Phnom Penh

I was in PP just after Christmas and had a great time there.

Day 1.

Arrived late from SR and headed for dinner straight after checking in. Post dinner took a stroll on 104 and entered Top Ten bar. Limited number of girls but a real cutie from Vietnam. Not in a mood to barfine so early, so after a drink headed out to check out scene at other bars.

Entered AirForce as it gets some good reviews on ISG. I will say it was the most dull / boring bar I visited during my entire visit in Cambodia. No girl above 6 and too much pestering for ST. Maybe I went at the wrong time. So another drink and on to the next bar.

Rose Bar. Now this one had a huge collection of girls and a pool table. Ordered my beer and was scanning through when I spotted this dark toned Cambodian girl. Slim, decent height and very cute. I offered to buy her a drink and play some pool with her. While playing pool she introduced me to her twin sister. Anyone have the fantasy of 3some with twins? I did not and so concentrated on my pick. After 3 games of pool I asked her about Barfine. She was not keen on LT and I was not keen on ST. In the end I gave up and took her back to my room for ST. 25$. She was very lively throughout the session with full cooperation and a NO only to anal. She left after an hour and it was time to call it a night!

Visited the National Museum and Grand Palace in the daytime, had evening snacks at Night Market and on to Sharkys. Now this is a cool bar just to enjoy your drink, play pool and listen to some live music. There were a good number of ladies by 9PM but none of them spectacular enough to think about returning for them. The live band had a young English men and twin Cambodian sisters. They played a good mixture of English-Khmer songs and were joined by some guest artists in between. Today I wanted to check out street 51, so left Sharkys around 10 and walked towards 51.

Was not sure of which place to go, so randomly entered Milk Bar. There was only 1 customer before me and around 10 gals, so I got a lot of attention. A girl who I would rate 8 came in and wanted a drink. I did not want to hand it to her so easily, so asked her to beat me at connect 4 and earn a drink. She lost 8 games in a row and switched the game to pool. There she lost 4. Now other girls liked the challenge and came in 1 by 1; total 5 girls. Game of pool and connect 4. I didn't loose a single one. Now I am pretty average at both these games and girls at Hilary in Bangkok beats me 3 out of 5 times. These girls need some practice. I eventually bought the first lady a drink and she was pretty happy with it. Did I tell you each time the girl looses she would be either kissing me or some ass grinding on my lap.

Next was Heart of Darkness. Very mixed crowd from backpackers to old farangs with their ladies. I came out without a drink and straight to 136.

69. Tell me again, why is this bar famous? Because girls dance on the tables? I found it boring and left after a drink as none of the available girls were appealing.

Lemon Bar. Good vibe around the bar, friendly ladies and 1+1 beer. Sir Lancelot, I met Elena and played pool with her but she was not bar fining that day. Same deal. Win a game of pool and get a drink. Elena and her partner won against me and a mate and earned their drinks. We were about to buy a drink for them anyways. Had some good fun with the ladies there but did not barfine anyone.

Now it was almost 2AM and I knew I need to act fast if want to bed a girl. So on to street 104 and Matilda. It was dark and dull at 2AM and 4/5 girls in zombie state. I thought of trying my luck with the Vietnamese lady at Top Ten and bingo, she was getting ready to leave as I entered. I said Barfine LT and she said yes. 80$. I was like WTF and quoted 30. I took her for 10$ barfine and 40$ for her for staying till 7AM.

Quick shower and first session which again included everything except anal. We slept at 3:30 and she woke me up at 4:30 for another session. I thought this would be the last but we had another one before she left at 7. Overall a well 50$ spent on her.

Got up at 11 and post breakfast got into a tuk tuk for trip to Killing Fields and Toul Sleng genocide museum. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Cambodia to go to these 2 places. It along with Angkor what gives a good info on the history of Cambodia and Khmer Rouge. The self guided audio tour of Killing fields is very well done and very informative. I spent a good amount of time at both these places and came back around 6PM. Took some rest and went to the night market to have some street food. Street food is another attraction for me in any of the SEA countries.

I wanted to take it light today as had a morning bus to Sihanoukville and also wanted to catch on some EPL games. So went to a sports bar where saw some games along with a few Brits and thoroughly enjoyed their banter. I had so much fun at the hostess bar that I could not resist going their again and see if I get a cutie for ST. So off to 104 and I don't know the name of the place I went. It had 2 pool tables upstairs and I went up along with some 7-8 girls. Isn't it fun to get so much attention and then beat them at a game of pool. I played pool with all of them, bought all of them drinks as it was my last night in PP and I had thoroughly enjoyed it (I lost only 1 game BTW).1 big room upstairs, you and 8 girls with lady drinks. Rest is upto your imagination.

I also passed Cyrcee on the second day but did not venture in. Also briefly stopped by Walkabout and Shanghai. Walkabout was overcrowded and Shanghai was empty.

Overall I found that PP girls are more friendly than their Thai counterparts, are less pushy for LDs and can be easily beaten in a game of pool or connect 4.

