I've been reading complaints like this about pricing since the internet came into existence. And my response is still the same: my money, my fun.
Sorry guys who can't afford it but if I see what I want, Ill just pay the price. I find negotiation over $30 distasteful.
How a girl from Isaan merits the price: he wanted her. Nuff said.
I agree Mate. If I see a girl I like I pay her usually what she wants. If it is not outrageous.
Good on you Mate.
You are just a bloke out having a good time and trying not to hurt anyone too much. Only thing I have learned is not to tell the punters on this site too much.
Ask a lot of questions but don't ever give advice ok.
As someone that hasn't been to Thailand, how hard is it when sober to not be able to tell it's a ladyboy. And lets not play the picture game "Ladyboy or Not? Reality isn't a photo.

Always ask and sometimes even do a Paul Hogan and have a feel.
Fortunately most of the time you are right and the girls will tell you. I have been many times to Thailand and I always ask every new girl.
The only time I have ever ended up with a lady boy is in Australia.
The comments I get from many locals and tourists seem to all note that there is significant ladyboy presence on Soi 11 recently. Speculation is that there is some thing that has triggered this notable upsurge. One comment came from a local that noted that there has been also a noticeable number of gay men of Caucasian extraction at some bars. The observation was made that the new Jamaican restaurant and bar across from the Citadines 11 hotel appeared to be a gathering place for the gay crowd. The ladyboy parade infront of the bar is noted by its patrons.
On another note, the new restaurant / bar next to the Citadines, Moon Muum, is an open air venue with live music until 3 am Since it is not in an enclosed building, the techno music goes straight to all the near by hotels. Guests at the Citadines 11 and Mecure hotels bear the brunt of the noise and openly complain t0 the management who claims that they cannot do nothing to end this disturbance.
So anyone looking at any hotel for a quiet stay, had better stay away form Soi 11. Between the 6 BMD beer bars at the beginning of the soi, the cannabis vendors, the bad traffic and the flood of lady boys, I believe I will take hard pass on returning to Soi 11.
Don't believe that guy ElMexicant. He tells everyone he's Mexican. He's far from it.
Where? My guess. Fiwfans. It's great, but it requires spending a lot of time researching. Can't just go by the looks on the site. Have to read the reviews and join telegram groups where the local dudes post their reviews and pics. Yes, it's all in Thai and you have to translate. Most tourists are not going to take the time and spend the hours it takes to become acquainted with each individual "camp," their particulars, and then read multiple reviews of everyone they are interested in, taking into account that locals are very cryptic with negative comments as they do not want to get blacklisted by agents.Tourists don't come here to sit in their hotel room and spend hours on their computer or phone doing this type of research. It's far more suited to locals and even then one has to be very patient.
And BTW, El Mexicant is a trip. Great guy. And by the moniker can't you tell he's not Mexican? The dude totally gets the scene here and in Patters.
Great report.
I am looking forward to meet some Insta models in my summer trip to BKK.
Just arrived yesterday (Monday Feb 6), pretty tired but wanted to do some exploring just to see what's up. Things ended up being insane.
Full disclosure. My tastes trend towards the expensive, and I was / am hosting a guest.
Visited Billboard at 11 PM with a friend. Place was packed, no sofas infilled, no tables available. Only bar stools. Lots of girls, fairly decently looking, bought lady drinks for two of them and some others. They wanted us to take back, but we had something else on itinerary, so passed. Total damage, about 2 k baht for four drinks, four lady drinks, and some tips. Reasonable.
Next, went to The Pimp at roughly midnight. Was slightly disappointed because the mamasan was only able to bring out 20 girls. She was a bit apologetic, advised that Mondays were slow and we were kinda late (which was fair). Advised that if we came Wednesday at around 10, she would have 150 girls available. Even so, the average quality was very high, much higher than anywhere else I visited, and I'm picky (Chinese American, very Asian standards). Was able to find a super hot one and an attractive one. Both very slim, early / mid 20's, very good English. Bought a good bottle, played drinking games for almost 2. 5 hours before leaving at 2 AM. I let my friend have the super hot one, and while she initially said she wouldn't go to the hotel (because she had to get up early for her job in finance), she later told my friend that she'the be willing to see him privately. Mine told me she'the be willing to go, but I passed. Girls had wonderful attitudes, and it didn't feel sleazy at all. Plan to go again for a VIP room. Will report back. Was tremendous fun but not for budget sexpats or cheap Charlie's. Total damage was around 16 k baht. 5 k for the bottle (mixers were free), 8 k in sitting fees for the two girls (they only charged us 2 hrs - 3000 for first HR, 1000 for second, which is standard, even though it was more like 2. 5 hrs), 1 k for food, and 2 k for the mamasan.
