You can't find the Oxxo in Google Map's Street View because it is too new (Street View pics are older) but it is right in the opposite corner from the KFC (which is always behind the camera in the videos).

Thanks JJ![/QUOTE]It depends on what you want the hotel for. If you want a room for a couple hours, any hotel en Jose Bernardo Alcedo will do. I've been in Hotel Risso, Hotel Jardin, Hostal Lince, Hotel Astoria (a. K. a. Hotel Asturias) and Hotel Quadrum, all within three blocks in Jose Bernardo Alcedo. Hotel Risso is the oldest and cheapest, Hotel Astoria (Asturias) the newest and most expensive, but the difference in price and quality is negligible. I've also been in Hotel La Princesa, a four-star hotel in the corner of Av. Arenales and Joaquin Bernal and Hotel Kingdom, another four-star hotel in the corner of Av. Arenales and Leon Velarde; the last is by far the best but, unfortunately, very expensive and no longer offering rooms for short stays (hours), only full days.

If you want to stay at a hotel in Lince, I'd recommend staying away from the hearth of the "red zone" (around Centro Comercial Risso) but, since I live in Lima, I've never stayed at hotel here and, therefore, I cannot recommend any.

At Lince, you'll find the action is higher at Thursday and Friday nights, a little less at Wednesday and Saturday nights, a lot less other days. There is a lot more action around Megaplaza, and the prices are lower, but also the quality of the girls and of their service is lower.

A good idea, if you have some command of the Spanish language, is to check the local forums, Perutops being the best IMHO.

Alright folks, checked out Lince again and booked a hotel there to get a good lay of the land on Friday night. A special thanks to JJ and Byun211.

I stayed at Hotel La Princesa. I arrived there about 6 pm. I showered, drank some beer, and just waited until I thought the streets would start to be worth exploring.

8 o'clock there are a couple of girls on the Arequipia and Jr. Rosso.

Police were everywhere chasing girls from one corner to the next.

Went again at 11 pm and the girls were alight. I would say 6-8 range. They charge 150 soles for 30 min and 45 for the room. 250 for an hour and still 40 for the room. Pales to comparison to some place like Santa Fe in Bogota.

Just curious about one thing: You lodged in a nice, girlfriendly, expensive hotel (I've been there and I like it). Why did you have to pay 40 soles extra for the room? Did the girls refuse to go with you to your hotel?

Tekila Rock would be the high end of the price range and streetwalkers would be the low end of it, so you give no clue as to price range. Without any other clue, I'd suggest you have a girl going to your place that first night; either from an ad-site or an agency. If you can, contact Jockey16 and he may know a girl for that purpose; Jockey16's girls are in the high end of the price range but a Tekila Rock excursion may cost you just as much and maybe more. If you are unable to arrange for something along that line, just go out and stroll around Central Park, Kennedy Park, Calle de las Pizzas. Check the streetwalkers, check Sabor Peruano, check Tekila Rock and decide on the spot what you prefer. And, yes, almost any girl in business will go to your place if it is close to Central Park in Miraflores, gringo tourists in Miraflores being their principal market.

One girl would not take off her shirt or let me use lube (the shit was tight) and I gave up. It was a taller girl by the name of Andrea. AVOID this chick!

Just not a lot of selection and the service so so. Next I will try the metro area. I have a feeling it will be better there.
