100 is far too low to be known as a "tip". 100 is usually called "taxi money".
I've always considered the taxi money or 100 Baht to be a tip for the P4P TG. More often that not it is the lousy performers who ask for it, after the "date" is over.
BTW, sometimes I've tipped the currency exchangers at the bank a 100 note, if they were especially helpful or cute. I like to see their reactions as they protest, try to give it back, and prostrate themselves at the same time. I just leave it on the table and smile at them as I walk away.
I guess their reaction has something to do with their King's image being on the bill. Can't recall if they have their hands together in a prayer like way when they do it. One of them said, in addition to doing what I described above, that the bank job was her duty.
Likewise I'll tip a seven eleven employee 10 or 20 Baht if they help me find something I'm looking for. Or 100 Baht if they put time on my phone. One time when I slipped the girl the coin she told me the item I was buying cost more than that. Then I explained to her it was for her and I went to the lineup to pay the normal way like the rest of the world. Other times when I gave her the bill without any explanation, or said it was for her, I got these looks of utter amazement as she stared at me. And continued to do so after I told her it was for her help.
It isn't only young ladies that react like this. At the hotel I've gotten similar responses from middle aged Thai men who get a 100 note gratuity on a 400 Baht meal. Even though that is a measly 3 dollars.
The girls are sitting inside a large glass room. On one side is 3500baht and the other is 2500baht, full service for 2 hours.
Ooops, looks like you got the tourist price. Cupidy's price is as follows:
Fishbowl: 1,800 for 2 hours
Sideline: 2,200 for 2 hours
Both are trained for the Soapy Slide Special.
Average Tip if she worked well is 500 but if she was outstanding, give 1,000
Cupidy is very well known for being a good ripoff place

Do you show your ID card or something? Though with those tips you are practically paying the tourist price anyway.
I would never dream of giving a P4P SW a 1000 baht tip, except on a few occasions {for a nonstop 2 hour BBBJ}. Though I regularly donate ladies 1500 ST if they are quite attractive, say at least 7 out of 10, and provide excellent service, like 9 out of 10. Or if she is a stunner I might even go to 2000 for special services. But these are prearranged deals or rates, and no tip is given.
If the lady is a regular and has a need, I might loan her a few 1000, or in one case a small 5 figure amount. BTW these have always been "repaid" to my satisfaction.
If she's cute and 25, and turning customers down, then what the hell is she doing in the Beergarden? It would be as useful as building a 5 star hotel on Kao San Road.
1} She prefered sitting in the bar to standing at the Nana Hotel parking lot.
2} You seem to assume their are no good looking customers at the bar.
To the contrary, i go there on occasion.

I left on another taxi and finally went to Poseidon.
How would one get the non tourist price when one is a tourist?
Same way you get into the pool area at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel when you aren't staying there. As you walk through the lobby, grab a newspaper, fold it in half and tuck in under your arm. Walk in the front poolside atrum like you are looking for somebody and totally half asleep bored. Shake hands with a waiter while ordering an egg white & fresh mushroom omelet, cold spiced pears, and an Evian: without looking at a menu. Gee, all of a sudden you are hanging at the best five star hotel pool on the west coast surrounded by mega VIP class stunners, and nobody even looks up at you, nary a glance, got it? Sounds corny, but shit yeah it works. If you got the balls, you can play. That's the way of the world.
Life is short. In two words bro: "Own it".
Lots easier:
At the MP say 'Sawadii krup' to one of the papas and pretend like you know him, (slow blink and smile, if he wais, give a little casual but polite wai back, they will suspect that you are a return guy and won't want you to break face, normally they will just shake hands) look away toward the girls, but continue talking the guy, and say, "hmm, maybe I come back next week. " Think in terms of each individual girl, not in sections, like "how much for this one, how much for that one", they are going to cut you a local deal, that's it and yeah, it's that easy. (If you do pick a girl, TIP the guy a little before you head up, a greased palm never forgets) If you do this every time, you will become a local overnight, that's it.
Also, never ever take a tuk tuk or taxi to the front door of any MP. Total dead giveaway.
First of all I agree with nic, cupidy is one of the biggest rip off's in BKK, price is always what the mamasan feels, 1800-3000 whatever he may feel when he likes, I was offered different prices on consecutive days, inspite of me telling him the price is higher today, as opposed to yesterday, he still did not lower, also they offer comissons to taxi guys so they will always be more exp. , poseidon has quite the same rates with better girls, no slip and slide in it though. Imho one place to avoid. Also the girls are nothing great, I have some looker few times but never had a good experience.