After I got back to the JW, I was still kinda sore from the flight so wanted a masseuse. Since no one else was up (3 AM), I ordered one from a Chinese Telegram group who said he would send me a mainland Chinese girl. I kinda looked forward to a relaxing massage with happy ending and some good conversation in Chinese. Instead, what I got was a Thai ladyboy who insisted she was Korean, refused to leave when asked, and demanded 80 k (baht while screaming at me. Was genuinely a bit scared. Eventually had to ask security to take her away, and they were as bemused / shocked as I was. Got different keycards from them, tipped the two security guys 1 k baht each because they probably saved me from a heart attack. Now I'm trying to unwind from this crazy end to what was a pleasant evening.
Key takeaways: Nana is doing well, The Pimp is awesome fun if you have a decent wallet and want something that feels classier, and stay the fuck away from telegram.

Recently completed another trip, mid Jan. Early Feb. 7 days in BKK, 8 in Phuket, 4 in Pattaya, 5 in BKK. Too lazy to write separate reports in each thread so I'll just do it here.
BKK: Everything's pretty much back in full swing compared to last year when they first opened with the whole SHA+ thing. Both Nana and Cowboys are as busy as ever. Only barfined once from Bacarra on recommendation but it was a great time. Doki Doki and Kokoro appear to be very busy, highly recommend making reservations, although a bit of a crapshoot given the rotation of girls and general lack of info. Soapy massages are up and running but I didn't partake. Sidelines is even better than last year. Did not get rejected at all for being a foreigner this year compared to about a 3/4 success rate last year. Strong correlation between price and looks, service was good for all girls with a few stand outs. Visited 9 girls ranging from 1 to 5 k base price range, ended up seeing 3 girls multiple times. I found that girls that operated under agencies generally had more photoshopped pictures. Many agencies and independents will send more pictures and location info automatically when you add them on Line, so no harm in doing that if you just want some more info to help with the filtering process.
Phuket: First time. Beautiful place but I wish I had visited when the sandbox first opened and the place wasn't packed with people. Bangla Road was a blast but the prices in gogos were the highest out of any destinations this trip, and I did not barfine as I imported a girl from Bangkok. FWIW I didn't see many stunners anyways. Also did not seek out massages or other FLs. Booked day trips but those were pretty mediocre, will just plan and hire my own long boat next time around.
Pattaya: Same as BKK. Walking Street busy as ever and Beach Road is lined with FLs. I did notice that some gogos did not survive and heard many changed owners. Also noticed that in general the quality of the girls have decreased although still many stunners. Soapy massages are open (Honey 2 and Sabai Dee anyways). Ended up taking 3 FLs priced between 1500 and 2500ST, and one girl for 4500 LT. 1 each from WeChat, Beach Road, and Tantan. All were average. The rest were barfines from gogos, 1 each from Pin-up and Xs (same operation I believe) and 2 from Bacarra. Gogo girls ended up being between 6-9 k for LT including barfine. All were excellent as I worked off of past contacts.
Hotels: Stayed at JW and Sheraton in BKK. First time at the JW, right next to Nana but further from a BTS station. Room, lounge, pool, and service are all pretty good. Sheraton is right next to Asok and Cowboy. Rooms are more old school compared to JW, but still well maintained. No lounge but there are a couple of decent restaurants and bars in building. Pool is ok, service is excellent. No issues with girls at either location. I'm Plat with Marriott, didn't get upgraded at JW, got upgraded to the basic suite at Sheraton, which I was surprised by as it is high season. You may get prioritized if you're a repeat stay as I got a welcome letter specifically mentioning that. No issues with bringing a girl back or having them sent up to my room at either location.
