As far as how do I know them? That is too much to go into, here. You might ask Nixon who coined the phrase except I believe he's dead. Short answer could be accurate lifetime intuition based on past similar experiences. Long answer is posts that you may have missed about an entire office building following my exploits or the PM's I get from folks who never or rarely post here listing things such as they wish they could block every other poster except for me, or they have become "addicted" to my posts, on and on. So supposedly on Wednesday I might get something close to this amount according to a few other posters.

What he posts is entertaining and one of the reasons I check this thread specifically. There are other posts that pop up in this thread that are interesting and provide some value, but a lot for the most part I could personally do without. I don't feel the need to actually ignore someone through that forum feature, but there are some names I see that I consistently read one sentence and then quickly skip past it. Oste knows he's living an unconventional life and isn't hiding it. Many others on here have a hard time being honest with themselves and it shows. Myself included, which is probably why I lurk and don't post.

Actually, if it goes down tomorrow, hit the ATM Wednesday, not Thursday. I expect it to go even higher tomorrow because I don't see anything changing to reverse the current trend.

Since the election, there has been one down day right? What this means is that someone or ones is just engaging in pure panic selling. They do not care what the exchange rate is, they are moving out of Colombian assets and currency price be damned.

Until you see just some level of support, a few days of a stronger or even steady COP, that means the COP is likely going to continue to go down in value. The demand to sell Colombian assets and currency is way, way higher than the demand to buy them. I would not exchange money until you see three days of stable or lower rates if you can help it.

I would also keep an eye on the USD: Euro ratio. As the Euro keeps falling, those selling Colombian assets are more apt to park their money in dollars versus Euros.

These are monster moves in a currency market. The market is telling a much different tale than those on the forum who say with Gustavo in charge, nothing is going to change.