Average Tip if she worked well is 500 but if she was outstanding, give 1, 000
Concur. I believe that it is basically the same for most decent expat farang guys that LIVE HERE in Thailand (and do serious soapiness, ) especially BKK.
For myself, I can pretty much guarantee that I will get what I want every time. It's really a matter of care, desire, levity, attitude and passion ON MY PART. No matter where I go. Ramp the girls up to their very best performance ever? Of course! Therefore, I do in fact give many 1, 000 B tips, and in the end, they come up to my level and they do put out, (and yes they deserve it.)

All you have to do is tell them that is not the correct price and tell them you paid them 1800baht last time. They'll relent easily but that is still not my soapie of choice.
Good looking Thai women? Pulsating music? Vegas style coyote shows? I decided to spend a couple weeks while on business this month in Bangkok to visit the top gentlemen clubs ("G-clubs"). I was intrigued by this very unique concept. Something you won't find on the streets of New York or San Francisco, and also by "the chase" of girls who aren't obsessed with short-time/long-time in the Land of Smiles. After traversing through Soi Cowboy and Nana this was a refreshing change!
OVERALL OBSERVATIONS/THOUGHTS/ADVICE:
1. If you're not familiar with how these places work, the quick 101 is that they are membership clubs that are set up as upscale lounges or clubs. Many have live bands as well as a DJ spinning music. During certain intervals women will also come dancing on stage (the coyote girls). It's quite a party atmosphere, as long as you're not thinking about money! When you enter these places, you'll usually see a good looking mamasan who can speak some English to explain how pricing works. G-clubs are not cheap. Membership plans usually start at 20, 000. 30, 000 baht which gets you a certain number of bottles of alcohol (usually whiskey. Preferred drink in Thailand) or regular drinks (that you can use for beer. My preference) over the course of 1 year (see below for negotiating this). What makes G-clubs different is that you can pay to have a good looking woman sit with you and drink your alcohol, either from your bottle if you bought one or through lady drinks. Most of these clubs have an area where the women sit and you can work with the mamasan to find a woman of your choice. Most places also have hookah for an additional charge if you enjoy this. Opening times are usually 8 or 8:30pm until 2am. Sometimes later.
2. G-clubs are expensive, so if you're someone who counts every baht you probably won't enjoy the experience. The bill can add up fast, especially if you're not a member, through lady drink minimums, non membership fees (e. G. 10% at St. Moritz), etc. So if you don't have a membership and are using this for a night out on the town, be prepared to spend several thousand baht. The cost is more comparable to a nice night out in NYC or London, but by Bangkok standards (especially go-go's) is extremely expensive.
3. G-clubs are great if you want to take business people out in a safer, classier setting, or if you're by yourself and want to enjoy a night out with company. Most ladies you'll see at these clubs are a lot of fun and enjoy drinking and dancing. If you're looking for sex, especially quickly, these are NOT the right venues for you (and I'm a decently good looking, young guy). The women I met were more interested in a good time, but if you're persistent and come multiple times you definitely have a shot with the right girl. If they like you and you come more regularly, your chances definitely improve. But it's work! I don't think it's hard to get cell numbers and many girls will gladly SMS with you to encourage you to come again. I'm not going to give names, but I did find one very sweet, normal, and beautiful woman who I went on several dates with and had quite an interesting and fun romance, albeit short lived. So it's possible, but you really have to have patience and desire to invest in a particular woman. One girl at a G-club did tell me that there are some girls who are looser and easier to go home with, but you have to find this out and perhaps the mamasan could help you. I didn't try, but it's something you could think about.
4. Building on the point above, most of the G-club girls I spoke with work everyday and take 1 day off in a week as a holiday (Sunday is common). Perhaps it's the economy, but these girls definitely have to work to earn money. They usually get a fixed salary per day and then make a % cut from the lady drinks. 35, 000. 45, 000 baht / month is a common range of revenue for these women. Things in Bangkok have definitely slowed down and some nights ladies don't get any customers. The point is that getting to know these women outside of their jobs isn't easy because of their schedules. Many sleep until 2 or 3pm and start working again at 8. If you want to take a girl out of the venue, each place has a different charge. Some will deduct a bottle or two from your membership or a certain number of lady drinks. This gets her out of the venue and that's all (it's not ST/LT like a go-go bar). If a girl likes you and you've seen her a few times, one tip would be to suggest she call in sick or unavailable to her G-club. In most cases the G-club will cut her salary by perhaps 1, 000 baht, much cheaper than taking her out through the venue. Of course she does lose lady drinks through this, so you may want to compensate her for that, but it's an alternative.
