Firstly I doubt if you will get out the airport without a visa. Secondly the airport is about an hour from town.

What you might find is a Hot Toc or Massage place in one of the nearby villages but that is really hit and miss.

I am planning to visit Hanoi and need advice from other fellow mongers on the following :-

1. GF Hotels and their rates and whether they can be book online.

2. Where to get pussy for ST and LT.

3. Is the Ho chi minh city a better place in terms of pussy than hanoi and if yes then how long it takes to travel to ho chi minh and the mode of travel available.

I have gone thru some of the reports but I would like to know the pick up joints and whether free lancers can be picked if so and which place.

Staying in the Fortuna. Booked the room last minute and there was no availability online so had to call. All they had was a premiere room and it was $195 a night. The room itself is nice. Stylish, big plasma tv, jacuzzi tub. The downstairs Boss club is open at least by 1930 and closes at 0000. Unfortunately they have implemented a $30 minimum bill policy. Once you go inside drinks are pretty pricey. $8 for a long island ice tea. Well whatever, you have to spend at least $30 anyway. I don't particularly care for the layout of the place. A bunch of semi circular couches all in a row and facing the stage. Sit down for a bit and eventually some girls will ask if they can sit with you or mamasan will come over. Mama will explain that it is $30 to have a girl come sit with you. At least you can apply the expense to your $30 minimum. If you agree then she calls over about 12 girls in a line and shines a flashlight in their face so you can get a good look while deciding. Quality was pretty good but I wouldn't say they were models. Looks were consistent across the board, all 7 or 8's. Pick your girl and she'll sit down and wrap herself around you. Some light kissing and petting ensue. Not much conversation, unless you count "how long you stay vietnam, where you from?" Want some nooky? Mamasan told me $70 for 2 hours, one shot or $100 all night. I want like 3 hours and 2 pops. Mama says it's up to the girl, money goes direct to her. Girl not willing to negotiate. I say ok to all night but she won't do that either. I say hey, it's getting close to midnight and then you'll have nothing, take it or leave it. She leaves it. I ask mama to round up another herd of girls, making sure they are willing to do all night first. She whips the flock together in no time and another 12 eager faces are getting the flashlight treatment. I pick a girl, do the petting, we agree to go upstairs all night (which equals until 6am) for $100. I write my room number down for the girl. She goes out the back way, and I pay the tab ($63 for drinks and the girl chat). The $30 fee for Mamasan to have a girl sit with you seems to be a one time expense so you don't have to pay multiple if you don't like the first girl.

Long story short. You pay your tab and go up to your room and a few minutes later the girl knocks on the door. You pay the girl in the room, not at the club.

If you're having trouble getting Mamasan's attention, just grab a girl and ask her to bring Mama over or look for the business dressed middle aged ladies that are carrying clipboards and notebooks. There are several Mamasan's working the club at once.

This is a very encouraging report for Hanoi where availability has been limited. Even so $100 for an allnighter is getting expensive. I am gonna try to link this to the R of D.

I slipped up to Hanoi for a few days for business (usually travel to HCMC only). It seemed funny at first as I could not find any action and ended up asking the taxi driver and guess what, he even said that he was not sure where to go!

I ventured down to the Jazz Club in the Old Quarter and had a few drinks and walked out at about 10:30pm and outside the club was a girl and a guy on a moto. The guy said he would hook me up and I thought wow, finally some action. The girl walked over and told him off and said to me that she could provide me with everything I was looking for. She looked very attractive so I said OK. She first took me back to another bar within 5 minutes walking and said she wanted to have a drink with me first and see a couple of friends so we did just that and her friends were also awesome. We got our drinks very cheap and she told me to let her do the talking when we ordered and she would get them very cheap.

Her English was great and then I found out she was a tour guide that picked up the odd guy now and then when business was slow.

She took me back to her friends place and we were there for a few hours. She was fantastic and had a great smile and was very friendly. She then asked for 60 USD and even asked if that was OK with me!

Hilton, Sheraton & Sofitel are not GF. However, in the day time it is quite easy to get the girls u to your room provided they are dress well not to attract the security guards attention. During night time you cannot take girls to your room.

Seems that Fortuna is the only place you can pick up WG from the BOSS ktv at the basement. You cannot take back girls from other joints to your room.

Sheraton do not have a ktv but there is a pub with lots of FL.

