There was a bit of discussion going on in one of the threads about using Listerine as a disinfectant after sex.

Along the same line, my question is, is it worth the trouble to use Listerine or other disinfectant (eg, anti bacterial hand cleanser, rubbing alcohol or other types of alcohol) to wipe yourself down after BBBJ? My thinking is, if you clean yourself up after the BBBJ and before you put the rubber on for the main event, your dick is not staying in a warm, wet enclosed rubber full of the girl's saliva.

I've always felt somewhat uncomfortable (unsafe?) about putting on a rubber and letting your dick sit in it, with saliva and germs from her mouth, after the BBBJ and when you are having the intercourse.

Any thoughts?

I caught Molluscum Contagiosum my last trip to DR. I thought I had caught Herpes, which it is commonly confused with. I had several doctors state it was Foliculitis (hair bumps). Today I saw a dermitoligist who properly diagnossed and treated it by using a local anistetic then cutting them out.

The last couple of weeks were crazy with the itching, discomfort and fear that I might have Herpes for life! And the knowledge that I may of passed it on to my girl.

I've been tested for all other STD's and the results were negative. Thats it for me no more mongering. It's just not worth it! To my fellow mongers stay safe.

I have some experience with this....or should I say a bad experience with this? Years ago I was in Thailand and met a girl who owned a Pub and restraunt. I got my Pasante Unique's in the mail a few days ago and decided to try them on this 20yr old Filipina I've have been doing for a while now. My first dislike was the packaging. I've been meaning to try them out myself as they are as far as I know the thinnest condom on the market at only .015mm. They are not made of either latex or polyurethane so I think they would feel a little different but from your description it sounds like they don't feel as natural as the others.

Another brand of ultra thin condoms that I like and use frequently are Sagami 0.02 . They are made of polyurethane and are the thinnest on the market aside from Pasante. The Trojan Supra and Durex Avanti are the thinnest made in the US at .04mm. This brand is half that at only .02mm. I don't use Trojans because I'm boycotting the company, but have used Durex Avanti in the past and these feel better. They're really good at transferring heat.

Thanks for the info on the other thin condom brands. I'll order some when I get back from the Philippines. I might be able to find the Sagami's here in Korea. I'll check around. Until then I'm just going to continue to squirt a few drops of liquid KY inside the condoms that I do currently have. Doing that really increases the sensitivity and feeling for me, so you might want to give it a shot. Just don't over use the KY or you'll loose the condom in your girls honey hole :)

This is despite the PI having all the ingredients for an AIDS explosion- low condom use, migrant workers coming home and bringing back diseases, low health care budget, etc.

You said it yourself in the last sentence; she's not 'encouraged' to keep working, she's 'advised' to keep working. She's 'encouraged' to use condoms. That, in my opinion, is an extremely mature and understanding policy for a country to follow in the case of HIV+ sex workers and goes straight to the heart of the mandatory testing and exclusion debate.

If a 'regular' person is diagnosed with HIV, they do not have to give up sex for life. They are informed about their duty to disclose their HIV status and told to use condoms to protect future sex partners. The rest is up to them. If they choose to run around having unprotected sex and infecting others, they will face criminal charges. HOWEVER...the people who agreed to (or perhaps DEMANDED) unsafe sex from that person really only have themselves to blame, in my opinion. Everyone's so quick to blame HIV+ sex workers for 'spreading diseases', but the CLIENT'S insistence on condom use could have prevented it. Nobody forces a client to have unsafe sex with a sex worker, HIV+ or not.

The Philippines Government and health services are doing the right thing according to international harm minimisation strategies and HIV policy. If clients are concerned about HIV+ sex workers being advised to continue working, maybe they need to take responsibility for their OWN sexual health.
