Medellin Reports

At some point, all of us were new here. But, I can't recall anyone on any forum on ISG that has had as many posts as you with each having a single question.

This is a forum for contributors, not so much question askers unless you put them all in one post and then maybe someone will respond to that single post.

What you really need to do to prepare for your trip is spend a few hours reviewing the city you wish to go, review General Information for the country to see what you can learn there, buy a subscription so that you can communicate with others off forum but only after you have invested time to get up too speed. And then you should also make google your friend and find additional info off forum. Only then should you be at the point with specific questions.

Never ask a question that you can answer yourself with simple research.

Finally, good luck. You seem apprehensive, I believe you said this is your first time. I would recommend you find a buddy to go with you. I think it would make things easier for you.

Quick question then I can figure it out from here. Last time in Medellin was about 2018. My regular destination had become the DR. Traveled there 5 times this year alone. But time for a change and aside form taking a 9 hour flight to Brazil I'm thinking Medellin is the place to return.

Is Parque Lleras still the best spot to find girls?

Would you consider Medellin safe for solo travel?

Any help would be appreciated and any additional information anyone would like to supply is welcomed as well.

Is Medellin safe for solo travel? I don't know. I always travel solo and I consider it safe for the way I do things. I know a lot of solo travelers who consider it safe enough to keep coming back.

And is it cheaper now, hell yes, and seems to have gotten cheaper and cheaper due to the exchange rate over the years.

Market research has shown time and time again consumers are sensitive to minute changes in price, quantity, quality, and your statement is consistent with this.

Parque Lleras is not the only spot or best spot. It really depends on your preference.

Parque Llerras is more of a night time activities. Club / bars and you got SW standing around there now which is very obvious than before pandanmic. It comes alive after 9 PM.

That would be a pain in the ass. Do they make you give them the name of the new girl when you take the new reservation or can you give it to them later? Do they give you a hard time about it or is it smooth?

[/QUOTE]If you want to find higher end street girls, Lleras Park at night is the only place I can think of. Just make sure you know the market. Most girls there over charge gringos. There are clubs right around the park where you all find very attractive girls, again, know the market soi you don't over pay.

I would consider Medellin to be safe if you stick to Poblado, Laureles and ground zero, given that you maintain a low profile and stay sober. With common sense, I think Medellin is generally safe. Also, early am is not as safe. I know a few friends who were robbed at gun point.

You will find it quite upscale if you are staying around areas like El Poblado, or even Laureles to some extend. Or you can judge by what the girls wear.

I have not needed to give a new name and it has been relatively smooth for the most part. In my last 5 or 6 stays (multiple sub bookings) I've had them call 2 x about it, but I discussed with the Manager and was not charged. The do photo copy the girls passport, so make sure she brings that and is decently well dressed.

Just from my last visit I remember Lleras Park being pretty active. And I am thinking along of line of me traveling solo I was assuming that might be my best go for good looking women and keeping in a relatively safe zone.

You mentioned not the "best" spot. Would you mind letting me know what you think is the best spot? Keep in mind cool for a solo traveler.
