It must be a pretty nice place with all the recommendations. So you guys are saying NO to the hotels? Not even the Medillin Royal, Art hotel, or Poblado?

I am also meeting up with some chicas I met off of Latinamericancupid.com so is this a place I can bring them with-out to many pros starring at them?

What about the bar scene? I am hearing Mangos, Palmitas, and Pub Escocia?

Has anyone done that Escobar tour? Sounds cool.

I was in Medellin last year and my two favorite places were ABYDOS and LOUTRON. Can anyone confirm they are still open and have not moved locations?

Also, I prefer these type of places. VIP, beautiful girls, not so concerned about the price. Are there any other recommendations of new places that have opened in the last year like these two?

I went to both places in October and they are both open (right across the street from each other).

Only thing I don't really care for is they are out of the way from everything else (maybe 20-25 minutes from centro and 40-45 from Poblado. However, there is a regular club a few minutes walk down the street on the Aybdos side of the street, heading away from the overpass (if my cerveza filled memory serves me correctly).

Abydos is 120K for an hour (I would/will go again).

Loutron I believe is 140-160K, didn't session since I keep a fast pace and wanted to hit everything. (IMO best at night when most of your other options are closed). Has a club feel to it and because of that Abydos is the better choice during the daytime since it is more MP in structure.

I should be there again in December so you can PM if you want me to confirm anything.

Hi Bonerangerfl,

I won't comment much on the Mansion/Casa Blanca, since they're my direct competitor (I'm the Girlfriend 4 A Week guy).

However, you mention meeting up the girls from LatinAmericanCupid. Keep in mind the the majority of the girls in Medellin have heard about the Mansion. If they ask you where you're staying....it might lead to some awkward situations. Enough said about that.

All the hotels I know in Medellin will allow female visitors. They will ALL
- ask the girl to show a valid ID to prove that she's 18 years or older
- ask her to register
- charge you a guest fee. I've heard that this guest fee for the hotels you're mentioning runs at around COP 70,000 ($37).

Another option you have are apartments or furnished rooms in apartments, if you don't mind sharing an apartment with (hopefully) like-minded fellows. You have more privacy in an apartment and they're typically more affordable, especially once you factor in the guest fee you pay to the hotels.

As far as clubs as Mango/Palmahia are concerned: A lot of visitors make the mistake to go there with the expectation to pick up girls. Not a good idea! You'll mostly find girls there who got invited by other guys, (their boyfriend??). Regular girls cannot afford to pay the entrance fee of COP 15,000. If you want to get to know girls, I would recommend less expensive clubs e.g. along 33 (Carbonsito,...). There you'll find groups of girls, especially on Thursdays. If you want to enjoy Mangos (it's a fun place!), make sure to invite a girl you already know or go with a fun crowd.

Hi. New to MDE. Just came back from 2 months in Asia. Pretty basic+ Spanish and staying at CB and looking forward to it. Curious if trips outside the city MDE are "safe" and whether anyone has recommendations (for area day trips?). Do you use the big hotel services or are there trustworthy private guides? Will be there 9/3-9/9. Do you go out "alone" at night and return by taxi or by foot? Curious and interested in feedback. Sorry for the newbie stuff-have patience.

Going to the Mansion is cool if you're only going to Medellin to meet pros. If you're trying to meet non pros too and your friend isn't into mongering I would suggest staying elsewhere, preferably an apartment. My go to guy is Andrew at [url]http://www.theapartmentmedellin.com[/url]. The upfront deposits scare some people off but you do get back the security deposit at the end of your stay. You can bring girls over without guest fees and harassment. The non pros are a little more comfortable going to an apartment than a hotel especially the Mansion. Andrew's apartments are in luxury high rises in the safest neighborhoods. You're already using Latin American Cupid so I would suggest using [url]http://www.colombiancupid.com[/url] and [url]http://www.romancelatina.com[/url] as well. For people watching in Parque Lleras on a Friday night definitely eat dinner at Basilica. I'm more of a Loutron/Fase 2/independent girls monger so I don't know the cheaper places to find p4p. If you don't have a hotmail or live.com email address you should get one. Every girl you meet will have hotmail and want to chat on MSN. Feel free to PM me for more information. Lo siento. Good catch, I meant to say Luna is across the street. I don't think I made it to Loutrons. If the quality is the same, or better, I'll try to make it out there too.

Abydos and Loutron are NOT across the street from one another. Abydos is on Ave 33 # 64-198.

Loutron is at Calle 12 Sur # 10-245 near El Tesoro Mall.

Maybe you were thinking of Luna Lunera which IS across the street from Abydos but that is open late night where as Abydos is not.

Blue Room, Calle 33 # 78-63 (10 long blocks from Abydos) and Energy Carrera 74 # 49-101 (across the street from the Stadium) are similar to Abydos and Loutron in the presentation of the girls. They come out in short white smocks and high heels then remove the smocks and do a twirl around to show themselves wearing only panties & bras.

I have long been told that all four places are owned by the same person.

Loutron is at same place in the Hills near Tesoro Mall, as usual and it cost 210k for one hour and it is still open. I have not been to Abydos.

Wow! I can remember when the cost was only 80k. Inflation has sure hit Loutron.

Is the price worth a visit??
Well, I guess everybody should visit Loutron at least once, but if the lineup isn't spectacular, just pass.

As a matter of fact, Roberto, one of the jefes from the Mansion (CB) told me not so long ago that the Loutron chicas in the past didn't make it at the Mansion 'cause most just couldn't cut the GFE ... too mechanical.
