Hey Guys,
So I have recently joined this website and I must say if these girls are accurate, OMG what a deal! I haven't played with the website that much, but the couple of minutes that I had scrolled through and checked out all the beautiful women, I couldn't believe my eyes. And the price is amazing. From what I understand is that you have to go to where these women work correct? And the price that they advertise is that the flat rate? Or do they try to upsell you and ask for extra baht? Also I tried downloading the app for my Android and it only shows it in thai. Is there an English version? Thank you.

Year after year it's the same thing. Girls will try charging more during what they perceive to be "high season". Go during low season when you have more leverage if price is a factor for you. Hotels will be cheaper in "low season" as well.
So many guys on here "settle" for a girl because she's 500 or 1000 baht cheaper. That is the opposite of what I do. It's difficult enough to find a decent girl worth barfining I'm not going to say no for 500 or 1000 more.
I would never say no to a Thermae girl for 3000 if she's clearly the best girl available. All I would think about if I got the 2500 girl was I didn't work my ass of all my life to settle for second best. 500 baht is barely enough to buy a Wendy's combo here in Tokyo.

I lived in Tokyo in the early 90's at the end of the BOOM, couldn't have dinner for 2 at a decent place with wine for under US $300.
I think my mindset changes in TH because of the great value around and thinking in Baht (big nos) rather than US $ (small nos).
Going to pay the 3500 vig on this one this next week when I'm back from Pattaya (2 hours = 3500).

Def worth doing
Due to a personal issue, my international days might be coming to an end. To the point my next trip may be my last. So I am thinking of doing something new. Maybe a can't miss. I've long heard SE Asia is a prime destination. I have covered South America and Mexico fairly well. So my struggle is deciding between Bangkok and Colombia or Brazil. Of course so much is subjective, but I have a few objective questions.
I enjoy massages, particularly body to body. I also enjoy the bar scene. I like to have a drink or two and get to know a girl before discussing term $. With that in mind, I definitely see me prioritizing the soapies and the gogos. (I'm still researching gogos and have alot to learn) Generally speaking, I seek value and don't seek out the leaat epensive option. But I do stick to a budget. Am I in the right neighborhood to budget somewhere around 16,000 baht (daily) for a quality 90-minute b2 be with at least a BBBJ AND a few drinks and maybe a couple hours with a barfined girl? (Obviously I'm not including food, airfare, hotel, etc. In that total).
I've read alot about the declining quality in looks at the soapies. Personally, I'm picky. Way too picky for a guy with my looks. LOL I am not a trophy hunter. I don't need a 10 to be happy. But I do like a pretty face. I know in Colombia, for example, I can't walk down the street without mentally salivating. Is the massage scene so bad that I'll have to visit multuple spots to find a 7?
Lastly, what is the recommended minimum stay? Or perhaps more to the point, how long does it take you to feel normal after those flights. The flights I'm looking at are 25-31 hours. I'm not staying in Thailand for a month. Say what you want, but this is not a location that I find terribly interesting to me in a tourist sense. In fact, I'm not sure I'd stay 2 weeks. Is it just crazy to make that trip for a week and a half, for example?
Thanks in advance.
Your budget is plenty strong for Bangkok. You say you have done Brasil. Like Scandallo or Bomboa? Or elsewhere. Bangkok is great fun and generally cheap. Having a legit thai massage (no sex) for $10/ HR every day does not suck.
My main advice to you is don't try to do the 30 hours all at once. Stop overnight in London and you can be in Heidi's bed (Diva escort) within an hour of landing. You won't get a better B2 B FBSM anywhere worldwide. Or stop overnight in Frankfurt and do Sharks or Oase FKK. Do one coming and one on way back. This is the way to fly to Thailand. .