5. Looks. In my personal opinion, many of the upscale massage parlor women (e. G. Poseidon, Amsterdam) rival G-club women in looks. So if you want to bed some of the better looking women in Bangkok, I recommend the "SM" category women at Amsterdam or model floor women at Poseidon, and possibly a few from Nataree. At some places (e. G. Caribbean) I was surprised how ordinary many of the women were, at least from my vantage point. The one thing you will see is most G-Club women have light skin, which is considered beautiful in Thailand, even if their faces aren't always the best. Everyone will have their own opinion here of what they find beautiful. Yes, G-Club women are definitely above average. But if you're expecting "hot" you may be a little disappointed. To me they felt like light skinned, massage parlor women with better personalities, and there are some (not many) at Nana/Soi Cowboy who are comparable in looks. If you want to speak to the most attractive women, get there earlier. As one hostess told me, the Japanese get there earlier, such as opening time, and leave earlier, so come early or get there late.
6. My one real disappointment was the level of conversation. And perhaps it was my bad luck and experiences vary. But despite asking for the most fluent and best English speaking women, each one I spoke with was conversationally only OK and you really couldn't talk to her about anything substantive or even beyond the mundane. Now, I'm not looking to ask her thoughts on credit default swaps and AIG, but I did expect a bit more English speaking sophistication, especially since many of these women went to universities in Bangkok. Getting back to point #3 above, if you're looking to get to know a girl and develop a relationship and don't speak Thai, you're probably not going to find someone satisfying at these places. If you do speak Thai then it's a different ballgame. But I just found this too frustrating. So my advice is DON'T worry about English speaking ability too much, especially if you're going to just have a good time. It may limit the field too much.
7. It's not easy switching women at these places. It may depend how shy you are. First, the drink minimums to talk to a woman make switching expensive. Secondly, Thai women are very sensitive about "saving face" and this needs to be done delicately. Thirdly, these women do gossip, especially if they feel a guy is trying to really score among the women there. At the one venue where I met the girl who I hit it off with outside, it would be hard to return because all the women know about me and my G-club girl said they all think I'm her boyfriend.
SPECIFIC ADVICE ON COSTS:
1. If you're visiting a G-club with the thought of getting a membership, I recommend having a few drinks as a trial first. Most places will let you buy a bottle of whiskey for around 3, 000 baht or drinks for 500 baht each. Most will also apply your bill towards membership, so if you have a rockin' and expensive time it may make sense at the end of the night to get the membership. Getting a bottle of whiskey, especially if you're with other people, is probably the most economical.
2. In general, I thought G-clubs tried to be transparent about costs, with some asking you to personally sign each bill which they showed you at the end so you knew where the costs came from.
3. That said, it can get very confusing to calculate lady drink costs. Most places had a minimum number of lady drinks (typically 3) when you sit down with a girl, and you pay more as a non-member. In a loud club with a shaky English speaking mamasan it may be difficult to calculate. Also, 40/45 minutes is usually the reset for the next round of lady drinks, and you're on your own to figure out time. Nobody is going to tell you that the next set of lady drinks have been added. I recommend you ask the mamasan to write down on a napkin the costs at the outset so you can clearly see and understand. Make a mental note of the time you started the conversation.
4. Also be aware of ways that your bill gets padded. At one place had a couple women ask if they could buy a drink on my tab when I was with someone else. Very annoying. Also, it seemed like some places really watered down lady drinks, or for beer they wouldn't pour the entire bottle for the lady. I started to ask that any beer bottle remainders stayed with me so I could see what was left! Also, some girls you're with will order shots on your tab which is a quick way to run up the bill. Just keep aware. If you're too drunk you'll probably regret the final bill. Finally, as a non-member you pay extra for mixers with your whiskey/vodka. This can really add up quickly. Mixers are often 80. 100 baht each.
5. You can absolutely bargain, but it seemed that the minimums for membership are harder to move. Some places are more amenable to extending membership from 1 year to 2 years, changing the drink allowance if you are not into whiskey, and throwing in a few extras like karaoke rooms which are sometimes 1, 000 to 1, 500 baht for a night of privacy. Think about how you like to party to get the most value.
