Now they are not anymore. I used to bring new frames (bought for cheap on internet) and make the lens in Thailand and would get the lenses at a quarter of the price it costs in my own country.
Last time I did it was in November last year, prices have gone up dramatically, they didn't even have the Seiko lenses anymore, they put a Thai brand.
It's still cheaper than my country, but the quality is not that good, I don't bother anymore doing this.
