Facts are Stubborn Things
1. "The United States passed yet another grim coronavirus milestone in November: We have now seen more deaths from the virus in 11 months of 2021 than we did in all of 2020 — despite the advent of vaccines." In other words: "More Americans have died from covid in 2021 (11 months) with Uncle Joe in office than died in all of 2020 (12 months) under Trump before there was a shot.
2. "A month ago the coronavirus seemed headed for a long winter's nap in masked and well-vaccinated California. Gov. Gavin Newsom boasted that the Golden State "continues to lead the nation" as the only state to reach the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's yellow "moderate" tier of community virus transmission. But COVID-19 cases aren't falling in California anymore. They have climbed back up to the CDC's blood-red "high" level of virus transmission as the highly contagious Delta variant continues to wreak havoc.
Meanwhile, the virus has gone quiet in Deep South states that abandoned mask orders, opposed vaccine mandates, posted lower vaccination rates and saw larger outbreaks over the summer. California's case rate is now well above Texas' and double Florida's, which along with the rest of the Gulf Coast are down to the CDC's orange "substantial" transmission level."

According to CNN Fake News?
People who live in states that voted for Donald Trump are at a 50% higher risk of dying from COVID-19.
That's according to a new CNN analysis of data from Johns Hopkins University, which shows a direct parallel between low vaccination rates and higher death rates in individual states.
Pro-Trump red states had a 52% higher average of COVID-19 deaths per capita than blue states, researchers found.
That mirrors the vaccination rate data, which showed that 4 in 10 republicans remain unvaccinated, compared to just 1 in 10 democrats.
The five states with the highest per capita death rates -- Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and West Virginia -- all went for Trump in the 2020 election.
Meanwhile, the death rates in blue states, where vaccination rates are higher, have significantly declined since vaccines were made available.
I assume this is another joke when fake news is quoted.

The southern states tend to get a reprieve this time of year because the extreme heat is off and crowded indoor activities around AC decrease. They spike in the summer. It's seasonal. That was Desantis' excuse for the spike in FL over this summer and he was correct. On the other hand the north sees a spike as cold weather arrives due to increased indoor activities. But what is the big picture? Since the start of the pandemic red states with few exceptions have much higher Covid case rates per 100 K population, which gives us the big picture. See attachments. In fact if you look at the top ten then the bottom ten the former is about a Whos' Who of strong red states, the bottom the same of strong leftist states. The attachments are through 11/26/21. Follow the link and you'll see the maps updated through yesterday.
As to the increase in Covid deaths in 2021 as compared to 2020, first there were also more cases in 2021 to correlate with the deaths. The reasons are two fold, one the pandemic didn't get going strong until late March of 2020 so there is a shorter time frame. Two, there's been far more mobility this year as restrictions have lifted. There has however been considerably fewer deaths this year in relation to cases due to improved treatments and the vaccines that conservatives proportionately reject at a far greater rate than their liberal counterparts. See attachment.
So these "facts" you brought, or perhaps only copied and pasted off a right wingnut blog are actually half-truths that when presented alone represent an untruth.
P.S. Much of the nation including many red states, as well as some of the more northern counties in the South have high transmission rates over the last week, so it's disingenuous to single out Cali. Given what we know about Covid, a disease spread through aerosols, it no doubt would be worse if not for the many that cooperate with safety protocols like masking and social distancing. Comparing Sweden's results, a country that has had loose protocols against their Nordic neighbors who have taken the virus more seriously proves this. Check World O Meter under the individual countries.

Thanks, Joe, Nancy, Chuck and the Dems
Or, as Republicans would scream, Biden and the Democrat Party continue to destroy America!
U.S. weekly jobless claims at lowest level since 1969 as labor market tightens

BTW, as great as that result is already, shouldn't someone in the typically pro-Repub Mainstream Media at least grudgingly mention in passing that there are quite a few more people in America today than 52 years ago as well, making this terrific Biden / Dem economic result even more impressive? LOL. Wishful thinking, I know.
