Sure.
I catched a bus Praça General Osorio in Ipanema (on Prudente de Morais), which took me straight to Bonsucesso.
It was a few years ago so I don't remember the number, but Gen Osorio is its departure/terminus, so it's quite easy to find.
Don't know about metro.

If this is all true, then right off the bat I would think that the other cafe's within the area would be the next logical place for the gdp's to go look for clients. At least until another main venue is set up. I"m just guessing here.

Well I don't know who might have the answer, but I'm going to try and find out tonight. As for the Bingo Arapador building, they have covered up the bingo sign and there is a lot of construction going on in there. I will peak my head in tomorrow and see what I can find out. My apartment is about 10 steps away from that building. As much as I didn't frequent Help this trip, it still is a great place to pick up quality bunda. hope this is just another Help rumor...

I can only go by what other brasilians told me, I asked like 5 people. The first person I asked, lived two blocks away from that terma and he told me that the area is very dangerous. He warned me to only try to go during the daytime and NEVER at night. The two taxi drivers I asked, both said they wont take passengers into bonsuccesso, they would ask them to get out of their cab and find another taxi.
Not sure why 5 completely different brasilians would all try to scare me from going into that area. But to each their own. I was specifically going to go to that terma to try and fuck Luana, but after hearing all that BS, I decided to skip that phat booty! Maybe Jamaicanceo will ventur into the region and he can post his report on the board.

Help has now been officially expropriated. The owners and operators have 60 days to leave the building. Terraca Atlantica is also affected. The owners will get $13 milllion USD.
"RIO - A judge of the 9th Vara de Fazenda Pública accepted the request for expropriation of the property's of nightclub Help in Copacabana, and ruled on Monday that it be vacated in 60 days. The government has already deposited in the state court U.S. $ 13 million, a figure initially stipulated for the purchase of an area of 1600 square meters, which will be in, 2011 the new headquarters of the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS). The construction will start in November.
The court process began last year when the governor, Sérgio Cabral, signed a decree making it a public utility, for expropriating the land where the nightclub and restaurants: Sobre as Ondas and Terrace Atlantic are located. According to the Attorney General of the State, the owners of the property can still use the amount to be paid by the government for the land, but the decision on the expropriation of the property is final.
The land - on Rua Djalma Ulrich 4, corner of Avenida Atlantica 3432 - is part of an estate, but is rented to a group of entrepreneurs who run Help and the restaurants. Contacted by Globo, the administrators of the club have not been found to comment on the case, nor to provide the lawyers phone numbers".

Oh well. Looks like I might make it on the last day Help is open (assuming they go the full 60 days allowed) . . . although I was considering coming in a few days later than planned shortening my trip because of the economy, thus missing out on Help's last gasp.
But with this recent news plus the global economy not exactly making me feel that it's a good idea to spend my savings on hookers this year, I'm starting to think maybe I should cancel/postpone my trip this May?
This would be only my 2nd trip to Rio (went 1st time in '08, also in late May around Memorial Day weekend) and trip #1 was very short (just 6 days) so I don't have a lot of contacts to rely on.
I did prefer the termas to Help, and guys on these P4P forums have been complaining about Help for the past couple of years now, that it's not what it used to be, etc. etc.
Still, I did appreciate Help and the whole Terraco Atlantica scene as a backup or "Plan B" option when I didn't hit a terma during the day (because of doing "regular tourism").
So I'm thinking late May might be a bad time to go, as the independent scene will be in a "transitionary" phase. There might not be a lot of "Plan B" out there.
I was thinking of branching out on trip # 2 with the in-call freelancers and agencies, and also the massagem venues. With Help out of the equation, that maybe becomes a must if I decide to stick with my trip for May. . .
What do you guys think?

Had some great nights in there and no doubt will have some good nights in there before it closes. I would guess that another place will replace help by christmas. The garotas will hang out where the mongers go. Simple.
Don´t cry. Help closing it´s not a loss.
I have never seen so low quality at Help as these days.
It´s almost like VM quality. The only difference is that the Help girls dress nicer, have an awful attitude and charge absurd money.
Let those overweighted, lazy and spoiled Help-girls start doing some hard honest work at VM or in a R$ 1/minute casa in centro. :D
everyone is gonna have their own thoughts about what it means for HELP to be closing, personally, I hate to see it happen. I am gonna try my hardest to get down there, before the final date comes for its closure.