Stayed at Four Points in Phuket, a bit far from Bangla and a bit pricey for what it offers. Rooms are on the small side and they seemed understaffed. I do believe it is girl friendly given past reports from seniors but there were a lot of families when I was present, and you have to bring your date through an open check in area where all of the traffic flows through unless you've got a pool or sea view room in a side building. Did not get upgraded.
Stayed at Hilton in Pattaya. No upgrade this year but the basic room is still excellent for its size and view, although very pricey. No issues with girls, they do check their ID downstairs at the luggage desk.
Apps: Highlight of this trip for me was amateur FLs from Tinder and Insta. It took a lot of effort but produced the best girls of this trip both in terms of looks and service. I had built up contacts from past trips which I was able to capitalize on this time around as many of these girls are back in BKK. Took a while to get the ball rolling but once I was in, these girls talk with each other and they took care of the search for me. All were university students or young professionals with instas with thousands to tens of thousands of followers, and all were exclleent. Took the best girl with me to Phuket and had full GFE for the whole trip, ended up giving her 1 k USD for the 8 days. I didn't negotiate price with any of the other girls but gave 10 k to each for overnights, which all extended into late next days and requests to meet again from all of them. Expensive by BKK standards but I prefer quality over quantity myself. Back in the states for a couple of days now and still getting DMs from girls wanting to meet.
I used WeChat much less this trip. Mostly saw LBs, and from the girls I did talk to, ended up seeing 3. 1 was a gem, 1 was average, and 1 was a dud that I kicked out after 10 minutes. Tantan had a lot higher ratio of FLs to regular girls than Tinder, but most of these seem to be targeting Chinese / Korean / Japanese. I'm Asian American so I got by. Prices for girls off of Tantan were often higher than FLs, in the range of 2000-3500ST and up to 15000 LT. I pulled 2 STs, 1 average and 1 dud, after which I didn't bother. TF ended up more or less being a bust, the quality of girls was way lower than any other app, and the few stunners I did see were unresponsive.
Other observations: Did not get BBFS from many gogo girls but otherwise had a lot of success this year. From talking with the girls it sounds like Thai guys don't like to give oral, and it seems like that combined with the clean tests I brought with me did the trick. Got BBFS with a few girls from fiwfans and all the amateur FLs. Everywhere (except Rawai) was packed with tourists, although not as many East Asians when compared to previous years, and definitely not as many Chinese, although I suspect that will change given the timing and circumstances. Prices are up across the board for everything, from girls, barfines, drinks to hotel, food and Grab. Seems to be a combination of both inflation and rise in demand. No issues with an eSIM on arrival at BKK for those of you with one of the newer phones without a physical SIM. ATMs are still trash with the DCC trap, and it seems like all the Thai banks have added mandatory fees for not using DCC. The Superrich cash exchange outside of Terminal 21 has massive fucking lines every single day, I'd highly highly recommend going to another location. Many of the high end restaurants are booked out by several weeks online, but I was able to get reservations by calling in almost all of the time.
Apologies for the lack of pics, I know those are important when discussing price but I don't have any candids given their position.

Honestly bro, I have no defense. You hit it on the head. She absolutely didn't merit that price by industry standards. Just as you said, I was so annoyed by the ladyboy debacle from the previous night, I was kind of in "fuck it" mode. I didn't really care what the price was, I finally saw someone I wanted to fuck, so I fucked her. It was kind of a rebound situation. Normally, yeah, that price would be a no go unless it was a true all nighter. So profuse apologies! But, I don't think I (by myself) impact the market that much. Since I'm Asian American, at most they'll just chalk it up to one more Chinese idiot with more money than sense! Whats that old saying? 3 inches, 3000 baht, 3 minutes hehehe.
I'll have an Emmanuel + second Pimp report later. I just staggered back after my group of six knocked out three bottles of Johnny Walker gold label at The Pimp, and I really need to crash. The amount of typos I had to fix in this very short post was astonishing. Cheers all.
I hear you, man. You are a model for getting back out and getting back on track. (You can see other reports around where guys really have a hard time recovering from bad experiences with LBs, bait and switch, swindlers and the like. Best thing is just get straight back to it.) Had to do the same thing recently myself in Philippines after LB debacle. Went straight back out the next night and all was forgotten with a lovely lady back in the room to help me get him / her out of my heart.
