Had the experience of a trip to the RRI area in Solo tonight. This is a seriously seedy set of single lane streets with "hotels" dotted along them. Girls are in the rooms and papasan takes you around to look at the girls. Get ready for the Javanese scowl if you are bule from these girls. There was nothing there of any quality. The one girl I definitely would have done wouldn't do bule, paid my 150 000 and took another into a dirty room with a filthy mattress and she got naked but looked half malnourished and some warty looking things and flaky looking skin around her nether regions. This was just not doing it for me. So as a piece of smart advice for any punters wanting to trawl the bottom of central Java's lokalisasi's, half the skill of punting is knowing when it is time to go? And that was right then.

But worth a look.

My sex addiction drove me back ro RRI later in the night to see if I had missed anything. The short answer was no.

This place must be the genital wart capital of Indonesia. Out of three girls that got naked for me tonight. All appeared to have quite bad infestations of genital warts. Poor old OS has invested a whole pile of time and money and had to walk away every time. The last girl was at hotel Arjuna which has been discussed here before.

Lets see if the Hotel security guy can come up with something a little classier heh heh.

Stayed a night in Cirebon in November. I visited the Grizzly bar at hotel Betani, maybe 20 people on a Saturday night. A few girls with their indo-BF's, but no pros to be seen.

Later the same evening visited the Mithas Nightclub at Hotel Apita. Few working girls there, but the manager / mamasan told me that most of them could only accompany you in the Karaoke room. A few of them were available for takeout (1.5 juta), but they'are looks did not justify that price. The nightclub had some nice sexy-dancers (not nude), but I figure they were not for take-out. After deciding upon leaving the place, a taxi driver drove me to a street with some street-walkers, found a decent looking one for 350 k ST.

Conclusion: Cirebon is not a very happening place.

Anyone have any updates on Tegal or Indramayu? I will be planning a trip to both areas, for the sole-purpose of some kampung-hunting! I figure at least Indramayu has some real potential.

If you find yourself in NED (Nagoya), look for Lucys Oarhouse, its pretty well known.

After socializing in Lucys and having a feed and a beer, I can recommend asking the staff how to go upstairs to the unofficial disco.

They have a little outdoor exit that goes up some back stairs to a little disco where working girls are.

The little disco is "Banana's", which is not worth (again, unless you don't like the company of Austrialians, etc). Girls are not pretty and overall not worth the price. Sad environment. There are tons of better places where to go in Batam, even in kampung bule, with and without bule.

As unwillingly suggested below, if you browse the RoD you'll find a summary of all best places in Batam Nagoya, with prices, comments, orientation, etc. Ready my reports and you'll know where to look at, based on what you look for: pubs, massage, KTVs, discos, for FLs or girls working under contract. Batam is a treasure, but only if you know where to go, what to do, how to behave. Have fun.

Oh, I think I should explain the above claim. I really believe that.

I wrote ISG field reports from more than a dozen of different countries and maybe 20 different cities since maybe 2006 (I try to remember: Batam, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Uganda, Ghana, various places in Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, European countries, plus others...). I played our hobby in way more countries worldwide without reporting on ISG, BUT only in Batam I had the chance to experience outstanding events like the following:

- took virginity of two ladies (one 25 yo, one 30+), who spontaneously offered me her cherry in a night of passion after meeting in a club (Of course, no money involved for this. And of course not the same night: two independent stories. The first time I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but not, it happened again!)

- been in bed for a 3-some with two sisters 18yo+19yo booked out from the same KTV;

- been with a hard-core WG, met in a disco, who after one night in my bed rejects my money and tells me "I don't want your money. I like you and you are the first who treated me like a lady" (after 2 years, she is still my best friend in Batam);

It is exactly as Black Page says. Only a few girls, not very attractive, and when you finally select one you are taken to the attic where there is a single bed in a brightly lit large room. Not my favourite environment. Girls are not very enthousiastic either.

The small city of Banjuwangi ls located on the easternmost tip of East-Java, the port that has ferries to the island of Bali.

Visited in the end of December, stayed one night at the Mirah hotel.

Tried to find some nightlife and girls in the evening. First I visited Manyar Garden Hotel where I have spent a night before, 2-3 years ago. Back then it was quite popular, live music and a few girls were around to look for clients. This particular evening, the place was completely dead, 2-3 guests. The owner of the place told me that the place is relatively quiet these days, except on the weekends they bring in DJs from Surabaya or Jakarta.

It was time to move on, after having a couple of warm-bintangs. There is few taxis in Banjuwangi and you must order by phone. Ojegs (motocycle taxi) are hard to come by too, especially at night.

The next venue was the karaoke / disco joint in my hotel. Its also called Mirah. The place had 20-30 visitors in the main singing hall, but also ha private rooms. They seemed to have 15-20 girls working, but only 5 were available when I arrived. A couple of decent lookers, I made my pick, but the girls seemed disapproving against foreigners. After a few drinks at this joint I ventured of to find a ojeg. Asked him if he knew where to find girls, but he informed me that it was hard after 22:00 in the evening, but he knew about a place. It was worth at try. I was quite surprised when suddenly I found myself at the port (where the ferries take you to Bali). On the side of the main port there were a few houses nearby that he claimed had girls. We went walking house to house, a bit surreal, but again its still wouldn't raise many eyebrows in Indonesia. I did not have high hopes with this project, and wasn't that surprised to find the only lady available was a 35 year old housewife that were currently sitting in her kitchen singing karaoke alone. With a mixture of self irony and regret that I could find a girl for the night, I retreated back to the hotel.

Conclusion: Banjuwangi sucks during the night.

Are there any, more upmarket ones, in Yogyakarta that provide additional services like the ones in Jakarta? I can see information on the net about spas that seem to be aimed at men, but it's unclear if they provide extras (or if bule are welcome there). Any information would be appreciated.