I won't play their game! There are plenty more fish in the sea. I have found that with only a little bit of effort you can usually get them down to $20 plus the $10 bar fine. The most I have paid was $30. Once you start to walk away, especially if you have already bought them an LD, they usually come back and that's your cue to negotiate the price down to a realistic level.

I think that once a few guys start paying more, it just sets the bar higher for the norm. I can't think of any girl that I would pay $50 for, let alone $80!

seriously, those places are well known for that exact thing. there used to be lots of reports about it up here, but then it got to be so well known that no one went to those places any more. i guess you missed that part of recent history. looks like you are up to speed now though.

Just got back a couple weeks ago from a nice 8 night trip in pp.

First report to post, although I've done probably 20 trips in various country's over the past 8 years, I am new to this board.

Memory is abit blurred, but I arrived on the 30th late at night on Cambodian Angkor air, which I got a deal on from sky scanner from BKK, a couple of dollars cheaper than air Asia and much better airline. Went out to a local rest with a internet girl, nothing much eventuated so had a early first night.

New Year's Eve was next, I went to a early dinner with next internet date who picked me up on her moto (this is one big advantage in Cambodia over Phil, even tho it's a poor countries most girls will have a moto and smartphone) After dinner I suggest we go back for some whiskey in the hotel (flamingos $25 a night, good budget hotel in 51 street, however I will try riverside next time as very little day time activities in 51) I tell her I am meeting a friend for countdown so they she doesn't think she is clinging on the whole night. After few drinks seal the deal, she was a nice girl prob 22 or so, had some experience with foreigners had a good couple of rounds while drinking and preparing myself for countdown.

Parted ways with no money exchanged, I filter them out before meeting to find the nice ones from internet / apps. Then off to, pontoon around 1030pm. I was meant to meet up with another date for countdown who I had met on a previous trip but only for dinner date, I saw New Years as a opportunity to seal the deal. She was late, and I slowly got drunker until midnight and grabbed some random to pash for countdown. Memory gets a little blurry from here, but I met up with a Malaysian girl who is holidaying in pp later that night, and went with her to heart of darkness. Apparently I was acting foolishly and she went home around 3am, I guess I stayed in heart for a hr or so more, not sure how I got back but I woke up alone luckily still with my phone and wallet. I did wake up to abusive txt from the dinner date since she saw me with the Malaysian girl just hrs after banging her.

New Year's Day, after texting Malaysian apologising for being drunk we decide to meet, went in the hotel eventually get the job done with her, then go to chuck Norris dim sum in 51 street for dinner which I recommend, opens only in the evening just in golden Sorya mall.

I had visited various bars around 51 street, all disappointing. Walkabout is hit and miss, I often called by in afternoon when bored for a beer but wasn't a lot to tempt me. Still was the most happening for the area, drinks are reasonable, until you order a mixer with your spirit and have to buy a bottle of it. Worth a look but it's no la cafe. Shanghai bar had plenty of cuties but didn't inquire about taking them home. Rest of the bars around there including Sorya beer garden I wasn't impressed during day or night.

Next day lunch at Sorya shopping mall, which is a real mall unlike golden Sorya which is a dew bars and shops. They have a food court which is well priced, and some Asian food and fruit shakes are decent. I also ate at the BBQ chicken place which is good and the pizza place which I found disappointing and expensive. Lunch date had a friend with her so I didn't bother inviting back to hotel. Relax for rest of day and meet up with dinner date, and went to dine in the dark, which was great. Eating in complete darkness and not knowing what will be served is the fun part. Blind waiters take you to your table and serve you. Date was hot, dressed up and with a iPhone 5. Spoke good English and had full time job so thought this will be the one to take there. After dinner went back to room for drinks, she wasn't so happy now, wanted to party but I wanted a quiet one. She stayed for awhile and after I made a few advances said she had period and needs to go. In later txts I was trying to get to the bottom of things and invited her around again as she had shown interest in further messages. She then said she isn't looking for relationship and I said that's fine, she then asked how much will I give her. This took me by surprised as generally I can read people well but did not expect that from her as she seemed well educated, perhaps she wanted me to get her drunk and myself the first night then can expect me to help her, however when I wanted a quiet one reliased I won't be paying? Ended conversation after that comment.

Decided to head down to riverside and check out the host bars, they were much more lively than 51. Most bars are the same, drinks are $3-4 for a jack, $1-2 for beers and $3 for girls. I went to all the hot spots. 104, 110 etc. They are much of a much ness and depend on your luck of the night. I found the girls to be very friendly, waitress never push for tip, and after buying a lady drink they were very appreciative. Even if you didn't buy one they would sit with you until you finish yours and leave. There was no standout bar for me, I like to have one drink and move on to check them all out. Riverside was fun, and I'll stay there next time rather than 51. 51 is only good for discos and walkabout, bars are rubbish.

