Thank you, this is a very good heads up. It's been mentioned here more than once in the past but you know, this group's memory tends to be limited to the last couple of pages of posts. I remember is was back in 2011 or so that facebook's landing pages startied displaying login dialogs for as many accounts accessed the site from a given machine. By now it's well known that facebook mines personal data from users and that data includes the personal data of non-facebook contacts, even if those contacts have never accessed facebook. Of course facebook also exploits any information you expose to it (e. G. Telephone numbers, contact files, photos, videos, GPS coordinates, and on and on and on.).

The bottom line of interest to us is that it is very difficult to prevent data leakage between what we call "monger accounts" and the accounts that include family, personal, and professional contacts. In plain language, the "people you may know" contact suggestions are a mine field that can blow up in our faces depending on what combination of us or our contacts click them. Maybe it will be helpful to some guys if this information is pinned to the "how can I use facebook to get laid" threads.

For all the first-timers curious about the conflicting info out there on the topic of hotel room vs motel / casa, getting "wiped out" after being drugged in your hotel, the relevancy of chica-friendly accommodations, etc, here is a 8-point summary of what you need to know:

1. Regarding trip reports where dudes almost exclusively used their own room: A lot of these reports come from senior members who already know the ropes; don't expect to emulate their experiences on your first trip (unless you have the necessary guidance and insight, or you have a limitless budget. More on that below).

2. Regarding advice to never bring a chica to your own room for fear of being drugged: This advice is geared towards newbies and thus not commonly mentioned in this forum. It is not bad advice, but not necessarily mandatory, as outlined below.

3. You may have heard "Scopolamine aka Dragons Breath is rampant" and also "Scopolamine is a myth": Believe either extreme and you will be set for failure. Just, use common sense; they cannot steal something that's hidden or undiscoverable. Also, hotels are safer than most AB&be and apartments due to a staffed front desk, cameras, and chica check-in. So yes, look for chica-friendly accommodations.

4. The dangers of the street scene like El Centro, Santa Fe etc is greatly exaggerated. The odds of getting mugged is quite low. As evidenced in this forum, I'd say it's about a 1 in 500 chance, if not 1 in 1,000, or less. But, of course, being blatantly idiotic could make you a statistic.

The people who befriended me during that recent crazy weekend in Guatape sold me some Tussi and it was too strong. I more or less have stopped all referrals unless it's to a good friend, not because I know his tastes but because I know he won't hold it against me if the girl turns out to be a dud for him.
