Sakura Akasuri. Salt tapping
Sunday had booked a salt tapping at Sakura Akasuri on Soi 55, Thong Lor, just before soi 6, not as far as Foodland. For me, the dental clinic in the previous block and Sakura Akasuri both leave me feeling squeaky clean, though for very different reasons. Option 8 on the menu I saw, 1380 baht, 100 minutes. I have the contact info of a masseuse I've known for a number of years so booked through her. Glad I had a booking. 14:45, in the next 15 minutes, 4 others (Asian, my guess Korean. They all look the same to me) entered, waiting to pick from the dwindling masseuse supply. I don't really understand the chemistry, but something about being rubbed with rough salt, then having it tapped (light pounding) in, works wonders. That's on the wet side. On the dry, there's a massage while you're under some HOT towels roasting, but, once again, no apple for the stuffed pig's mouth. Extras are available which provide a nice finish, but extras are not the raison d'tre for me, it's the salt. Extensively reported on last year, so I won't repeat. ALWAYS a MANDATORY stop for me. Here's a link if interested:

Can anyone recommend a replacement for Tony Leather, used to be on Sukhumvit across from Robinsons, then moved to Surawong, near Patpong. Need a few SIMPLE wallets - based on the old fiber envelopes American Express traveler checks came in (which certainly dates ME). Only one I found was in Terminal 21, with the corresponding Terminal 21 pricing...
