I went by early on 05/31 and went with my usual fave and with one of my new favorite, Mariana. She is in my Fave 5!

Mariana is on the back street just past the Star Bar. She was telling me that she has been getting alot of crap from the door girls around her and they complained to the owner of rooms to get rid of her as they have no work because of her. Mariana also likes to strike up conversation, so this is good. Anyway, she said that the owner of the rooms/club told her that he was going to get rid of her as she is killing business. In a weird way, I guess this makes sense! ? If the girls around her have left, I guess he loses so he is better off with less attractive girls. Who would have thought that?

Having said all that, my top fave was also telling me that she was getting alot of crap from the girls next to her door so where she is actually standing away from her door as the old, obese, ugly girls are convinced that she is stealing business from her and yell at her. Man, you could not pay me to bang those other girls, I don't know how they survive selling their bodies. I guess times are tough being an above average door girl in NL!

A few new things I noticed. There seems to be some construction on the middle street. If you are going up the middle street, there is an out door bar/music venue in behind the white cinder block fence that is just before the area where Pimp Daddy's was. There were some workers painting elaborate upcoming music events on the white wall there.

Another thing that I continue to notice. On street two, there continues to be the selling of drugs in the "dark alley" that is just past the Green Building. I know there has always been activity there, I'm just in the opinion that it is more open then ever, despite all the soldiers and security. I just don't understand? But that is Mexico for you!

I read on another board that this is actually 123 coming back to life (way back in the day it went all the way from the first street to the second). What I've heard it is may be more of a music venue than the 123 of the old days. Definitely great to see new activity in the compound.

Glad to see there are some of ya'll still going to NLBT.

I stopped by there on the way to Monterrey. The last time in NLBT it was a Saturday night. Locals only. Kinda of an eerie silence within the compound. Maybe things have picked up.

Used to have beers with Beavis and everyone at the Hollywood and Maribu till 4 am.

Well, here's my report for this past weekend 6/20-6/22.

Left Houston about 10:00am Friday morning. Got to Laredo and stopped at the Walmart on 35 to buy some condoms and Hydroxycut. I got in line behind an old lady that had 4 items, and then there was two kids, about 10 years old. They had about 6 items in their basket and said their mother was going to be back in a minute. By this time I realize that I should have changed lines, but now it's too late and all the other lines are packed. They finally get the change counted, and the lady is still a few dollars short so she digs in her purse and pulls out some bills and finishes paying for her goods. I pay for my stuff and walk out.

Walking out of the store, I am accosted by a group that is collecting money for some church. Bad timing guys. I asked them if Jesus was going to be able to do anything about the cost of gas, or the failing American economy. They said no, but... I cut them off and said sorry, but right now I am only giving money to people that can do something. Sorry, I'm not usually an asshole, but then I don't usually spend 40 minutes in line at Walmart to buy rubbers.

Finally made it to Nuevo Laredo about 4:45 and was checked into Hotel Fiesta by 5:00. I threw my shit on the extra bed and walked to Herradura, because I really needed a beer. I woke up about 11:00am Saturday morning. I had a mega-handover. I showered and walked over to M&M to get some food. I see now why Bbond and McKlipsh like the place so much, great food and cheap prices. M&M’s tacos are much better than Don Luis in Boystown.

After M&M I walked over to Herradura to see what was going on. One of the same lookers from Friday was there, and sitting with a local. I left there and went to Montera. There was nothing worth looking at in Montera at this time.

I decided to walk back to Laredo and catch a movie and watch all the hot chicas at the mall. I saw “Get Smart”, and I highly recommend it. I thought the movie was great and very funny.