THOUGHTS ABOUT SPECIFIC VENUES: Lady drink costs are ballpark same in most venues, and I didn't get or remember exact pricing everywhere. I visited St. Moritz and Soprano multiple times, while each other place once. Your experience may vary depending on the night you visit and the mamasan you speak with.
1. ST. MORITZ:
+ Impressive and fancy theater like party atmosphere with large stage for coyote dancing
+ Awesome shows and musical performances. There is one woman singer who is absolutely stunning.
+/- Friendly mamasans (ask for Rabbit), but more limited English speaking which made understanding membership process a bit more difficult.
+ Some of the better looking women work here. Especially a few of the dancers; get here earlier for the more attractive ones, especially on Fri/Sat nights.
+ Along with Soprano one of the nicest bathroom facilities and service. Although a little creepy to get a back massage from a guy when you're taking a [CodeWord140]!
- Cheapest membership is 30, 000 baht and as a non-whiskey drinker, only included 70 drinks (vs. 100 drinks at 20, 000 baht at Pent). As a non-member a night out will easily run you 6-8, 000 baht; there is also a 10% extra non member fee. If you like beer, non-member entrance is 1, 100 baht for 2 beers.
2. SOPRANO:
+ Probably my favorite layout of any G-club. A little smaller and snug, very cool center bar with plenty of couches made it easy to talk or dance anytime.
+ Very friendly service and mamasan (ask for Tik), although like St. Moritz the English was weak and harder to understand how things worked.
+ Easy trial with 500 baht per drink no minimum.
+ Same excellent bathroom facilities as St. Moritz.
+/- 30, 000 baht price is minimum membership. For non-whiskey drinkers you get 100 drinks where 50 are for you and 50 for the lady (better than St. Moritz).
+/- Coyote dancing is minimal, but the live band is quite good and takes requests.
3. CARIBBEAN:
+ Large venue with huge dancing stages; the dim lighting and setup looked very similar to "Bangkok Dangerous" movie.
+ The shows were probably the best in Bangkok. At times felt I was in Vegas.
+/- Huge number of women to choose from. By far the most of any G-club in Bangkok, but more average women than other places. More quantity than quality. Very few women who spoke any English. The dancers are hotter and probably a better choice here.
+/- No mamasan pressure. In fact, had to really ask to find someone to show me girls to talk to! Mamasan spoke OK English. Seemed more Thai-oriented. + 20, 000 baht membership option.
- Not the easiest G-club to find; my taxi driver struggled to find it (coming from Sukhumvit).
- Only G-club I visited with no beer option; had options for vodka or whiskey bottles that were around 2, 500 baht + 10% non-member fee.
4. THE FORTE:
+ More of an upscale lounge, with nice bars and seating everywhere, including the back if you want more privacy and quiet; felt a bit smaller than other venues (more comparable to Soprano).
+ A lot of available women on the night I went. They were all around the bar area so easy to look at; good quality.
+ Cheapest trial of any G-club, just 275 baht for a beer with no minimum! Hooray!
+/- No mamasan pressure, and had to ask to find one. Felt more Thai friendly than other places; asked a not very friendly mamasan which girl spoke English and she pointed to 1 relatively unattractive one only. Mamasan didn't seem interested in me and didn't ask about membership.
- Like Soprano, coyote shows are minimal, but here the live band on night I went wasn't that great (many slow Thai songs).
5. THE PENT:
+ Very friendly and good English speaking mamasans. Helped me find the right girl to speak with and explained the membership process very clearly. Probably the best mamasans I encountered (ask for Nadia. She's helpful and beautiful).
+ Lowest membership is 20, 000 baht and provides better value for drinks than other places (as a beer drinker, I think you get 100).
+ Separate lounge and dance room allows you to talk longer if you want. At some other places there is one room primarily and it can get very loud and difficult to chat as the night goes on.
- Much more limited selection of hostess girls and coyotes. Although a few were among the most stunning I have seen in BKK (but not surprisingly were taken when I had arrived).
- Coyote dancing stage is pretty weak and again with limited numbers of dancers. Significant downside to this venue.
6. THE RESORT:
+ Went on a special models night, so the place was absolutely jammed with a very lively atmosphere.
+ Perhaps due to the special night, just walked in and had no mamasan contact. When I went to buy a beer, paid 500 baht as a non-member but there was no other requirement which made the trial much cheaper! Cheapest membership is 20, 000 baht.
