My 3 weeks in the Philippines 22 feb to 14 Mar 2012
I flew direct to General Santos City, following a 5 hour layover in Manila. Gensan is dead for mongers. Fortunately I have a gf there. Unfortunately after two weeks of sex with the same woman I gave in to my monger desires and fucked my gf s sister, and was caught in the act. While in Gensan I visited Discorama, the place was dead, not even a bar tender. I alo visited Babes Bar which was also dead. There is a KTV bar on the first floor of the building housing Babes. I wandered out for a late night smoke and encountered as table full of KTV girls, a couple of hotties, but for the most part below 5 on the 10 scale. I survived the (please sir we have no money for transportation) pitch, and even waved off a bargain BJ in the nearby mens room. I spent two enjoyable weeks in rural south mindinao, departing a few days ahead of schedule due to the sis fuck.
I arrived in Manila around 5 on Tuesday March 6, I walked down to MBC and chat with Mavel, not so pretty but a real sweetie. I was too tired to waste money on a girl so I walked home alone, and got mugged. Wednesday was spent at the emergency room. Thursday morning I walked the long way to MBC. I sat at the bar for a coffee. Two girls plopped down on either side and made their pitch. They were not my first choice, but I decided to roll with the flow. We walked to a barber shop where I got a shave, then into Robinsons where I bought each a dress for 800 php. I overwhelmed them with kindness and our time together back in my hotel was great. I first fucked the younger prettier girl, we both came well. Later the older, gal exited the jaccuzi tub and joined me on the bed, where the younger gal had dozed off. E proceeded to have great sex. I opted for a condom with each as they appeared to have high mileage. We ordered room service lunch which they departed, and I believe all 3 of us was happy.
I am tied of typing, to be continued.
Hiv-aids epidemid looms in the phl
FBA's post re HIV / AIDS in the Phils is fascinating reading.
I compare it with my country, Australia, which is highly educated, lots of sex education, high condom usage rate.
The population of the Phils is about 5 times that of Australia. 100 million against 20 million.
Phils. 200 reported cases in one month, that is, about 2 cases per mo per million. Australia about 100, that is, about 5 cases per mo per million. That is Australian rate of infection is about 250% that of the Phils.
Phils. 85% are among homosexuals. Australia is a bit higher.
But 85% of the 200 is 170. So 30 to be accounted for. 17 contracted through intravenous drug usage. A bit lower that Australia. So 13 from heterosexual sex, that is, about 0. 13 per million per month. Australian rate is about 5 per year, which is aout 0. 02 per million per mo.
So what do these numbers show?
First, that this is a typical government / media beat up. If the Phils is headed for an epidemic, then, at 250% times the infection rate of the Phils, Australia must be in the grip of a full blown epidemic. But is this what we hear from the Aust govt? Of course not. So the Phils report is very useul, but the headline is typical scare mongering. Or a ploy to get more funding from overseas to fight the problem (more likely)
Second, the infection rates per million per month demonstrate that the risk of HIV infection from bareback sex is negligible. Far less than the risk of death while making your breakfast in your kitchen in the morning.
Interesting,
Gangles

By Marvin Sy (The Philippine Star)
MANILA, Philippines. All of the necessary ingredients for an AIDS epidemic are present in the country. 'With the current infection rate, around 1, 500 Filipinos need to get into anti-retroviral treatment (ART). This means that the country has to spend at least P45 million each year for the purchase of anti-retroviral (ARV) drugs for their life span, ' Sen. Santiago said.
She said that by 2015, the number of those who would need ART could reach 6, 900, costing the government P207 million to support the treatments annually. A full-blown epidemic would entail an annual cost of P50 million.
Santiago has filed Senate Resolution 658 calling for an inquiry into the alarming increase in HIV infections and the necessity of funding HIV prevention programs that include the provision of services to populations most at risk of being infected.
HIV prevention programs include HIV education, counseling and testing, diagnostic and treatment of other sexually transmitted infections, and access to commodities that promote safe sex such as lubricants.
Santiago noted that condom use in the country remains low while having multiple sexual partners is common.
The Philippines is now one of seven countries in the world with increasing numbers of new cases. The others are Armenia, Bangladesh, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Santiago is also one of the principal authors and sponsors of the Reproductive Health bill in the Senate.
200 new cases.

The number of new HIV / AIDS cases in the country is nearing the 8, 000 mark as 200 new cases were recorded in a month.
The Philippine HIV / AIDS registry showed that from January 1984 to October 2011, a total of 7, 884 cases have been recorded; 937 of them had progressed into AIDS, while 339 had died.
In October, the number of cases recorded was 92 percent higher than 104 cases in October 2010.
Public health records showed that 97 percent of the cases were males. The median age was 27 years but ranged from 15 to 65. The 20 to 29 age group had the most number of cases. Fifty four percent of the new cases were from the National Capital Region.
The males having sex with males sector (MSM) is still the leading contributor of new cases, accounting for 85 percent of the new cases. Seventeen injecting drug users (IDU) contracted the virus by sharing contaminated needles.
Of the 200 new cases, only one case, that of a 27-year-old male, had progressed to AIDS. He was infected through bisexual contact. No AIDS-related death was recorded in October.
This year. 1,869 new HIV cases were recorded. 72 of which had progressed to AIDS.
