Weekend Report - Saturday
Ever fired a kalashnikov? It's terrific fun, it really is. Unless you have a stonking hangover, in which case, you're stood there with your eyes half shut, lapsidaisically pointing an automatic weapon at a target wishing your mummy was there to make everything better.
Two hours later and we're back in the centre for some hair of the dog. I've said it before and I'll say it again, for me Ukrainian beer is in the top three beers of the world. It's cheap, it's tasty and as often as not, you want to bang the girl who's bringing it to you.
The plan for the saturday evening was very simple, hit a few bars and do our level best to secure hot girls before the need to visit RP surfaced. Well, all I can say is, the best laid plans of mice and men.
We again started at Buddha Bar, which on the saturday already had some knock-out women about at 8pm. Problem is, the prettier they are, the more unapproachable they seem, so we removed ourselves to Barsky where the girls are very approachable.
We found space by the bar and were talking to four very charming girls, clearly not p2p and very probably not even semi-pro. We're a few drinks in and the girls suggest we all decamp to Patipa (not our first choice, but probably a better club if you're there with girls). We've had a few drinks, and leave but Patipa ISN'T a better club even if you're there with girls. Who want drinks. And drink fast.
I didn't mind us paying for a few drinks, but we didn't seem to be getting anywhere with them, in fact, they were a bit more distant once there (maybe embarrased about being there with foreigners?) and so we cut our losses and guess where we ended up.
Inexplicably, my friends start talking to the two girls they'd taken the night before. I was stood at the bar not believing my eyes. Funny what beer does to a bloke. And of course, they now can't shake these two when they come back to the bar. There are maybe 30 girls all better looking and potentially better in bed, but at the end of the evening my idiot friends left with the same two girls, for the SAME PRICE.
It gets worse.
Seeing me without a girl, they call their friend over. She's pretty enough, dark hair, slightly italian looking, maybe a bit of romanian. But I start talking to her because I don't want to be a prick and she turns out to be quite fun. And the other guys want to leave already. She says I get a special price, $200 for two hours. It's late, I'm tired and she has all the right bits in the right places. So off we all go.
I can't remember her name, but she was like a Macdonalds, convenient but ultimately unfulfilling. My own fault and my excuse is that I took one for team.
I sound like a whinging git, but we really had a great weekend, Kyiv is a LOT of fun.
(Even when you miss your flight home because they've shut the bridge down to one lane, on a saturday afternoon, and then have to pay $500 for another ticket, and wait 9 hours for the next flight, even then it's worth it!)

Advice needed - spa resort
On the next trip to Kiev Im planning to take some time off work and take my local girl to some spa resort.
Can anyone recommend something like that in the Kiev vicinity (not more than 30-50km away, dont want to waste my time on the roads).
Something in the forest or near the river, with saunas, spa treatments, massages, you know, but something with stile, not one of those Soviet stile sanatoriums

14/15 Nov - anyone for some beers at RP
Hey, am a London lad in Kiev on the weekend 14/15/16 November, but travelling alone. Anyone heading to the RP or Arena on any of those nights?
Staying at the Rus Hotel so not sure what the go is with bringing girls home (I assume security just gets some dosh and they then ignore it).

Second, I may have been too impulsive. It was not even three, and this negotiation was going to easy compared to Friday and Saturday. But I guess the demand is a lot higher weekends. I had great sex, but she was a professional. She had her taxi parked outside (additional 100 grivna), so despite I insisted we would go with my taxi driver (50 grivna in comparison) that was out of question. And despite the fact that I, most likely, was her last costumer, she didn't stay one minute extra, and I was only allowed to have sex with her once, which I was aware of before we started the session. Besides, no pictures and no kissing.
Goblins is a perfect description, and it is a sad fact that of approximately ten girls in an apartment, I would say both in Poland and in Ukraine, only two are fuckable. But on one hand these two girls can be really hot if you are lucky.
I will check out the top-models site. I have made some arrangements with the Slavic Standard website, a serious dating site. My friend is into this, and I also want to check it out, even though I initially fear that this may turn out to be an expensive adventure, with dinners, Prada-bags (forget it) and so on. But I shall not judge it until I have dated a few girls. My friend has already met about 6-8 Kiev-girls through this agency, but he is now aiming for countryside-girls, since the ladies from Kiev are "mentally corrupt, greedy, and just try to constantly rip you off" (I just love that line). Anyhow, my hope is to set up a RP-look a like but to have her as a freebie, which would be more healthy for me in all aspects.
I really love River Palace, and can really recommend it to anyone. If the price would have been more reasonable, we are talking $75 $150, I would have taken my stuff from the dorms and moved right away to RP.
You are right about the GFE-thing. I just had too little experience of RP before writing that or I was just lucky with that first girl I brought home (Saturday), who really was nice as a person.
How about other places? I finally got my hands over a Kyiv-guide, and I can see that several places advertise in it, including RP. Strip clubs like Millenium, Heaven, Paradise, Red Lion, Joss, and loads of massage institutes. But maybe those places only offers lap-dance, happy end, etc?