After a few drinks then I hit the clubs, darling darling was first, alots if guys, little girls. Didn't see any noticeable p4p even regulars for few and far between. Ran into Chinese Malaysian girl, but she was with Chinese Malay friends including ex bf, so she disappeared fairly quickly. Headed to river house but was quiet, something about police had come and I should come back tomorrow. Didn't make it but river house is normally a nice choice for semi tame disco. Off to Icon I think the name is, where Malaysian had told me many older rich Cambodians go looking for a toy boy so I wanted to check this out. Mainly foreigners there, boys and girls and a few Cambodian Middle class girls nothing special so had a drink and went to Santa fa or saint tropes. It's just near 51 but again abit quiet only a couple of groups, but looked like it might be fun earlier on a weekend night. Hit

Pontoon etc and ended up at a after hrs bar in golden Sorya. Open till 8am just near the pontoon side, forget the name. Lots of ladyboys and few left over girls and drunks. I picked up one of the left overs and headed back to flamingo around 6am. She was nice and good in bed at the time, but things went bad as payment came up. She was asking me to help her family for $70 I explained nicely that's not my problem and gave her the required $20. She wouldn't accept and wouldn't leave claiming I told her $70 last night, which of course no matter how drunk I am wouldn't. 70 is a funny figure anyway. In the end she wouldn't leave had to get security eventually convinced her to go. I think 20 is more than fair for a 6am pickup, besides she was no oil painting.

Next day was bored hit walkabout again, I did speak to, well, write to a deaf and dumb chick, perhaps the same one people have spoken about here with messed up tits, although I didn't see it. Was tempted but after hearing she was bad news here passed. Met a nice blondie with big fake tits, this will do I thought. Asked her how much, thinking don't want a repeat of yesterday. She said you been here many times, you know just pay same as other girls. Gave her $20 after couple of afternoon rounds, she was happy and gave me her number. Nice girl, much better than my previously experience.

Dinner date with internet girl, went to river and then back to room for more drinks before I have to go meet Chinese Malay, dinner date was great, great English, had western bf before so open to BBBJ etc. Easy to get rid of since she knew I was going out later. Met up with her a couple of times later for a rerun. Then off to pontoon with Malay, she already had a bucket of beers so knew wanted a big one, got drunk with her then she took me so some local after club, forget the name, maybe Vegas was one and there was another, mainly drug and upper class. No spirits only beers at $15 each. Wasn't for me so after one headed back to 51, she wanted to party but I was ready for bed got into some argument and told her I banged a girl last night for $20 which she was furious, and stormed off home. Get a call 30 min later saying she is coming over to drop off my flip flops. She had borrowed the other night since didn't want to get tuktuk in high heels. Once in rooms had make up sex and all was good again.

On Tuk Tuk and motos. I rarely got a Tuk for $1 anywhere, was 6000 or $2. Moto never under $1 either, but never over. Think I paid 6000 going from river to darling. From airport paid $6 Tuk Tuk and going back $6 also.

Second last night I headed to cyreee, the first two that latched onto me were average but couldn't be bothered looking around, wanted to try the two girls thing they specialised in. Bar fine they reckon was $7 or 10 each. Might have been $7 plus $3 compulsory lady drink, and they wanted $25 each. I said my friend told me two is $20 each but they wouldn't budge. Room was $5 or whatever it normally is. Performances was ok, they did everything as asked. Maybe I was shy and didn't demand enough but it didn't seem as special as others report. They interacted a little but no porn star experience. I'd go there again, just once a trip is enough for the hell of it.

Last day I spent with a rerun from my last trip, I had took her viriginity a few months ago and stayed in touch on FB, just as quiet night as I was off to Philippines next day. Annoyingly Malaysian rocked up uninvited and had to sell front desk I was busy when she called the room. I later found out she got her phone stolen and was coming to let me know she can't reply to my txts, so I felt like abit of a prick.

I'm planning first visit to Phnom Penh starting mid February. Anyone recommend 2-3 star GF hotels ($20-$30) quiet but near action in PP?

Circuit-Nana (st 154) , California 2 (riverside) sound ok from reports and website.

Also any recommendations on sim card for Cambodia and where to buy?

I use beeline and you have to ask them to activate <the promotion for the 3 cent per minute deal for international calls.

Inside cambo it is just pennies for calls.

Thanks in advance.[/QUOTE]When you arrive at airport in PP, after you exit terminal, there are several kiosks that sell prepaid data / voice plan, total cost for sim card and minutes a whopping $10. I think the better providers are Beeline and Hello Card, YMMV.

I think Beeline is what I've used in the past and would use again when in town next month. It's $ 2 a week and works fine in my iPhone 5. Even in boondock places like Kep, I can find a telecom office willing to charge it for me.

Nana- Circuit is at Street 51 and I have stayed there. It is not a bad hotel and was going through renovations at that time. I chose it as it has a elevator and I needed it as I had hurt my knees just prior to my vacation and it was difficult to use the stairs. I also saw a few more hotels on Street 51 that had bigger and better rooms but no elevator. Circuit will provide a safe and also a free breakfast. They also have a computer to use in the lobby. If you stay a week or longer, ask the manager for a discount. Also they check with you when the girl leaves. You should decide where your main mongering is going to be and decide accordingly.

Did you have any problem with noise interfering with sleep there?

Any advice on which mongering areas are preferable and why?
