Hello all,

I would like some advise on the mongering scene in Angeles City and Boracay in particular, its A first time trip there, where's the best place to pick up chicks in AC, and are there any parlours in AC were you can go directly and pick a chick also, without the hastle of buying drinks and BF etc. And also In Manilla, ideal bars there or the best pick up joint in the mongering scene. & could you advise me where's an ideal spot to get chicks, and also some massage palour or Casa, were you can pick up a cute babe, nice and quick without the hastle. Thanks alot guys, any advise would be great.

Sorry man, if you read the threads for these areas you will see AC, Manila, and Bora are not monger friendly.

A month ago I was planning on a trip to Manila, but changed plans as soon as I found out LAC was closed, so I went to Bangkok instead...
Now reading postings from the last month, I've figured it out. LAC closing was to drive up the price. I think LAC was giving too good of a bang for buck, so the universe closed it down.
I would consider Manila to be on the expensive side before LAC closing. Guys, be ready to pay even more now.
Btw, do you guys know that BKK is on sale now? I'm sure you'll figure it out. Let the smaller head decide.

South on Malate you find a lot of korean and japanese bars full of girls

- not our western style. And maybe not availeble for us. Because korean and japs pay a lot of money and prefair very white phils girls.

Even they always are happy over my "whitening cream". Ordinary sun cream. Hehehehehehe

Me I lkied LAC because of his 1st floor. Very good music bands. Have been often there only to listened the bands.

Now only Nirvana offer this kind of bands but they don't have so much variety.

Hope that a new place of fun and music can open soon in manila.

- scared from the closing of roxas bvd animation I hope the city will alive soon. But the new politics is no more so friendly and open as bevor.

Spaceman[/QUOTE]Space, friend of mine is staying in Malate. He reports LAC closed. GPoint dead midweek, but still hopping on weekends. Also other bars in the area (amazonia, cowboy, southern cross) have picked up girls. Prices for him are what I paid a year ago, 500-2000 depending. I'm there next week I'll chime in then.

It's a ten minute taxi ride from Malate/Ermita. You'll have to pay a barfine plus a tip, but it's still a lot less than what you'll pay in a Western country and you'll get a lot more bang for the buck.

Thanks for posters like Westcoast1. Because for a long time after the demise of LAC, I felt pressure from the forum to turn to HAV Makati, which is not quite the monger equivalent of LAC - cheap & plentiful. No offense to the Koreans or Japanese, but I refuse to pay a premium for pussies.
I am planning a trip to SEA, so my eyes will be glued to this thread for LAC replacements.

I thought I had pretty good knowledge of what was available there and I usually stay at Bayview basically for location and small swimming pool. But this Tropicana looks even better with a nice size pool. Any feed back would be appreciated.

I am really going to miss my obligatory afternoon beers in LA cafe on my return trip in September. Anyone know if this place is shut for good or is there a glimmer of hope that the usual bribes will facilatate a quick reopen?

Cheers[/QUOTE]The pool is olympic size, beautiful. The trop is an actual apartment, rented by many locals. Have stayed there often. Not all of the smaller studio's have a room safe (luck of the draw, they will not reserve one that has a safe for you in advance). All of the suites have a safe. Kind of spartan apartments, wood floors, simple double-bed. In the suites, aircon is only in the bedroom, not in the living room/kitchen area. A bit pricey for Malate (price does not include vat tax, but does include a mediocre breakfast). Buddy of mine recently tried to book a room, but they were full for over a week out, so book early. Its a 1-minute walk to Robinsons mall. Its on a street adjacent to Pedro Gil, and can be hard to get a taxi at night after 9pm. Just outsided the front door to the right, heading to Pedro Gil, is a restraunt, sari sari, and laundry. Keep walking to Pedro Gil, turn left, one block to the mall. Turn right and 3 blocks to the LRT.

I think it's going to stay closed for quite a while. That great moral crusader, saver of damsels in distress, and aging hypocrite, Mayor Lim, has apparently made this a cause celebre and seems determined to keep the doors shut. Rumor has it that the owners of LA made the egregious mistake of contributing heavily to the political campaign of Lim's rival during the recent mayoral election.

Sounds like the mayor has his panties in a knot over LA Cafe. Boy that has to be hurting the hotels and such?
I personally like Amazonia but without LA Cafe there, one less reason to stop over in Manila.

Great place to stay and a great location. Book your room in advance though.

Check the FAQ on the website. Overnight guests are charged around 700 pesos. So it is not girl friendly free.
Better stay in GF hotels if you are mongering. This place is Ok if you are checking in with a girl and the girl stays with you the whole time.
