It's time to provide a sad punting picture update for my beloved southern Phuket.
The prices have made a pretty dramatic jump over the last 3 months, for basically everything in Kata, Karon and Rawai.
I even noticed the same in Kamala.
The reason is that the high season peak of Christmas New year hasn't stopped, its continued to grow into late February.
It's driven by high volumes of cashed up semi-tourists, mainly long stay Russian conscript evading refugees.
They have moved out of Patong, and setup in the south, bringing big spending with them that wasn't hereabouts before.
And the working girls have clicked onto it, and upped their prices.
Of course, there are some lower prices still, ones I have known for a while, but anything new seems to hit this new floor.
Massage sex was 1000-1500 baht before, now 1500-2000 baht.
ST rates were 1000-1500 baht plus bar fine 300-600 baht, now 1500-2000 baht with some asking 2500-3000 baht, bar fines still same.
LT was 2000-3000 baht, now they are asking 3000-5000 baht, plus bar fines still.
So I am being very selective now with taking punts, and more often walking away with a no deal hands cross mid massage session.
Or when in need hitting up great service provider known "old faithfuls", who still recall and value how I helped them though covid.

I'm staying in Kata for a few weeks in September, hopefully its quieter then and if it isn't I'll just surf, eat good food, hava few beers and enjoy the warm weather at least. At least the weather and beer prices havn't changed since I was lat there haha. Cheers!

Anywhere will do, just prices are slightly different between in Patong and other areas.
FL's also are often a daytime option if you find them on ThaiFriendly, Tinder, etc.
Chalong, where do you exactly mean?
There are only two real naughty areas in Chalong, one on the road to the pier (Soi Sunrise), the other being Soi Taed, or Soi Muay Thai.
Both of these have afternoon open bars as well as massage, with many of the bars having short time rooms upstairs for FS sessions.

I've been a long time lurker and finally decided to join in. I will be arriving to Patong on the 17th March.
I've RTFF and I really have to shout out TGT. His posts are a pool of wealth. TGT I would love to buy you a couple of beers and meet up if possible! Your posts are what gave me the courage to push myself.
I've been extensively doing my research and trying to maximise my results but alas I've hit some road blocks for both day and night adventures.
Let me start off with my background:
I'm a 29 year old reasonably fit Indian guy. (Yes I know. This has already put me at such a disadvantage on TF, I could feel the anger from some of the FL) I'm well mannered, kind and have been brought up since childhood in a westernised style even though I've always lived in India. I groom myself well, No BO and take a lot of effort to make sure dress well too!
I've been to Thailand a few times before with my GF before. However we broke up and this really upset me. It's been a tough 6 months for me to get over it.
A couple of friends wanted to cheer me up so they convinced me to choose a holiday destination and your posts are what made me choose Phuket. (My friends are the innocent types and do not indulge in the mongering scene and I will be keeping my activities discreet).
Night:
I wanted to find an LT FL for the 17th night. Even though I used to drink ALOT in my earlier twenties. I'm just not into the bar scene anymore and certain health issues require me to be mindful of drinking. From my research I figured TF would be the best option and it's been a mixed bag for me so far.
Though I feel some of it might also have to do with the fact that I'm two weeks away so the girls aren't really responsive and well my ethnicity doesn't help it either. The few responses I did get for LT ranged from 2500-6000. The 2500 ones seem suspiciously low to me. I do not want to end up with any drama. The 6 K ones were rude and obnoxious to me after they asked which country I'm from.
I'm not saying all were like that but quite a handful were. Honestly, I'm wondering if should I give up looking for now and do it on the day I arrive? I don't want my friends to know I'm mongering so my plan is to book another room in the same hotel or another hotel for the night.
I'm just scared of getting a FL that will cause commotion. If you have any recommendations or advice, I will be grateful!
Day:
I won't be able to partake in an MP fun because my friends will be together.
I have always been passionate about learning scuba diving and I have seen your recommendations and a ton of reviews so I decided to contact ADP. A was very helpful and shared details on what's possible for a single days event. I shared it with my friends but they don't really seem enthusiastic about diving. This kinda frustrates me because it's supposed to be my trip but I can't hold a grudge against them. They've been lifelong friends and done a lot.
I've been trying to convince them to at least trying a single day diving to see how they feel. They said they'll let me know in a week. Ughhhhhh.
Anyways even with all these setbacks. I'm hoping to have a nice time and get over my ex. I'm so excited to come to this beautiful place! I want to thank you and the members of this forum for the wealth of knowledge.