Saw your other report about the Pimp. You tanked up on Johnny Walker and 4 girls at your table, but did you take either of your girls back to hotel? Sounds like they were the real stunners.
Thanks for the reports dude.

Like you, I am getting accustomed to the responses from fellow gents (many who are almost as grumpy as me) suggesting that there is something "normal" about the price situation in SE Asia now. And my response is still the same: my report, my admonition.
I am not sure if you have noticed, Nyezhov, but there is a correlation between rising prices, lowering service, negative girl / mama attitudes, and withering fun. We just saw one report about one Nana place that would not even let the dude look through the curtain without first buying a drink. F*cking BS!
And LT now limited to 4 hours! Last month in Nana, one mamasan told me LT had to be back by 2 am, and it was already f*cking 10:30! I exercised my power of self-determination and walked, not because I cannot afford it but because the freaking audacious attitudes are defeating the whole purpose.
If we want to talk about distasteful, then I think we would need to confess on a different moral level that the whole thing could be viewed as distasteful. (I am not suggesting we do. I am fully a part of this and enjoying it after decades of being bashed around by f*eminists and chastised for having a horny libido.).
The word "distasteful" has been appearing in my mind through my mongering trips over the past year as try to find examples of price rises in Thai / Phil / Camb supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, salaries or anything that could come close to the prices on demand at Cowboy, Nana, Walking Streets (Pattaya / AC) LK Metro, Streets 130/136 (PP). And all the swindling, deception, and abusive shit being thrown at customers in these places now is plenty distasteful to me. (F*ck don't even get me started on the Pattaya gogo bars. Guaranteed to tempt you with tons of eye candy that you can spend shitloads of money on for LDs but won't go home with you.).
And you do not regard Zhangsan's LB who demanded 80 k to be just a little bit distasteful?
It is your money, Zhangsan's money, and my money, and we can all do whatever we want with it. But there are obviously plenty of dudes on this site who recognize that a good thing is starting to slip away in front of our very eyes. $30 difference (7000 baht) on 6000 baht is almost 15%. And 6000 baht is already pushed up from 5000 in the very recent past (I speak of my August 2022 trip), and that was freaking ridiculous.
I know you are right (and I have had to admit this on other SE Asian forums) that we are not going to band together to control prices. But it is not because there is no connection between how you choose to spend your money and go go inflation. There is more than an obvious connection.
I may be able to afford it too, but if I were only interested in making my own choices without giving a f*ck about where this is all going, I don't think I would waste my time on the forums. I want to have fun, but weighing up my last 2 trips there since August, I'm not sure that Thailand is much fun anymore (quality vs quantity).
I made my first Pattaya and Bangkok punts in the mid 80's, before the internet came into existence, and there is no doubt in my mind that things are really turning south. (I am not just reminiscing about the "good ole days". I have never stopped pursuing my hedonistic instincts.) Very much alive in 2023, I am making my summer plans now, and Thailand is falling lower on the list.
Maybe I'll just stay in Cali and pay $280/ HR for a hot Korean chick with exquisite service in San Jose before hiking in the redwoods or surfing the SoCal waves.

And look at what the local punters are paying online using sites like fiwfans. Way less than go-gos and less than places like Doki-Doki.Yes, places like The Pimp are mainly for local men but that's less about getting laid and more about "face," sitting with a pretty girl, and shopping for a mia noi. The majority of those girls are looking for sponsors. Places like this existed two decades ago.
In the 20 plus years I've been living in Thailand the change in demographics among punters in the Go-Go bars has been huge. When I moved here 90% of the men in the bars were western, and that is no longer the case. Western dudes and Asian dudes want different things. And the market is now catering to the Asian man as he is the majority. And why not? Not catering to your majority is nuts.
I certainly agree that as prices have gone up service has gone down. The gals will do whatever they can get away with. Overall I would say that Western men are more demanding. So you really can't blame the girls for going after the easier money. When it comes to the local online scene there are quite a few girls who only want to go with Thai men. This is normally expressed in their posting a size limit.
Anyone familiar with LEO Longevitys death in Thailand. He was a bodybuilder guy who lived with Tony Huge.
