying $150+ a night for a hotel room, skip Aruba. Read the Aruba board, its expensive there. Your much better off with Curacao or SXM (not SMX).

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, the warden (in sex prison) must have felt sorry for me and will pardon me for 5 days in November. I managed to get a airfare/hotel deal that made it affordable.

Went to Expedia and searched the airfare/hotel option. It gave me a $191.00 discount on the Howard Johnson Hotel in town and a $50.00 bonus for becoming a free Expedia member.

Total cost 5 days/4 nights including airfare and all taxes $896.00. PRICELESS.

Just the flight alone was going to cost me $792.50.

Arrive November 17th at 3:10 pm depart November 21st at 4:15 pm. Gives me the opportunity to get in 9 dives and 6 pieces of ass in 5 days, not bad, not bad at all.
