When booking through smooci, it asks you to put your name and room number. I understand they do this to confirm you're actually in the listed hotel.

But my question is do you have to put the name you check into the hotel in? Do they ask the front desk to confirm?

If you don't give the name you've checked in they don't have a way to check if you're really the guest in this room.

When I arrange for days (or weeks) together I prefer someone about 40-50, the personality is more relaxed and better for extended stays. But then again, I'm old as dirt.
