BAS.[/QUOTE]Personally I have lived Budapest several times sometimes one or two weeks and sometimes even couple months and for me safest and easiest way is using Airbnb, since you could see reviews about the apartment before committing to rent it and when you want to book longer time like month or two you could usually negotiate good price with owner and for this it helps if you have yourself good reviews from previous landlords there on your Airbnb profile, so those apartment owners who you contact can see you are honest and trustworthy yourself.

Naturally Airbnb is little more expensive than other places could be but I think benefits you get from there is worth it. And with that I mean reviews, english speaking landlords or agencies who handle some of those properties, plus other Airbnb benefits.

I mean, Budapest is among cities with the highest flat prices to buy, not only in Europe & renting is also not cheap.
