My age and appearance are irrelevant to them. So I pay this only because I know the place, there are thousands of girls available. There are not only the professional working girls of the Casaurina who wait to find their chicken at 3 am willing to pay 4000/5000/7000. In a country where the average salary is 14000 kes. I stop in Mombasa 4 or 5 months every year, I have not only 2 weeks and therefore I have a different approach. Only one of these girls paid 3000 but she is a case apart. Everything else is equivalent to me. But it doesn't mean I'm smarter than the others, it's fine if you or other tourists pay what you want. I do not believe that this will ruin my market.

Tinder is hot out here, like insanely hot, your profile just needs time in the market. After a few days I had hundreds of likes and I'm no spring chicken. My formula, just hookups, no dates:

Ignore all profiles with text longer than a sentence. You don't need the god / family / good girl rants etc.

Ignore all profiles with airplanes, wine glasses and other make belive slay queen BS.

Like any and all creatures that are in your "top ten would like to meet", ignore all marginal "I would do her in the west" profiles. Do one or two sentences of small talk, no more, they hate fake small talk shit. Ask politely if meeting up is something they are looking for and if so would you be interested. I avoid any profiles with professional photos or lifestyle flexing. I pay 1500 including transportation from Mombasa to Ukunda, for 2-3 hours.

My favorite stalking grounds are large outdoor markets. You'll likely the be the only muzungu there. Great place to chat up locals, whether you have game or not. 90% are available. Go in one of the local hotels (restaurants) in the market. Lunch for under 200 shillings. The cute waitress? Dinner, 1000. Keep in mind she earns about 9000 shillings a month. She likely lives with 3-5 family members in a small one or two room house, no refrigerator. Ice cream= wet panties, too. Local pubs are great places also, to hit on the barmaids. I hunt during the day. A large tip to the barmaid in a local joint gets her attention. Ask for her Instagram or WhatsApp. Easy Peasy.

Best advice: Kenya is all about networking people to people. Your phone is best used for messaging, video chats, and social media. Google directions / gos are useless. AI has figured out African navigation: Go to the first street past the petrol station, turn right, turn left at the big tree, etc😆.

So find yourself 1 or 2 trusted Boda drivers. I choose cool guys in the age bracket of women I like. He'll hook you up with regular girls. Tell him what you like. These guys are hustlers. I depend on them for late night takeaway, liquor runs, and drop off. Seeing first hand is better than relying on posted pics. If you've woken up next to the slay queen from the night before, less eyelashes, make up, and their hair in a bonnet, you understand my point. Meeting women at their workplace shows them in their natural beauty. Wait till you see them on the date night. So sweet. Lastly, the women's are submissive. You tell her what to wear, you choose the restaurant / club. Don't send Mpesa in advance. Meet her and pay her Boda. Locals pay 80-100 shillings for Boda's. I usually pay 200 out of kindness.

The latest review on cowrie shells looks to be from January.

One of the better mongering places to stay over many trips. I started out in the middle of the beach but tired of all the sellers of this and that so cowrie was perfect. I had the studio, many people don't like it but I though it was fine. Lots of storage, kitchen with all the things, bathroom sink holds water all night, hot water almost instant in the shower. The cleaners soon learn not to try to clean at nine in the morning. Like in all hotels Internet was non-existent after dark when everyone starts streaming smut, bring a chromecast / firestick to use with your phone if you want netflix on the tv. There was a lot less power outages on this side of the beach, they only ran the generator once and they ran it until power resumed. No cheaping out after an hour or two.

I was the cause of so many rows in the visitor log but nobody cared or made any comment. Only time there was a slight issue was when a visitor had an ID copy instead of original. The guard was not impressed and showed a handful of copies never reclaimed. I took responsibility and they just signed her in. Of course they got tipped some token bills later on. All the pros know of the place, many have profile pics from there even. It's BS if they claim the don't know it and they are probably trying to set you up for a "I'm a virgin good girl" GFE setup. A taxi driver asked how many virgins I had met so far with a grin, he drives so many girls from one guys house to the next and they tell him all the outragious shit white people believe. He claimed to drive for one girl that secretly lives in a huge stone villa and has 40 sponsors she schedules over the year. It was a good story either way.

The resturaunt is fine during week days, it's always a 45 minute wait mind you. Don't eat there on week ends, they rush the food and it's barely consumable.

So if you want to stay in a place with daily cleaning but still an appartment this is a good choice. Security is tight but still transparent to guest access.

Althouigh the studios don't have a view on the beach but on the parking lot only. And in the 2 bedroom appts, your neighbour opposite will watch your room anytime -- as its just a distance of perhaps 20 m. And it can be difficult at the rush hours to get a cab to pick you up. Walking to the main road is quite a challenge.

On the taxi drivers: beware of getting a girl from them. Some are on cohorts with the Bamburi Police station: one of the most corrupt bandits around. It can cost you a fortune to come free.
