Looks like Tymoshenko just ordered massive quarantine due to H1N1. Apparently all school will be closed for 3 weeks. I wonder how that will affect the monger scene. Probably more college girls running around with nothing to do? But will clubs and bars be closed as well?

I will be in Kiev in mid November. Good thing I already got my H1N1 and seasonal flu shots.

Ukrainians are a funny lot. More than a few friends have started to panic today, and I mean REALLY panic, about the H1/N1. These have been what I thought normally adjusted people. How wrong I am. They have decided to cut off most human contact doing what is absolutely necessary. And, Bunny, no one gets any shots here since there are no doses for N1/N1.

I suspect this will now also have a serious impact on the monger scene with some ladies staying home and others being very cautious. If you cough or sniffle in their presence, forget about sex! The month of November and maybe even December may be a bad time for mongering here. Few ladies and high prices may be the outcome. We will now see what happens.

If I understood the Ukrainian news correctly (Telekanal STB), the Belarussian border patrul, has stepped up their Pandemic level due to the situation in Ukrainian, it looks like it could soon be a shut-down on the border. Maybe the border has been shut down already. Maybe countries like Egypt, Turkey, could soon do the same.

Better watch out!

I still have a limited experience of Kiev, only been here a month, but here's my answers to your questions:

1) I avoid websites. Too many scams. Don't wanna waste my time rejecting girls all day long till they send a djevuska 'good enough'.

2) Yes, it is possible for a $100-catch at RP. But then you have to hit the lower range of beauties. And I guess you want the top-line, so be ready to pay $200. Some stuck-up girls even want more – they are just impossible to negotiate with. People here live in a big denial of reality. I hope the combination of fewer tourists and the fact that it is winter will bring down prices.

3) I also prefer normal girls, but they are my plan B. No one can be trusted in this country, so if you end up with a girlfriend from Ukraine you need first to bug her mobile phone, and second, hire a detective firm.

And since you don't speak Russian, it is basically "dasvidanja" with your ambitions to get anywhere with normal girls in Kiev. But don't worry about that, since all girls who want to rip you off know good enough English.

I will try the normal stage tonight (Saturday), see if I will catch some fish, or what the story will be.

4) I have only tried two strip clubs (Haifa and Rio), so I don't know so much about them. But a lap-dance is not so expensive. I will have tried all the strip clubs later this month when I get back-up from home!

Sorry about the flow of bad news Jojo but it is what it is and next week you may well just be a loner. The news is all about the H1N1 and the present panic. It is irrational fear but it is fear nonetheless. This is normal flu season anyway and telling the difference between H1N1 and a normal flu may be difficult here. The news is that the epidemic which is now confined to Western Ukraine with more than 40,000 reported ill will reach Kiev within a few days. People are now walking about with surgical masks and they are all sold out in the drugstores.

I was out earlier and while it is a Staurday, it does seem that there are fewer people out or in transport. However, it also turned much colder and that may also have something to do with things. Dress warm, right now it is 0 degress C and below that at night.

Jojo, I do suggest you get a large supply of the masks and bring them here. If you do not use them, you can make a killing in re-selling them. I am not kidding. You might be able to even trade sex for masks.

I am not sure about the clubs and what will happen. They will probably be open but numbers will likely be lower than normal. If and most likely when the epidemic hits here in the way it has affected western parts of the country, then all bets are off about what will or will not be open. What I now see on the local net news and TV news sites is not good. In other words, it looks like it just may be very chaotic here for the next few weeks, but what else is new in Ukraine?

UA government is about to block western Ukraine. Towns Lvov, Rovno, Ivano-Frankivsk, etc. Thimoshenko just said travelling will be forbidden unless there's justified reason. Is mongering a justified reason enough he he?
Maybe it's true maybe it's not, maybe it has to do something with upcoming elections. Like there will be no rallies, etc. So the parties in the west will have less voters and Thimoshenko and Yanukovich more.
Didn't heard than in UA anybody died officially from H1N1 but when it happens than things will be on more higher level of something.
Belarus stepped control on it's south border. Border guards stopped number of people from Lvov to enter. They complained but got answer "address your government". Also there's proposition that for belarus visa a proof of H1N1 vaccination will be required as longs as it's needed.