I am at the Fortuna now. The Boss Bar is asking for 30 US$ entrance fee...even I stay in the hotel...yesterday told them to fuck off.... today my local agent paid and we went in.

Yes, there are pretty gals but all cold like the iceberg hitting the Titanic in a cold winternight. They are world champions in hustling for yor $$$$. Starting fee for foreigner is 100 US$ for a nookie.

As I have said before here and elsewhere the Vietnam gals in the commercial sex scene are often hard nosed and great hustlers. Especially the ones who make it out of the country. I see it as an inevitable response to the restrictive attitude of the authorities which ensures that supply is limited.

But please do not classify all VN gals that way. They are often very sweet and accommodating. But non WL are very hard to find in Hanoi. A trip to Hai Phong area might be rewarding.

In Saigon non WL are easier to find and new recruits amongst the bar gals can also be found with a less commercial attitude.

Even at my vists before, I was dating gals from Vietsingles.com...so called good girls. But still...their mindset is cruxed..money minded...focus on financial security. Directions for this place:

Go to West lake, pass by the Sofitel and the Sheraton; as soon as you have passed by the Sheraton, turn left and pass by Sheraton’s second entry. Go on and take the third street to the left (after the Golden resort). Proceed in this street for 300 m, and then the street name changes to:

Ngo 52 Duong To Ngoc Van.

Then you have arrived and will see some men sitting on the street in front of houses (former small hotels? ) and waving you in. And then you just mention bum-bum and settle for the price and choose your girl.

Prices: as I said: it should be around 300. 000 – 400. 000 VND for short time!

Decided it was "public service time" during a recent short visit to Hanoi.

Since I had rented a bike for the next 24 hours, I proceeded to ride to the location of the Sheraton and followed the directions as closely as I could.

I started to doubt the directions when I could not find the “Golden Resort”.

I went up and down that road just pass the Sheraton’s 2nd entry point twice.

Finally, I decided to do a road count and take the third street after the entrance of the Sheraton while ignoring smaller turn offs and there it was – “Duong To Ngoc Van” road!

Halfway down that road, the men sitting under open umbrellas outside small “hotels” waved away at me as I rode by.

So, HERE ARE THE NEW DIRECTIONS AS CLEAR AS I CAN WRITE THEM:

"Turn off the main road toward the second entrance of the Sheraton (coming from the Sofitel).

Go past that 2nd entrance.

Go past the Fraser's Suite building.

Go past the road where there is a signboard for the Ho Tay Resort.

Take the next turning left (3rd road after 2nd entrance of Sheraton). That is Duong To Ngoc Van Road."

I did not want to partake as I dislike ST action on premise myself.
I had also checked out "Doson" (near Haiphong) in previous visit and would say that this is similar but perhaps slightly more in terms of costs. There was a similar look to this place for sure.

My objective was to locate the BBS places for other mongers. The result is that I did not determine prices as posted nor check out the quality of the girls. It was also quite early at 2pm and I did not think the best talents would be on show as at that time.

My take is that if a foreigner came without speaking Vietnamese, those mentioned prices would be valid. Going by what was being charged in Doson, my own belief is that prices should be somewhere in the region of 150,00 to 300,000 for ST maximum. Perhaps a Viet speaking monger will be able to verify my “speculation”.

At the end of this road, you have a kind of restaurant and just before that, a modern terrace restaurant called “Phuong Quyen” with a large 2nd floor terrace overlooking the Lake.

My thoughts are that if you are going with a taxi, you should give the name of this restaurant (Phuong Quyen), and the name of the road “Duong To Ngoc Van” and let him take you there and drop off at the restaurant. You will have passed the BBS places when you arrive at the restaurant.

Go to the restaurant to enjoy a beer and the view of the Lake to shake off the taxi driver. (This because I dislike the leeching behaviors of taxi drivers most places and their commission demanding ways!)

After your drink by which time you should be rid of him (hopefully), you walk back to the BBS places and partake of the choices available at the best prices without commission!

If you are riding a bike like me, you would pass the 2nd entrance of the Sheraton, pass the Fraser’s Suite building, the road junction of the Ho Tay Resort and enter the next road which would be “Duong To Ngoc Van”.

My nokia map for Hanoi (as for Ho Chi Minh City) does not have up to date road details unlike the excellent detailed maps for much of the rest of Asia!

Nevertheless, I was able to lock in the location and coordinates for other mongers to use. 21.0691 degrees N and 105.8241 degrees E.