I remember once I was bargaining with a girl and we couldn't seem to reach an agreement. Then it hit me, I was balking at the equivalent of $10 USD... Geesh. For me, wherever I am, I find out the going rates, and I know what I'm willing to pay. If she asks more, I figure it never hurts to ask, and just decline. If she makes a counter-offer, I'll listen. If not, move on. She's not the only game in town. The game changes, you either adapt, or find other games. Easier to do if you're a resident, but doing some reading here definitely helps.
The added twist is some girls come to the game looking for the big money of tourism. Without tourists, there would be fewer girls available.
Everywhere I've gone, girls always ask where you're from. Like I've said, the translation is: which price does she quote, tourist or resident. I'd find it entertaining to say I was wherever for the first time, and this was my first night out... Then watch her eyes spin around like a slot machine as she contemplated her good fortune. Then, in the ensuing conversation, I'd drop remarks, either local language or mentions that a first time wouldn't know, and see how long it took her to catch on. So I'm easily amused... and just about all take it in good nature...
Every place I've been, every year, I hear this over and over again, for decades. Yes, visitors might spoil a few places, but Bangkok is a fairly big playground. The market is controlled by supply and demand. Tourist season, there might be fewer choices but tourist season isn't all year. If you're a visitor, yes, you want to make the most of your time, and if you've laid out the coin for the airfare, hotel, etc. , you don't want to curtail your enjoyment over some relatively small change. I don't blame them. If you're a resident, MY experience, you know alternative places to go and have the time to build contacts. If you just want a new girl every time, regulars don't work. I don't blame the providers when they take a windfall advantage, but repeat business counts a lot as it's literally money in the bank.
Bottom line: visitors have the cash, residents have the knowledge, and if you're smart, you can leverage said knowledge to your advantage.
Biggest difference between today's scene and the early 00's is that residents and tourists tended to fish in the same pond and paid the same prices. Now not so much. Very few expats do the gogo scene. Drinks were cheap so you hung out with your friends at gogos.
Every night was a huge party. The shows could be fun. The double penetration show at Carnival was a hoot. Cowboy was 400 Baht BF and Nana was 500. Gals were 1 k ST and 1. 5 LT. Thermae, all gals happy with 1 k. Nana Disco 1 k as well. Street gals 500 Baht. Siam City Hotel was 1. 5 to 2 k, it was the Asian dudes Thermae. When it closed the gals and guys moves to Thermae which changed the atmosphere and the pricing structure. Gone were the fun girls who would grab your unit as you walked by and whiaper in your ear what they would do to you, replacee by non-intereactive wallflowers. Soapies were the realm of Thai guys and were pricey in comparison. At that time the local Thai punters paid more than foreigners for the most part. That certainly has changed considering the process on FF. Thai dudes want discreet. No longer kosher to hang out at a soapy with your work buddies. And places like the Pimp are for pretty wealthy Hi-so Thai dudes. And clubs like that have been around since the 90's.

She is very pretty, I wouldn't mind spending that for fun time. Would rather spend a little more and get great service than save 500 baht less and get crap service.

Regret not stopping at Scandallo now. But in Rio, I visited 1 clinica per day for b2 be and a termas each night. (That worked well and why I think 1 nuru + 1 bar in Thailand would be the way to go.) At $10/ HR, I might add in a legit massage to the plan each day. LOL.
And I like the flight tips. Most flights from here to BKK take me through Istanbul, Doha or UAE. Some have up to a 24-hour layover so it breaks it up nice, I suppose. But you can bet I'm researching Heidi after I submit this response. LOL It's most likely I'll go back to Colombia, which is my favorite destination. But BKK sticks in my head because, if this is my last trip, I want no regrets. Haha Thanks again.
I hear you. I lived in Tokyo in the early 90's at the end of the BOOM, couldn't have dinner for 2 at a decent place with wine for under US $300..
This is a mistaken stereotype people have of the current Japan. When I was in Tokyo in the early 1990's I agree everything seemed really expensive to me. The Yen was very strong back then. Now the Yen is worth less than half the amount it was in the early 90's. You can go to decent restaurants and have a bowl of udon, gyoza, and a katsu don for $7 US. Yes, $7 US! If you only want beef and rice there are many places for only 170 yen ($1. 20 US) to $2. 50 US. Japan is dirt cheap (if you don't need Western restaurants like Denny's) unless you want AYCE Kobe or wagyu beef for about $60 US. Stay a block or two off the packed tourist areas. Japan salaries are very low and there is no pay equality for women. Why you are starting to see more and more young girls working the streets and many red light districts.
I put Wendy's as my example so Americans would know what I'm referring to. $15 US for a combo but Wendy's is branded quite differently in Japan. It wants to be a high end Artisan style fast food chain. I never go to Wendy's here because they have outpriced themselves. Carl's Jr is less than half the price as Wendy's Japan.

Yes, I think all of us who have lived in Thailand play that game saying it's our first night in Thailand. Usually quickly ruined by another girl in the bar who recognizes you. My favorite when I'm doing this is when the victim says to another girl in Thai this guy is new. Then the other girl says he can speak Thai!

I tried to get 2+ days layovers in Vienna, Istanbul, and Seoul. Sometimes the airlines let you select your layover that might be 24-hours later than I would normally select (e.g. , 4-hour or 28-hour layover), that can be an OK deal but only 24 hours to visit a place isn't very much time. Whenever I've called the airline for flexible scheduling the price goes up for telephone assisted reservations, my best deals for several years have always been booked online.