+ Like St. Moritz, thought the women were definitely more attractive than other venues.
+ Impressive stage layout and coyote dancing.
- Bathroom facilities were quite subpar compared to other G-clubs.
- Found it more difficult as a non-Thai speaker to understand how this place worked; mamasan did not ask about membership.
OVERALL RECOMMENDATION:
G-clubs are a very interesting experience, but you have to decide for yourself based on the above if they're for you. Don't go if you're looking to definitely score or if money is an issue. But it's definitely worth trying out at least once. Each place has it's own style. My favorite two places to really let loose and party for a night would be St. Moritz and Soprano. But these are also the most expensive. I have trouble recommending The Pent because of the limited number of women. Caribbean is worth going for the shows alone. The Forte is a good choice (esp. If you speak some Thai) since it's in RCA where there are other party venues within walking distance and for the cheap trial options.
I'd be happy to answer any further questions!

".....Next late morning, headed to Patpong after brunch and finally located SOL after a bit of looking, it's hidden behind a row of bars on Patpong 2. Few ladies sitting outside to whom I tipped my hat, and a couple of them smiled. There were two guys sitting inside on the couches, one middle-aged and one really older one, both with a girl each. I ordered a drink and sat at the bar, chatting with the lady behind the bar. Very soon, one of the ladies from outside walked in and sat next to me. I noticed at this point that the older guy had his girl between his legs and her head was bobbing. My girl asked me if I wanted some of that, and I asked where? She pointed to the spot on the couch next to the middle-aged guy. I shrugged and said sure, why not, and went to sit next to who turned out to be a really cool Aussie dude. My girl said something to his girl in Thai and they both laughed while he and I chatted a little. I continued with my beer while my girl had her hand on my cock through my shorts' leg, gently massaging it. She pulled her boobs out of her top for me to suck: they were those tiny ones with the huge nipples. The Aussie guy and his girl were tongueing madly. Mine pulled my shorts down, got my cock out and started slobbering over it. It was heavenly: sipping a cold beer while this woman sucked my cock. I looked over to the Aussie who was having his knob worked on too. Every once in a while, his girl would look at mine and give her some tips, which was funny, since I didn't think she needed any. At one point another woman came in and asked us if I wanted one more chick to join the ones already working on our cocks; I said no. I asked my woman to get up, I lifted her short skirt and slipped her panties off; she was more than happy to spread her lips and push her crotch into my face. I lapped her slit hungrily while I fingered her; she seemed to enjoy it as she grabbed my hair and pushed my face further into her puss. She went back to work on my cock and I noticed that the girl next to me was now sitting on the Aussie, fucking him right there on the couch! I love this place! I couldn't hold it any longer and shot all the way down my woman's throat. She continued to suck me until she had sucked every last drop out......."
What a great report! You describe the action and the atmosphere at SOL perfectly.
I only can follow you: That is the best place I ever have experienced. The BBBJ in the public is great, and if you wat you easily can switch to uncovered FS. So enjoyable.
100 is far too low to be known as a "tip". 100 is usually called "taxi money".
Whatever the name you call it, it is a reasonable amount. I almost never give more than 100 baht as a tip, and then only with a superstar regular (in that case I give 200 baht).
Please keep in mind that one has already paid for the entire service with the 500-1,000 baht fee, and there is never any actual requirement to pay more. The only reason to pay more is to make her a bit more eager to get together with you next time, in case you think that's an issue (normally it isn't, unless you are a really demanding customer.. I am).
Butthole
Please read carefully what Opebo wrote below. You would never catch him showing up to Cupidy MP in a tuk-tuk or taxi.
Word to the wise: When the driver pulls up to the door at Cupidy, just get out, pay him and then turn around, walk up the small hill to the Plaza Entertainment building. You can check out what they offer, and if there is nothing to your liking just walk back down the hill to Cupidy, walk in and you won't pay the tourist price (the extra is actually a finders fee to the driver). I have done this on several occasions and it works.
Better yet, use the Sky Train and BTS, and save time and money. I haven't used a tuk-tuk or taxi for at several years except to the airport.
Soap Fan: She didn't ask for it. I just gave her for a job well done.
NicFrenchy: Yeah, the price was kinda high but i was just tired of searching. Annie's in Rajah Hotel was cheap but the girls there just won't do. I'll treat it as a once in a life time experience. Unlikely to try it again next time.
Ralph Kramden: Thanks for the tip mate.
Bob1000: I'll reply you in the hotel thread.
