Maybe I used the service and didn't know it. Twice I pre-booked the taxi on line at the same time as my hotel reservation for the guy with the little sign and my name on it. One was a white taxi but the other was not. One went smooth, the other did not, took us over thirty minutes to find each other but ended up fine. I can't remember which was which. Climate and weather data for almost any place on the planet is readily available and easily accessible. If you're going to be spending a lot of time in one place, you should first figure out if you're compatible with the climate. Why spend your time in a place where you're miserable. Even if you're visiting for a few days, you should find out so you can bring the appropriate clothes.

The other type of complaining which won't be accepted is blame shifting. For example, whining about staying in a cheap place that didn't have air conditioning. If you wanted something but didn't choose a place which met your requirements, complain to the person who booked the room. Likewise, if you couldn't figure out how to find girls, it's not Medellin's fault.

Here are some examples of reasonable criticism:

1. The food is bland. Depending on where you're from this is true.

2. The service in restaurants is terrible. This isn't true, but most North Americans are expecting a different type of service. In most restaurants a waiter will only approach your table to bring a menu or to bring your food. If you want to order, if you want another beer, if you want some salt, or you want your check, you need to flag down your waiter.

3. The girls showed up late Yep. That's part of the culture. Read the forum for ways to overcome this issue.

Here are examples of complaints which won't be accepted:

1. The days are too short. The days are practically the same length year round. Making them longer isn't an option.

2. All the women are fat, and ugly. Finding beautiful women in Medellin is about as easy as finding water in the ocean. Either you have unreasonable expectations, or you're blind.

3. It's too expensive. I can't think of a response to that one.

Also, in general it is considered poor writing to use any acronym without listing the meaning the first time it is used. But I accept guys here like using them for the sense of camaraderie and the "boys club" feeling it implies, so I have never mentioned it until now.

There is a huge assumption built into the standard that all mongers prefer bareback sex.
