Manila to Jakarta flight details
I promised everyone a feedback on my flight to Jakarta from Manila. Take into account, I booked my flights way at the end, almost 2 or 3 days of my date of departure. I generally don't know my scheduling until the last minute.
After research I decided to split my trip into 2 segments. Manila to Singapore and Singapore to Jakarta.
Manila to Singapore:
The best and most convenient flight was through Jetstar. I found the flight on Zuji. Com, then proceeded to jetstar. Com and booked my flight. For those unfamiliar with Jetstar, it is the Australian budget airline. They modeled their airline parallel to Air Asia. I think it is also partly owned by Branson. The flight cost $100, one way. With the extras, premium seats etc. Fees, it cost me $140. 00, one way. Departed at 10:40 from Manila (Terminal 1) , arrived in Changi at 2:40 afternoon. My return flight departed Changi (Budget Terminal) at 2 am, and arrived in Manila at 6 am. Just time to meet my morning session at the hotel.
Singapore to Jakarta:
I used Tiger Airways. Departed from Changi Budget Terminal at around 6PM. Arrived in Indonesia, Jakarta at 8:30 pm. The fare cost $60. 00 each way inclusive of taxes and fees. Returned on the 9 Pm flight which arrived just in time to catch the 2 am back to Manila.
If you book in advance, pretty certain the fares will be much more cheaper. Jetstar was excellent, and Tiger Airways sucked big time from ground crew to the flight. Being part of SIA, what a shame!
I will try Phillipine Airlines on my next trip.
