Here in the States and in other places where I have traveled, once I checked in and paid for my room, I could enter my room with whomever I wanted. Marriott Renaissance Jaragua, Melia Hotel and the Intercontinental V Centanario in the Gazcue section of Santo Domingo are not guest friendly. Less than 10 minutes from the Marriott Jaragua is the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, supposedly the Marriott Courtyard is guest friendly. The three big hotels in Gazcue are operating under a business model that most large hotels in the world don't adhere to.

Smoke and Mirrors. Two large hotels in Gazcue (Marriott Jaragua and Hotel Melia) have onsite pro chicas waiting for clients, these two hotels are not called brothels. 20 small hotels in Santo Domingo that Do Not have pro chicas on site waiting for clients, somehow get called brothels.

As I said before, its going to get a hell of a lot worse the more dollars get put into Gazue to clean up that area around the political stations and developers invest. Casinos and bars attached to Casinos are allowed to stay open, after all the other bars are forced to close for the night. Gazcue has three casinos that serve alcohol till about 6am.

Lots of alcohol being served in the casinos in Gazcue (casino owners want Dominicans to get drunk and lose all their money, odds Always favor the casino). I have seen Dominican males fight and yell while they were playing poker in the Hotel Melia casino. According to your way of thinking, drunk, pissed off Domincans, who just lost all of their money in a casino in Gazcue, would never cause a nuisance after exiting the casinos in Gazcue.

I have been with foreign mongers in Santo Domingo who Do Not drink alcohol, these guys are well off, well paid professionals. They visit a casa, pick out a chica and go to their hotel. From your posts you seem to imply all drunk and disrespectful behavior is only from foreign mongers.

Why aren't you going after the casinos? Tell the casinos to stop trying to get people drunk. Have the casinos close at midnight. Casinos are the ultimate cash cow for government officials, and appears to me, you and your other anti-prostitution friends will not try to shut down the biggest source of alcohol consumption in Gazcue (the casinos).

I have been in casas in Gazcue many times, where I was the only guy in the place. I have never seen any of the casas in Gazcue crowded with drunk mongers. The casas on Pasteur close at curfew time, around midnight. A monger who is spending around $70 to $100 for a chica, is generally not going to waste his time acting like a fool on the streets of Gazcue.

If a person wants absolute peace and quiet, that is why people move to the the campo. what does gazcue have to offer a "normal" tourist? horrible traffic on avenida independencia and on the malecon during rush (which lasts for 5 hours or more). many trucks and other motor vehicles spewing thick, black, cancer causing smoke. shitty manolos restaurant (as per knowledge and another isg member who lives in santo domingo). beat up, piece of shit gua guas, whose drivers don't give a shit about any other drivers while operating on avenida independencia in gazcue. huge holes in the sidewalks on avenida independencia. no beach. coppa is about the only bar in gazcue that a "normal" tourist might be interested in visiting and coppa is 50% pros. if i am a normal tourist why in the world would i go to gazcue for a vacation? (with young children, never)

for a normal tourist who wants to buy lots of prescription medicine, there are a ton of pharmacies in gazcue.

the casas that were recently shut down in gazcue are mostly if not entirely owned by foreigners. foreign owned property was the subject of a selective prosecution recently. if you want to sell the illusion that property rights are fully protected in dr, then i believe you are only looking out for yourself (you have posted many times that you are involved in real estate development in dr) , behooves you to tow the party line and convince people that their investment is safe in dr. i will never buy property in dr and i would advise anyone i know, to never buy property in dr.

i enjoy watching house hunters international on television. i watched one episode the other day of an amercian guy married to a latina from el salvador or nicaragua. the american husband owned a restaurant near some colonial zone and they looked at various homes near that busy colonial zone in nicaragua or el salvador. what struck me was that none of the windows had metal bars and inside two of the homes, were open courtyards, that were not covered with metal bars or metal security gates. i thought to myself, such a layout would never exist in dr, where just about any opening where a robber could enter a house, has metal bars or metal gates.

You come with a hard on and normal tourist come with a wife and two kids. You pay 1500 untaxed DOP to a Puta. They pay 6000 taxed DOP for a BS tour around the old city.
