WATCH OUT! Shanghai Police is raiding all Saunas and BBS systematically
B2 was raided on 9. April and about 20 girls, together with some GUESTS (!), were jailed 15 days. The Mamasan was the only person who escaped the raid. But she broke open the safety deposit boxes of all the girls, took all the money and belongings from them and was gone! All the girls are either mad or sad, and are all looking for her.
There is no hope that B2 will reopen. All the girls are looking for new jobs now. Since the second time it will be ONE YEAR Jail, many do not want to do the same job any more. I had a dinner last night with some of the girls after they were released from the jail. One of the girls (my favorite girl) has agreed to stay with me as my housekeeper in exchange for a room in my apartment.
During the 15 days jail, she said that every day, there were new girls jailed. So she assumed the police is raiding one or two Saunas EVERY DAY.
According to the girls at a "serious" massage shop at Pu-Diang Rd (Pudong), almost all shops with sex service on the streets were raided and closed in the past 3 weeks. Even though their shop is "serious", many customers are afraid to come so their business is bad now.
So be careful!
Raiding B2 Achieves Several Objectives at Once.

So be careful!
Several Objectives Could Be Achieved At Once
1. Enforcement authorities can demonstrate to their higher-ups that they are taking decisive action. They can point to B2's closure, with associated arrests, fines, and jail time as proof positive. This action is aligned with the Central Government's China-wide crackdown around the [CodeWord908] issue. (Coincidentally, April 9, the day of the raid, was the day before Good Friday, and Easter Weekend.)
2. Sends a signal to WGs and customers alike that real action is possible. Especially if you're in a location where authorities can walk in the front door, take three steps into the locker room, five steps to the changing area, do a right face and head to the main area. Within one minute – or less – authorities can be through the front door and knocking on massage rooms. My point: B2 was an easy target, compared to other venues where you've got to take elevators four or five floors to get to the lobby, 'run the gauntlet' through locker rooms and changing areas filled with floor attendants, and pass through a maze of confusing hallways to get to the massage rooms.
3. It cleans up this stretch of Century Avenue / Pudong Nan Lu underground subway area in advance of the 2010 World Expo where many foreigners could be walking by. Recently, there have been extensive renovations on both B1 and B2 levels of the subway concourse that cross over form Century Avenue toward and under World Plaza. Several new shops have opened, and others are being renovated and should open soon. Directly across from the B2 entrance, there's a very large area that has been recently remodeled. It stands to reason that planners would want an establishment in B2's location that's more fitting with other shops in the area. The subtext here is visibility: B2 was simply in a 'too visible' location. That's also true for many of the 'serious' street massage places. Think: out of sight…out of mind as a better way to go.
4. It drives more business into Sacrosa, which is nearby, and 'out of sight…out of mind'. Since business is somewhat slow, closing B2 simply drives more revenue into Sacrosa. Again, when times are slow, and Sacrosa has a RMB 550 deal before 7:00 pm, do you really need two saunas within one block of each other? And, again, out of sight, out of mind. The average 2010 Expo tourist will not stumble upon Sacrosa.

Holiday Inn Pudong - 899 Dongfang Road
Can anyone give some idea what the sauna in this hotel is like? How is the massage and any extras offered?
Not asking about what's around the area - I know there's lots, but what about in the hotel itself?
Thanks!
(sorry for cross post from East Shanghai Hotels forum, nobody there seems to have any feedback)
Directions to Zhongtan Sanna Club?
I could not find any post by search about this place. Could you please provide some directions?
Now that b2 is closed I need a new venue and I also plan on finding and trying JJ's.
