Bogota is good for immersing in Colombia's culture, history, food, drinks, sights. Next time I would stay in the Cadeleria district and arrange dates with SBs or Tinder. So I landed in MDE at 12 am today because my flight was delayed by an hour. After an hour of migration I make it to my hotel near Lleras. I'm literally the only person in this hotel LOL.

The taxi guy was talking a lot. Explained a lot of the places in Medellin. Charged me 160 mil gave him 200 so he could stop talking. Yea I know it's too much it should be 100 mil.

It's not possible to stay in Medellin and walk to Santa Fe in Bogota in the same night.

Any city in Colombia is good for immersing yourself in Colombian culture. However, most travelers only have time to immerse themselves in Colombian cooter.

In my opinion that makes their reviews almost worthless. I'll explain.

The only part of a review which is of any value to others is the objective part. For example, "high temperature today was 83° and it was partly cloudy with a slight breeze. " That's objective. You can read that and decide how the weather was. However, "it was unbearably hot" is subjective. If the person lives in Nome, Alaska, his idea of unbearably hot is different than the guy who lives in Phoenix.

Bogota is a much larger city than Medellin and Santa Fe is different from El Centro. Santa Fe has more options than El Centro, especially late night. Bogota has a lot of museums located in a small area, whereas Medellin has the culture spread over a much larger area.

Each city has it's own flavor and each should be appreciated for itself, not in comparison with another city.

Bogota was native indigenous with little Spanish heritage.

There may be a somewhat different ethnic mix among those from the area around Medellin compared to the areas around Bogota. There was a lot of isolation over the period of a couple of hundred years, and the Europeans that originally settled the area of Antioquia are from different parts of Europe than those in the Bogota area. So the "average" appearance may be slightly different, but only slightly I think. And of the few thousand people that lived in the area say 400 years ago it is not likely that a significant portion of the 1. 5 million or so now descended from those original settlers and native people that lived there.
