Everything I am, and everything I ever will be in Medellin can be traced back to two people. Catgirl my novia who brought me here. Then George who befriended me shortly after the first time I arrived in Medellin in 2019. I thought Catgirl had dumped me, but she didn't (cultural misunderstanding).
He is more than a match for any subject matter expert here. When I first met George, he told me this was umpteenth trip to MDE, and that his wife told him if he touched the doorknob to return here one more time she would divorce him. He told her, "draw up the papers" and walked out the door. She divorced him, amicable settlement except for custody of the standard schnauzer dog.
Super-bright guy, with an unbelievable past history about which a screenplay could easily be written.
Most of us have significant people in our lives who we use use overtly or subconsciously use as a personal barometer. Often a family member, for guys, could be their dad, and it can be different people for different situations. Someone you gauge yourself against, what would they do in certain situations, etc. ?
For those of you who care, and who think I am out there Living on the Edge and taking risks, meet George. He is me on steroids. He is me, amplified to the extreme in every direction. He is one of the main reasons I may not appeared overly concerned about the ramifications of my actions in MDE, because whenever I am in the middle of one of my klusterfuks, all I have to do is thing of George.

My chicas all say I am crazy, they say George is "too crazy. " he is the prototypical shit magnet for any trouble that will go down. The good news is he can deflect the trouble away from me. The bad news is if you are too close you can suffer collateral damage. Me.
In fact, things got so out-of-control with George that I refused to go out in public with him anymore. He's had the same Colombian novia for four years and their relationship is volatile. I am happy to see him again, been a while. Last time I saw him was in the middle of a drug deal gone bad over a year ago, and everyone was running out of the house, scattered in four directions.
I am happy to see he is alive and well, but a little scared. I look like a choir boy compared to this guy. He would give you the shirt off his back and can be trusted, until he gets too much tussi in him, then watch out.
The Nuti may have undergo nuclear implosion with Crazy George and Asti in the house. My girls who know him will not come to my room if he is here. I love him like a brother but it often boils down to a matter of self preservation. I am not ready to lift my ban on being in public with him just yet. Fuck me and help us all.

Be careful what you ask for. Also, IDK WTF is going on compared to some of the longer term, subject matter experts with boots on the ground here for many years. I've got a little more than one year contact time here and have not been to 90% of the venues dicussed in these threads.
