Yes it was more expensive, but usually the quality matched the pricing at least IMHO. I would also agree, that on a big scale you the popular roof top bars have a lot of eye candy, but it really hit or miss (mostly miss in my recent experience) to find someone to take home. I had good luck at Oskar's and across the street at Levels or Sugar, but Oskar's offered the best return on time and effort. I will be interested to see what the report is on Minx.

The number of bottles you get depends on the brand. Last time I went with my mates I paid 20000 for 6 bottles of JW Black. They will keep it for you for up to year if you can't finish it. I'll be landing in BKK on May 5th for what will be my 3rd trip in the last 9 months.

I appreciate some of the recent insights from the forum regulars on marrying the online tools with the attractions of hitting the bars and gogos.

My last 2 trips was centered around booze, gogos, and beer bars. Towards the end, I was pretty bored watching the perfunctory gyrations on stage and the dealing with the lady drink schenanigans. I was also utterly useless in the day time due to the hangovers or my barfine showing no signs of waking up before well into the afternoon.

I will need to change my modus operandi this time around due the following reasons:

1) I have massively cut down on drinking this year and can't see myself having more than a few drinks when I do head out.

2) I will need to work remotely for 4 days: 7 PM to 3 AM local time. Will need to be fully sober on those days.

3) Temperatures and air quality look ridiculous at the moment and I don't want to be trawling Sukhumvit aimlessly looking for an encounter.

As a result, I will look to Smooci, TF, and MR as alternatives to supplement some of the day time / late morning void in addition to some of my regulars.
