Halai is all the way north at the front of Ancol. But that place is old, well ancient, news. You are not going to find the "model" stocks there. If you truly are a guy who needs models and you don't have the right agent connection, the you should go to Zen. Zen is more of a Karaoke - lounge place than straight p4p. The place is called X2, and it is made up of 3-4 different concepts (in terms of music), with a dining area as well. I had a meeting with the Marketing Manager to discuss a propsective promotional event for one of our clients. At that time, they had not fully launched the full concept yet, and I had a chance to do a walk-through of the place, where I could see that renovation/construction was still going on in some areas -- it was in the afternoon that I went.

According to him, there's usually a queue of "... thousands of people ..." on weekends, and they sell memberships of Platinum - Rp 50 million, Gold - Rp 7 million, and Silver (I think ) Rp 1.8 million. There's a cover charge of Rp 80,000 to get in, which gets you the 1st drink free.

There's 12 shareholders in all, and one of them is the owner of Red Square.

Anyway, just to let Bros JAD and Menteng know that I'm "back in circulation" on the mongering scene. Was involved with a single, cute, career lady in her late 20s for 6 months, and it got too heavy as she wanted a long term commitment, and was pretty mad that I couldn't comply. i know this post will make quite a few of you (inlcuding me! ) freak out but this is the reality sadly. as i am writing these lines, i am in bed with a wg from bats who has just told me of the story of santi (her bats name), a 24 yo javanese girl (her real name: kasuci), who's been in the business for about 11 years including working in malaysia, batam and who setteled to bats until about 1 month ago. 1 month ago, she went to hospital because of her disastrous state (bronchytis etc) with the wg i am with tonight (her neighboor). santi was diagnosed with hiv and aids at the hospital one month ago. upon hearing this, "my" wg called santi’s family in java who came to jkt to fetch her. santi is now in her kampung, most likely dying or close to it from the description i have just heard. she has been active at bats (every bloody night or almost) until about 1-2 months ago. apparently, she had a regular client from bosnia

i am franctically writing this post as, having just heard the story of santi, i am afraid of a potentially massive contamination. santi has been active at bats for the longest time and the fact that she has developed aids now means she’s had hiv for quite some time. conclusion: there could be a bunch of people contaminated already in the bats community.

Mandiri, that's sad news indeed. I don't know that girl, but I've known other working girls in Jakarta who have died of aids in the last couple of years. It always amazes me when I see guys posting pictures of themselves having sex with working girls and not wearing a condom. In discussions, some guys will tell me they think it's impossible to transmit hiv through normal sex with a woman. I think they are dead wrong, but they are grown men and can make that decision for themselves. I don't know of any studies that prove any other way of transmitting hiv rather than blood to blood contact, but a study like that would be close to impossible to verify anyway. Since there's no way to be sure who has what illness, I take precautions as if all working girls are hiv positive. I believe there's no way to be completely safe while sticking your dick inside an hiv positive girl, but I feel safer wearing a condom.

To add to that point, there is apparently a bule guy who is frequently at BATS and may have shagged pretty much all of (certainly most of) the BATS' regular WG's and who makes a point of shagging them without protection. The whole in-law family were in tears then to see the baby girl head back to Indonesia.

I** is now back in Jakarta. She is on a 9-months hairdresser’s training school in Blok M. She is 2 months into this programme and has 7 months to go to complete the course. She can’t wait to complete the course and be able to start having an income from this occupation. Her father, who did not want to have a daughter but a boy and who spends money on girls, does not support her financially – she has not seen him in 4 years. Her boyfriend seems to be sending her some money every month for child support. This is not enough to live though. So she hangs out 2-3 times a week at Shangri La’s club, BATS, and when she fancies the guy who approaches her (she prefers Europeans she says) she goes with him and makes love in return for money which she needs to keep her and her daughter going.

I** is a very attractive slim girl with a beautiful dark skin, a beautiful shy smile. When she lived in Europe all the guys were after her to the point where her ex-boyfriend almost had to fight with them to keep them away from her.

Though she is only 24, one can already feel her intense experience of life and her sense of responsibilites for her child and also towards other working girls whom sometimes she helps financially with her modest pennies. They are so easy to fall in love with: despite the circumstances they are in, they are so genuine, naturally caring and generous. A situation like this always feels awkward of couse: in particular because in the West, an angel like I** would find herself a boyfiriend (to become husband) with a good income in no time at all. Here in Jakarta, she has to meet men to make ends meet, which certainly takes care of her short-term money needs but not of her long-term situation. Once I** becomes a hairdresser, I would not be surprised if she has to continue to be a freelance prostitute to complement her modest income – sadly.

This one individual case is really no cause for such hysteria. While some STI's are easy to pass on the HIV virus has proven to be a difficult one to pass on from heterosexual sex. Certainly from female to male it's very difficult. With all the condomless play going on in asian cities like Jakarta, Manila, AC, Bangkok, Pattaya ect you would think there would be an epidemic among WG's in these places but it hasn't happened. Contrast the rates of HIV/Aids with the rates of other STDs like gonoreah which are soaring in every one of those cities. Only a handful or so of reported cases of bargirls in A.C. being diagnosed with HIV in a year? That is really quite astonishing considering the vast majority of WG's there are not using condoms with legions of men passing through there all the time. Jakarta recieves far less foreign sex tourists than AC does, so you can imagine how low the danger of a widespread outbreak of this virus in Jakarta really is. Use a rubber and there's absolutely NOTHING to worry about.

I think something that most members here don't fully realize is how/why it is that gay men transmit the HIV virus. While I'm not a doctor, early on in the advent of AID's I did some work (photography) for the CDC (Center for Disease Control) in the 'states and had lengthy talks with the experts there: When any two people have anal sex, there is a very slight (microscopic) tearing of the skin, since AID's is transmitted via blood, this transfers the virus from one person to another. Rubbers are NOT always a sure fire way to stop it, as it's possible for the virus to microscopically permeate the rubber, though it's certainly better than nothing. Guys here seem to always be looking for girls who'll do bareback-anal, possibly not knowing this is the very highest risk that one can possibly take sexually. In oral sex there has to be an actual open sore in the girls mouth and that needs to come in direct contact with the opening of your john thomas or an open sore on your penis, which is highly unlikely. Yes, AID's is extremely hard to pass along via vaginal sex, but with anal it's a whole different ball game.

On another note, I'm down here in Ubud-Bali and I've found that lots of ladies want to have sex with we white monkey's for free.
