Having lived in CA, and before that in the midwest. I can say nothing in the AMPs equals the experience or even the good massage as in Bangkok. For some reason costs escape my mind now (its been a few years since I left the states) but I guess 150 is the ballpark for massage+HJ/BJ/fs (at some places you can get one of the three and at others all or none), don't know how its faring in the current economy.
When you add in the cost of travel, having to get time off, possible spouse, and possible stigma of going to BKK alone as a single man. I guess you could be satisfied with the AMP experience. I was for a while. The massage was the primary reason to visit the places; and sometimes I'd rather visit a legit place than get caught with my pants down at an AMP.
Now that I can travel to BKK more freely, am a bit older (none too wiser), and don't have a spouse. And often can add the stop while on work expense, I shudder to think of those dinky AMPs in CA with thier average to fugly girls.

Bounce Around, I completely concur. BuleDaddy is way off base with this one. I live in Southern California and used to live in San Francisco and to get my fix between BKK trips I frequently hit the AMPs. I also travel all over the US and frequent the AMPs in places like Honolulu, DC, etc.
There just simply isn't any comparison, it's not even close. The best times I've had in AMPs where the experience might approach a GFE still don't touch the experience of having a Thai Girl in your hotel room. The only exception might have been a Korean girl I met in an AMP in Honolulu about 10+ years ago.
If all you want is to get FS with the massage and extras, then fine. But we're all getting way more in Thailand....WAY more!
I'm not even going to address the stuff at the end of his post.
I'm flying back to Bangkok tomorrow and can't wait. I'll try to get a trip out this time.

I stay at the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit Soi 2 and it always has a lot of Arabs/Muslims there, especially during the summer months when it's packed. The sois across the street (Soi 3 and 3/1) are filled with arab restaurants (especially 3/1) and shops and people. The food is delicious. The JW itself has halal food which are marked at the breakfast buffet so no unsuspecting Muslim would accidentally grab a hunk of pork.
It seems that in all my hours spent in the bars, go-gos and other places of ill repute there though I don't see a lot of the arab guys. Maybe I'm just not looking or maybe they have their own places. They're everywhere on the streets shopping with the street vendors too.
For the most part they don't say much to me and I don't say much to them. I have no issues at all with the situation though. The one annoyance are that some of their kids sort of run amok in the hotel, but I guess all kids do that on vacation.
Not exactly sure what BuleDaddy was trying to express? Maybe it was to say is it really worth the time and money to fly all the way to LOS to get some honey?
I have been visiting AMP, for nearly 30 years, since my first divorce mainly in S.F. Bay Area. Deciding I was going to make up for lost time I hit them all AMP and the White massage too in the East Bay. Being single never bother to look over my shoulder I just walked into the door. I made friends with few Korean girls and especially 1 Thai girl that after years in the business open their own AMP places in PHL, LAX, HNL, and when I visited I hanged out with them and got to try out their goods. I remember when it was 100 USD for FS, now even today after all the years you can get FS for 160 USD. I've had my toes suck, ass rim, cold and hot tea, but you got to pay your dues to get a good provider but in LOS, cost and abilities to just pick and pick and be the man with more than one girl at a time I more than welcome the cost and time to get to LOS, anytime. But I guess if you are locked in and got to get your rocks off, going to a AMP for 160 USD is your only option then one got to do what they got to do!

Mixing the terms Muslim and Arab is not exactly correct. One thing to remember is that the Muslim world is very diverse and covers the globe. Hence, on lower Sukhumvit, a Hijab or the Niqaab can be worn by a woman from anywhere, and the guy with the mustache could be your neighbor from Adelaide.
There is a large Muslim population in Thailand, especially in the south, that follows Sharia Law. I live on an Andaman island that is predominantly Muslim. Historically, over the centuries, being great seafarers and fishermen, Muslims migrated across the Indian Ocean and into the China Sea and beyond. China has a very large Muslim population.
If you have big feet and are in the market for a pair of comfortable sandals, the shops between Sois 3 and 5 are the place to go.
Called in to Long Gun (Lucky Star) and spent sometime chatting to shy Miss Noi (nearly 170 cm but looks very tall in high heel boots). Hair now spiral curled (looked better when was straight) but is still stunning. I go there just to see her dancing nude as she has a stunning slim curvy body but best tits in the place easily.
There are a few other pretty girls, so this bar is still O. K. And better than most. Watched a few nice shows but left before the ugly shows got started.
Then called into Shark. Miss Jip was not there, but a good selection of pretty girls. Its a shame they wear a little too much. Don't see the point in wearing tit wraps that are see through. May as well take them off IMHO.

I did not find her the other 2 times I went and was pretty disappointed with girls asking for 500 baht tips or even trying to let me have only one shot.So I am not sure I will visit again when I will be in Bangkok again.
It always amazes me when the answer to deceased demand is to "just raise prices."
I say the answer to that is "fuck 'em.". Sooner or later the law of supply and demand works (except in the U.S. where socialism is the ideology of the day now) if you let it.

Last report I have read here about Eden Club dates from February, and it was closed at that time. Does anyone know it has reopened?

I just touched down in Bangkok tonight and didn't get past Soi 4/Nana. I'm sure I'll take the stroll down Soi 7/1 soon as it has some of my regular hang outs. I ended up going with an old friend tonight for my first night.
I heard that Hell Club in Pattaya was closed down, but hadn't heard anything about Eden. I'll ask around and report back.

I can't say if Eden still closed or not, as I don't go there any longer. Just ring up and check.
IMHO, Tulip is a great replacement. Standard of girls looks is better to my taste than Eden (even if some slightly overweight). Performance is 2nd to none. Can easily take take two girls if desired.

They raised prices because girls could not get enough money from cheap charlies (IMHO). Every business must raise prices occasionally. Did not coincide with current economic crisis.
Every guy also has the right to find somewhere else cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
