Let's get a look at the area: MegaPlaza is a really big mall on the Panamericana Norte highway. The streetwalker's zone is right next to it to the north (map attached), it comprises Calle 1 (C1), CalleB. (CB.), CalleC. (CC.) and Calle LOS Andes. There are several hotels there but I've only stayed at Royal Inn Suites Spa, in Calle LOS Andes, and only for 3 hours. It is a very basic hotel (2-star) but it has rooms with private sauna, which is why I went there. I don't know if they take guests overnight or the price for that.

The best hotels, IMHO, are across the Panamericana Norte in Jr Carlos Augusto Salaverry. The ones I've been in and can recommend are Hotel Asturias, Hostal Boulevard, Hotel MVH and Hotel Princess, Asturias being my favorite, all close together in the same block. Again, I've only been there for three-hour stays and don't know if they take guests overnight or how much they charge for it but I guess you can find out over the phone.

As a side note, right around the corner from Hotel Asturias, in Calle Santa Cruz de Pachacutec, is Restaurant El Aguajal with one of the best (if not the best) jungle food in Lima. Jungle food (comida de la selva) is not for everyone, some like it a lot (me included) some don't like it even a little bit. The restaurant is not fancy but is big and clean; if you decide to venture some jungle food, I'd recommend Juane de gallina and Patarashca de paiche (other fish is good but paiche is best), distrust the Aji de cocona (a spicy sauce they'll serve in a small pot to accompany your food), I like it a lot but it might be just too hot for a gringo; if you like soup, try Inchicapi de gallina. Of the typical jungle non-alcoholic drinks they'll offer you, I'd recommend Camu-Camu juice or Cocona juice; they'll offer you Aguajina, stay away from it, jungle people likes it a lot and it doesn't taste that bad, but it smells rotten. Of course you can always opt for Coke or beer.

Dealing with streetwalkers is always like flipping a coin, it can be heads or tails, also streetwalkers tend to be the low end not only in price but also in quality; I guess that is why I mostly stay with [I]"caletas"[/I] nowadays. She said that they just opened and people do not come until midnight.

I went back out and spoke with the doorman before leaving. He said there is usually a 20 soles cover charge and it includes 1 free drink. I walked back around to Pizza Street and saw 1 hooker standing in a windowway next door to the chocolate place that was already closed. She was pretty big though. Might have been a damn dude. The girls are no longer provided with condoms and are forbidden to bring their own, CBJs are therefore not possible and BBBJs strongly discouraged by the administration.
